very average. i've eaten in practically every bbq restaurant in memphis and i was very unimpressed with my visit to marlowe's. the place itself is in a prime location (near graceland) for the droves ofelvisfans. inside, the place is worn and outdated, but worse yet, just plain dirty. it could stand to have a deep clean & disinfect and then an update - especially the worn, sticky tables and chairs. i had the brisket and pulled pork. it is expensive, but you get a ton of meat (you could definitely split with someone). however, big portions weren't a score because this cue is simply average at best. the meat itself was dry. it is served to you with their sauce dumped on top of the meat. not wild about their sauce - tasted like very tangy ketchup. coleslaw was flavorless, baked beans were marginal. too many better bbq options in memphis.
