we ordered a half slab of ribs and half a smoked chicken. their sides are standard fries and slaw and not much to write home about. the meat was very good. nice smoke line and fall off the bone. the sauce was the winner. after eating sauce all over thisgreatnation i can say with absolute certainty that marlowe’s was the best tomato bbq sauce i have ever eaten. it was spicy and sweet and tangy. it has a nice tomato flavor but good seasoning too. it is perfectly rounded.

wow! this place was great. starting from the moment we walked in. very friendly staff and we also had agreatwaitress. she was friendly and attentive. the parking lot was packed and so was the restaurant but no waiting for a table. now the food, we ordered a combo three meats and three sides. it was enough for at least four people! and boy was it great! the ribs were smoky and fell off the bone, the brisket was tender and the pulled pork was tasty as well. we were visiting memphis from texas and i have to say it was better than some bbq that i have eaten in texas!

first timer out of towners. love the decor and elvis 🕺 history. food wasgreatand food value.

had the fried green tomatoes to start. big and thick and really good. my wife had the elvis burger and said it was great.

sure was more meat than the dyers burger that she didn’t enjoy a couple days ago. had the ribs and they were very good. well with the visit.

great ribs. ate at marlowe's a few nights after eating at cvr downtown. found marlowe's ribs to be much more to our liking. the ribs were very meaty, hadgreatsmoked flavor, and were not slathered in extra rub or sauce. the two of us shared a rack of ribs and 4 sides ($23) and could not finish it all. the beans, okra, and mushroom sides were good. the coleslaw was mediocre at best. we'll be back!

great tourist restaurant!. i went there march '09 on a weekend trip with some friends to see graceland. we were on a budget, but wanted to have one good meal at a bbq restaurant while we were in memphis.
great service! we called ahead and they had their pink cadillac pick us up to and from our hotel, free of charge!! (we tipped the driver, of course). the service and atmosphere was fun, elvis artifacts everywhere, including in the table.greatfood! we had fun!

all hype. delajode hit it spot on! staff was very friendly but the food was disappointing. i didn't realize guy hit this place up until after we got there. i sat down and expected decadence but got despondence. the bbq was mediocre. i wasn't bad, just not national television good. the banana pudding wasgreatthough (but how can you muck that up). if you're looking for memphis bbq look elsewhere..unless you love elvis. actually, still look elsewhere, just hit up graceland on your way through.

awesome! the bbq chicken is my favorite.. the fried green tomatoes are obviously hand battered and delicious. the staff is wonderful and very friendly. not to mention they have a bar! what's not to love?! as for the bathroom, it was clean, just worn from usage. and if they are always as busy as they were this monday i can see why! overallgreatfood and atmosphere!

great place. this might be a sleeper... for all that you hear about other memphis restaurants i never hear much about marlowe's (i'm from out of state though). friends recommended marlowe's (across from graceland) and said they had the best ribs in memphis. they weren't kidding. they havegreatbbq (pork and ribs) and the fried catfish is awesome.greatsides too. love the elvis decor!

texas to new jersey and back and this was the one place my wife insisted on.greatribs, pulled pork and brisket! baked beans, and onion rings were the best! if you are in memphis you should give it a try!

best baby back ribs i ever had! the meat was tender and juicy. the sauce wasgreattoo. we were picked up at the hotel and returned by the pink limo!

awesome ribs and pulled pork. ate the ribs dry with sauce...greatflavor falling off the bone and literally apart. awesome service! and try their fried pickles!
