we ordered a half slab of ribs and half a smoked chicken. their sides are standard fries and slaw and not much to write home about. the meat was very good. nice smoke line and fall off the bone. the sauce was the winner. after eating sauce all over this great nation i can say with absolute certainty that marlowe’s was the best tomato bbq sauce i have ever eaten. it was spicy and sweet and tangy. it has a nice tomato flavor but good seasoning too. it is perfectly rounded.

marlowe’s restaurant and pig trailer are right on elvis presley blvd, just down the street from graceland. the photos here were taken from an old crappy cell phone camera about six or seven years ago. check back in the future for a full review. in short, the only thing i liked about the ribs was the sauce. if you’d like to read more about it sooner, comment to let me know. until then, don’t miss my quick-fire guide below. also check out full reviews and quick-fire guides of other bbq restaurants from my bbq guide.

best baked beans. ribs were tasty. staff is friendly and offered prompt service. kids split a brisket plate, which also was tender and delicious.

big portions. thick cut brisket was good, ribs good. we are use to smoked bbq so it's hard to judge bbq fairly. apple pie ala mode great!

amazing!!. this was bar-none the best barbeque experience i've ever had. the food was plentiful, i had to take home half. the meat was tender and juicy, and the sides were fantastic. i had the beef brisket, pulled pork, beans, cole slaw and corn fritters and the wife had the chicken and ribs (same sides). we split them and i can honestly say that every item was simply top-notch. what's more, the service was friendly and kind and the atmosphere was refreshing. forget graceland, this restaurant is a must-visit if you happen to be within a 100 mile radius. just kidding about the forget graceland, but make this a stop while here. enjoy!

wow! this place was great. starting from the moment we walked in. very friendly staff and we also had a great waitress. she was friendly and attentive. the parking lot was packed and so was the restaurant but no waiting for a table. now the food, we ordered a combo three meats and three sides. it was enough for at least four people! and boy was it great! the ribs were smoky and fell off the bone, the brisket was tender and the pulled pork was tasty as well. we were visiting memphis from texas and i have to say it was better than some bbq that i have eaten in texas!

first timer out of towners. love the decor and elvis 🕺 history. food was great and food value.

had the fried green tomatoes to start. big and thick and really good. my wife had the elvis burger and said it was great.

sure was more meat than the dyers burger that she didn’t enjoy a couple days ago. had the ribs and they were very good. well with the visit.

been here twice .... loves it so much the first time i came back, second experience made me never want to come back, food tasted delicious until i scooted my tbone steak plate to the side and discoved two baby raoches where also having dinner with me and my fiancee, luckily the waitress was there to smash and kill them with her bare hands... then proceeded to hand me my bill in full amount after asking was the roches going to pay part of their bill they finally gave me 20% off ... this was my favorite part of memphis... i still tipped the waitress and left but i don't think i'll be headed back there on my next visit, i'll go 15 mins away to the bb king blues club downtown.

bbq combo. had the brisket and the pulled pork / very moist and seasoned well / needed
to get extra sauce though i like mine covered and while not the best their bbq
is really good. the wait staff is really nice the big draw back for me is the constant elvis music , not a fan , but this is the land of elvis and the wife
and daughter like him and their food.

great ribs. ate at marlowe's a few nights after eating at cvr downtown. found marlowe's ribs to be much more to our liking. the ribs were very meaty, had great smoked flavor, and were not slathered in extra rub or sauce. the two of us shared a rack of ribs and 4 sides ($23) and could not finish it all. the beans, okra, and mushroom sides were good. the coleslaw was mediocre at best. we'll be back!

marlowe’s succeeds in that it puts the food before the fact that it located only minutes from graceland. sure, you are inundated with all things elvis including a pink limo, but the commitment to good food is evident, highlighted by the very impressive smoker which “graces” the busy interior. the smoked meats were delicious even though they were heavily sauced in the traditional memphis “wet” style. like i mentioned, the b-sides made for good eating as well.
