tasty food, good service. loved our salmon salad and pulled pork burger dishes. interesting menu. loved the look of the breakfast menu ... will be back to try. but, so noisy. will only go when it's outside-sitting weather.

pretty average, but at least you don't pay $25 for breakfast. had the 'avo dish' for breakfast. was hardly any goats cheese or chilli oil and hence the dish was basically bland and flavourless. the eggs were meant to be poached but were basically raw. at least they weren't over cooked. $17 and still hungry after eating this. the cazuela was flavoursome and filling and the bread was good (but they should give you at least one more slice). but as far as canberra goes, the price was reasonable at $16 and was quite filling.
the cappuccino was covered (and hence ruined) in pure, super bitter, cocoa powder!?! why would you do that? the chai latte was overwhelmingly sweet.
on the upside, you never run out of water. staff were helpful but not particularly friendly or cheerful (typical for canberra), but the service was pretty quick. won't be going back in a hurry.

perfect!. i am french and there is no many places where you can have a quality breakfast. the coffee and croissant were delicious. great atmosphere and very friendly staff. will come back again.

penny's cronuts are crispy and very flaky - i tried cutting it in half with a knife when i got home (there was a lovely crunch sound) and flakes went flying everywhere.

i had a great experience. although there was a 10 minute wait for a table at breakfast, the hostess was welcoming and took our coffee orders with choice of coffee roasts while we wait. a fresh and modern breakfast menu. the decor makes it feel homely. a trendy place without the pretentiousness.

nice find!. went on a wednesday for breakfast and the place was busy with an interesting mix of customers. coffee is roasted on site and the brew is strong and bold. really cute fit out and loved the open style kitchen. the menu is full of variety and making a decision was proving difficult. settled on the soft baked eggs with beans, greens and labne. beans had just the right amount of heat but the dish was a little luke warm which let it down. the others at the table ordered avocado on toast with corn and quinoa salsa, an tasty and filling dish, and the heath board, a shot of green juice, muesli (a little overly sweet) rhubarb and yoghurt panacotta, very cute but the whole combo was all a bit too sweet. only a new kid on the block but i can see this place going a long way.

i’d expect the baked beans to be piping hot to counter the soft poached eggs but they’re a little luke warm. that said, the flavours meld beautifully, and the rye is thick, fresh and gorgeous. the nature of the dish means there’s a lot left at the end which can’t be pierced with a fork; tearing off strips of bread to mop it up is the perfect solution. what’s more, the dishes come with proper steak knives if you need to cut into the bread – finally a restaurant gets it.

what a fantastic addition to kingston! brilliant decor, lots of seating, attentive staff, creative menu, delicious food and great coffee. i have no doubt that this place will be buzzing with customers in no time, so get in fast.

a class act. juice of the day super snappy. croissant french toast heaven. best coffee in kingston.
