the broth is what sets this place apart from the other ramen places. it's thick (almost lomi-like) and flavorful and the balance between the noodles and veggies are just right to feed one hungry diner. i must admit when they served me the bowl i thought i needed to order 2 bowls but after finishing a bowl. i was so full i couldn't drive.

i've been to yushoken countless of times. i have also been to it's blood relative mendokoro and not once did they fail in delivering.

broth - 5/5
creamy, perfect consistency, perfect seasoning. it may seem much, all those things on top of the ramen, but they jive in perfect harmony. i swear.

noodles - 5/5
some people want their noodles thin. too bad. yushoken's noodles are thick (just the way i like them) and has the perfect bite to it.

chasu - 5/5
i used to order the shoyu ramen but found that i get bitin with the chasu. so my staple order is the off-menu super chasu. tender tender pork.

pic: super chasu and shoyu ramen, karai tokusei

other recommendations: gyoza, karaage, tantanmen

if you want to try their dipping ramen, go ahead. it won't disappoint! i love their karai tokusei!

the long line isworththe wait, everybody!! please try it! i was 24th in line before, and waited for 2 hours to eat. no regrets.

agh, thank the heavens this is located in the south!!

i highly recommend you try tantanmen if you’re into spicy food. if not, yushoken’s shoyu then. i totally love this combination because i love spicy food plus the meat in the shoyu is just cooked to perfection. it’s so tasty!
i hear yushoken has the same owner as mendokoro in makati, but i actually find their rames different. for one, mendokoro’s had whatever is “malansa” equivalent of fish to pork, which i didn’t taste at all in yushoken’s ramen. i definitely enjoy ramen here in yushoken than in mendokoro.
you just have to be patient though as the long queue never gets old to this ramen place. it’sworththe wait!

living in japan for 5 years and coming back in the philippines, ive been searching for a really good ramen place here. its nice having yushoken in the south!! i ordered the shoyu tonkotsu ramen with aji tamago. id rate it 9/10 compared to the ramen that i always eat in japan! the soup was thick and very tasteful almost perfectly the same from the one in japan. *please note that there are hundreds of different ramen in japan!! depending on what city or region you are in. the chashu is grilled to perfection which i loooove so much!! thats a 10/10 for the chashu. the aji tamago was a bit too salty for my taste but it was cooked really well. the noodles are a 10/10 for me. the serving is just right. like a regular size serving in japan. price is just right.

we also ordered gyoza. it was good. 8/10.
we also tried the chahan. 8/10.

overall it was a really good dinner. it wasworththe price. will surely come back here.

ps. this is my top1 ramen in the metro!! and ive tried tons of ramen places since i got back in 2016.

came here on a weekday and the place was packed! you know how good and authentic this place is when majority of customers queing and dining are japanese, ordered the shio ramen which isworthevery dime, the broth is super rich, the noodles are done perfectly then topped with the best tasting chashu pork ever, everything is a symphony!

staffs are accomodating and well knowledgeable, must say it'sworththe queue!

we finally tried yushoken! even though it was thursday, a lot of people were dining. sadly, we weren't accomodated right away. we waited outside for 30 minutes. actually, they are the only restaurant in molito where people are lining up to eat. i can't say anything bad about their ramen. it was definitelyworththe wait. i love their tantanmen. it was perfect! we will surely go back.

the best ramen shop in cebu! for food, i like their tonkotsu ramens the best. their gyoza is delicious too. if you have extra cash, try their secret menu item. there's usually a line when you get there. the wait isworthit though, and usually not that long. try it. you'll never want another ramen resto afterwards.

by far the best ramen house in cebu. their ramen broth is is so rich and yummy. karaage is tender and juicy. gyoza is tasty. the shoyu ramen is the bomb! i love their customer service. if you dont know how to use chopstick, bring your own eating utensil as they don’t provide spoon and fork. the only thing i hate is the waiting time before you get to dine because the place is always packed. but the food is oh-soworththe wait.

ramen yushoken never fails to to give me a great ramen experience.

despite the restaurant always being packed, the food and the service has been consistently great for me every time i visited the restaurant. the ramen is hearty and flavorful whether you're going for a clean light taste (shoyu ramen) or a spicier alternative (tantanmen ramen). for the perfect side, i'd recommend karaage and gyoza. there's no crazy twist to these dishes as they stay true to its traditional taste, yet there's something about it that just goes perfectly well with the creamy broth of the ramen options.

when it comes to the ambiance, everything is quite simple - nothing too glamorous about the restaurant. i've seen more exquisite looking ramen joints. but, its best not to be tricked by its exterior as its dishes is what really provides its wow factor.

also, always expect a long queue. i have visited on weekends and the wait can up to about 2 hours. but, if there's one thing i've learned when it comes to yushoken, it's that patience is key! the wait will be quite long but it's definitelyworthit.

i'm from the south and i'll never tire from telling all my friends from the north that yushoken is definitely the place to hit up when they're in the area. overall, a 10/10 dining experience from me!

food: 5/5
ambiance: 4/5
price: 4/5

shoyu
this is the best ramen in manila for me, just cause i’m really the type to love umami. i find it even better than ichiran in japan! the broth is so rich, the meat slab serving is generous enough, and the proportion of noodles to soup is just right. i recommend you order it with their gyoza, it’s a match made in heaven i tell you!!! you’ll just feel so full after but it’s hellaworththe calories... and sodium lol

the price is alright; i’m still a student but i’d always be willing to spend that much for a bowl of goodness but i feel like it’s not the type you’d be willing to spend for everyday.

ambiance is also fine, nothing special but expect a line on meal time hours like lunch or dinner. but just a tip, yushoken and mendokoro are sister companies and serve the same stuff but yushoken can accommodate more people so it might beworththe drive to the south if you don’t want to wait too long.

came in here yesterday with my siblings for a snack but the line is long and we're at number 9 on queue which takes us more than 30 minutes to get a seat. good thing though was everything isworththe wait. when ordering, it kinda intimidates me that the staff is repeatedly recommending to put chili on my super chasyu ramen even if i don't want chilis on my soup. overall the experience was great and craving statisfied especially when i tasted my first bowl of super chasyu ramen (smoky, tender pork and rich broth) gyoza is okay but karaage stands ahead.
