awesome! the bbq chicken is my favorite.. the fried green tomatoes are obviously hand battered and delicious. the staff is wonderful and very friendly. not to mention they have a bar! what's not to love?! as for the bathroom, it was clean, just worn from usage. and if they are always as busy as they were this monday i can see why! overall great food and atmosphere!

way less than the hype.... saw a feature on "drive-in, diners & dives." was in from the new orleans area. the pulled pork was tough (like it had been sitting out quite a while). the "baked" macaroni should have been called "soup" macaroni because it was floating in cheese...can't believe that it came anywhere near an oven. the onion rings were dripping grease. the breast of the chicken was tough...not juicy or tender. the ribs had some sort of "off" taste. the bar-b-q sauce was just slopped on...i prefer that it be cooked on. stay away from the bathrooms...disgusting sums them up. the brisket was excellent, so were the corn nuggets & baked beans. would not return.

very disappointing. not sure if our expectations were set high due to food network, but we were not impressed.
good: the staff. our waitress was very cheerful and helpful.
bad: the food! nothing tasted smoked at all. we had brisket, ribs, and pulled shoulder. the brisket by far was better than the others, and it wasn't that great. the shoulder seemed overcooked as it was mushy, and not very "pulled". the ribs were the most disappointing. they tasted like they were oven cooked instead of smoked on a pit.

reading the reviews and seeing guy on the show made us think we were in for a treat. it ended up a trick!

thank you very much. in & out more bums on seats, service good and friendly, food a bit disappointing, brisket was cold and a few days old, also a bit fatty like it was being held in a holding pen and not out of the smoker.

ribs, fall of the bone tender but the rub and the sauce uneventfull, sides, beans where over cooked and must have been simmering for days kinda mushy.

most upsetting was the screaming kids at 9:00pm and the parents ignoring the noise, didn't know if i was to tell the kids to shut up or the parents to deal with it for being so indifferant, maybe the kids didn't like elvis.

however not liking the place very much, coolest thing is the free ride to and from your hotel

great place. this might be a sleeper... for all that you hear about other memphis restaurants i never hear much about marlowe's (i'm from out of state though). friends recommended marlowe's (across from graceland) and said they had the best ribs in memphis. they weren't kidding. they have great bbq (pork and ribs) and the fried catfish is awesome. great sides too. love the elvis decor!

great atmosphere. fun location close to graceland with the pink caddys in the parking lot. food is average. staff is excellent.

unexpected monday night trip downtown resulted in a good reason to go to marlowes. it was still busy from the elvis week festivities, but our server was able to present our barbecue sandwich and barbecue baked potato fairly quickly. the sauce is good - sweet with a little bite. we both enjoyed the food and even the ancient elvis decor.

texas to new jersey and back and this was the one place my wife insisted on. great ribs, pulled pork and brisket! baked beans, and onion rings were the best! if you are in memphis you should give it a try!

ribs and pulled pork - excellent, baked beans and cole slaw good, onion rings fries avg, mac n cheese and brisket awful. ambience good. cleanliness awful to gross. this was a triple d place! 2 waitresses and no bus staff on sat night. wouldn't go back unless ordering ribs to go.

tasty. can't really vouch for the environment because it was delivered to us by a very nice gentleman who looked like a part-time bookie and while they mis-matched all of the side-dishes , it was so good! no complaints about the food!

best baby back ribs i ever had! the meat was tender and juicy. the sauce was great too. we were picked up at the hotel and returned by the pink limo!

awesome ribs and pulled pork. ate the ribs dry with sauce... great flavor falling off the bone and literally apart. awesome service! and try their fried pickles!

not great, not bad. overall decent meal, although by memphis standards this is a middle of the road meal. i'd say try rendezvous, pig on beale and a few others first. tried this on a recommendation from our hotel as it was close. it was good once. atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was good.
