best baked beans. ribs were tasty. staff is friendly and offered prompt service. kids split abrisketplate, which also was tender and delicious.

big portions. thick cutbrisketwas good, ribs good. we are use to smoked bbq so it's hard to judge bbq fairly. apple pie ala mode great!

wow! this place was great. starting from the moment we walked in. very friendly staff and we also had a great waitress. she was friendly and attentive. the parking lot was packed and so was the restaurant but no waiting for a table. now the food, we ordered a combo three meats and three sides. it was enough for at least four people! and boy was it great! the ribs were smoky and fell off the bone, thebrisketwas tender and the pulled pork was tasty as well. we were visiting memphis from texas and i have to say it was better than some bbq that i have eaten in texas!

is really good. the wait staff is really nice the big draw back for me is the constant elvis music , not a fan , but this is the land of elvis and the wife
and daughter like him and their food.

very average. i've eaten in practically every bbq restaurant in memphis and i was very unimpressed with my visit to marlowe's. the place itself is in a prime location (near graceland) for the droves of elvis fans. inside, the place is worn and outdated, but worse yet, just plain dirty. it could stand to have a deep clean & disinfect and then an update - especially the worn, sticky tables and chairs. i had thebrisketand pulled pork. it is expensive, but you get a ton of meat (you could definitely split with someone). however, big portions weren't a score because this cue is simply average at best. the meat itself was dry. it is served to you with their sauce dumped on top of the meat. not wild about their sauce - tasted like very tangy ketchup. coleslaw was flavorless, baked beans were marginal. too many better bbq options in memphis.

good. the pulled pork sandwich was good. the bbq'ed beefbrisketwas excellent. the sides ( cole slaw and baked beans) were average. a good meal overall, but there are better to be had in this bbq mecca.

way less than the hype.... saw a feature on "drive-in, diners & dives." was in from the new orleans area. the pulled pork was tough (like it had been sitting out quite a while). the "baked" macaroni should have been called "soup" macaroni because it was floating in cheese...can't believe that it came anywhere near an oven. the onion rings were dripping grease. the breast of the chicken was tough...not juicy or tender. the ribs had some sort of "off" taste. the bar-b-q sauce was just slopped on...i prefer that it be cooked on. stay away from the bathrooms...disgusting sums them up. thebrisketwas excellent, so were the corn nuggets & baked beans. would not return.

very disappointing. not sure if our expectations were set high due to food network, but we were not impressed.
good: the staff. our waitress was very cheerful and helpful.
bad: the food! nothing tasted smoked at all. we had brisket, ribs, and pulled shoulder. thebrisketby far was better than the others, and it wasn't that great. the shoulder seemed overcooked as it was mushy, and not very "pulled". the ribs were the most disappointing. they tasted like they were oven cooked instead of smoked on a pit.

reading the reviews and seeing guy on the show made us think we were in for a treat. it ended up a trick!

thank you very much. in & out more bums on seats, service good and friendly, food a bit disappointing,brisketwas cold and a few days old, also a bit fatty like it was being held in a holding pen and not out of the smoker.

ribs, fall of the bone tender but the rub and the sauce uneventfull, sides, beans where over cooked and must have been simmering for days kinda mushy.

most upsetting was the screaming kids at 9:00pm and the parents ignoring the noise, didn't know if i was to tell the kids to shut up or the parents to deal with it for being so indifferant, maybe the kids didn't like elvis.

however not liking the place very much, coolest thing is the free ride to and from your hotel

ribs and pulled pork - excellent, baked beans and cole slaw good, onion rings fries avg, mac n cheese andbrisketawful. ambience good. cleanliness awful to gross. this was a triple d place! 2 waitresses and no bus staff on sat night. wouldn't go back unless ordering ribs to go.
