breathtaking breakfast!. the location of this pub is what sets it apart. dining room is very tranquil and the views of the hills are astounding. i dined here for breakfast recently and could not go past the granola, which was served in a beautiful toffee basket. it is a shame breakfast is only available on weekends. i returned mid week to enjoy alunchand i was a little disappointed with the menu, which did not have a lot of variety, especially if you would rather a healthier/light option. thelunchand dinner menu is laden with deep fried dishes, burgers and pizzas. please add something basic to the menu for fussy eaters, such as a nice chicken salad or similar.

have been here a few times and had very different experiences. went there for dinner last night & ordered a chicken snitty with mushroom gravy, a staple for any pub worth it's salt but was very disappointed! the snitty it's self was tiny, no bigger then my hand. it was very dry and was like cutting through leather. for 23$ i was quite disappointed. my partner had a meat lovers pizza which he did not enjoy either, it was covered in a very tasteless pork meat that ruined the entire pizza.

visited for sundaylunchwith some friends and was happily surprised! the setting was beautiful, the dinning room on the second floor has wall to wall glass doors allowing you to enjoy the great views in a winters day from the warmth of inside ( the warmth thanks to a large wood fire in the dinning room!) the hotel also has a large deck/ balcony that will be lovely in the warmer weather but a bit chilly in the cold as there are no outdoor heaters. the food was above average pub fare with all the usuals appearing on the menu along with wood oven pizzas ( available in sml, medium & lge. large being more then enough to share between 2!) i enjoyed a delicious and very large burger for $15. i couldn't fault the food but found the staff were a little on the slack side, we requested some aioli that we never did end up getting.
all in all a great renovated pub just a few minutes drive from the north eastern suburbs but still nestled away in a quiet scenic spot of the adelaide hills, will defiantly be back!!

had mothers daylunchhere. there was a set menu..... was $50 a head for a small tasting platter of cheese and bread and a couple of pieces of ham and a main meal with no sides. i felt this was way over priced and that at least a glass of bubbly or a small dessert should have been included for that price. food was average and staff were slow to take orders. wasn't overly impressed for the amount of money we paid.

sundaylunchin an idyllic setting up in the adelaide hills.
settled on a couple of lovely wines and the "adelaide hills board" which comprised local meats, cheese, pate etc and oysters for starters. magnificent fresh food. attentive service.
just as well we had not ordered anything beyond these as we were done.
great value for money and the only down side was that one of us had to drive!

we recently headed here forlunchon a weekend after a hills drive. we weren't particularly hungry so we had the sharing plate and a serve of the grilled haloumi between the two of us. the food was nice, i would have liked some crackers to go with the lovely piece of brie that was served on the shared platter. the haloumi was tasty, you can't really go wrong with grilled cheese! they did have frose which went down very well on the warm sunny day. good choice of local wines and ciders available. the wait staff did forget cutlery for us as well as another table who received their meals only for the waiter to walk off. staff were polite and the location is lovely. go for a nice casuallunchwhen you have some time for a drive.

have been here forluncha couple of times and it is a great spot complete with a lovely view of intense greenery! the space inside is old warm & welcoming and the staff were delightful. the burgers are tasty and pizza (the hahndorf meatlovers one in particular) is delicious. would've liked to try the pear and blue cheese pizza but need to have it with another fan of blue cheese! :) the prices are a wee bit more than average, but the flavours and service make it worth it. the wine list is also good and local too. :)

great lunch. stinking hot day but had reservations to meet some friends forlunchand we chose the inglewood inn. i found the service to be prompt and friendly, and everyone enjoyed their meals. while very dry outside, i can imagine that the views would be a feature in the cooler months and sitting on the balcony on a sunny autumn day in the hills would be nice. it was good to get up to the adelaide hills following the fires and help to put some money back into the business community up there.

not bad for a pub meal. pulled into the inglewood inn forlunchon our way to the barossa valley. being a pub we had some trepidation, but were pleasantly surprised. the staff were polite & efficient. the restaurant was well laid out with a number of tables on the verandah, which looked over rolling hills. we only ordered main courses which were great, but were let down by a not particularly interesting wine list & the macchiato was well below average. i would stop here again.

f for fail!. so disappointed with the management of this restaurant/pub. took my family up for alunchwhich included my 14 month old daughter. owner of the pub made a rude remark about the noises my daughter was making. these were typical infant sounds while sitting in her high chair. not screaming the place down that's for sure! when confronted about the rude remark, the management was even more rude and argumentative. couldn't believe it!
customer service = fail!
you won't be seeing me or my family again.

eading out to a country pub on a sunday is something that i (nathan) find myself doing a lot more recently. it's an opportunity to get out of the city, experience some new food and take in some of adelaide's great scenery. the  inglewood inn  is one that has intrigued me everytime i have driven past as the car park is always full. this is generally a good sign for a country venue. we decided to book a table one sundaylunchand give it a go.

still sitting here in a hypnotic state after eating the inglewood burger. after my taste buds were done convulsing and my brain was done enjoying the opium like reaction to the amazing flavours, i sculled down my crystal beer and achieved pure satisfaction.

damn, i just noticed although this place is in the middle of nowhere it is busy! it's either the outstanding food or the scenic views.

the inglewood burger was second to none in size and flavour. not to mention the delicious chips that accompany it with a rustic tomato relish dipping sauce.

even tho this place is busy, service and time for food to come out does not falter.

surrounded by my loved ones, theirs and my delicious meals, nice atmosphere and great scenic views - inglewood inn has been a fantasticlunchout for my father's birthday.

dissapointment. two weekends ago on a saturday, we booked in forlunchfor the first time., boiling hot in the new renovated part. food was so so, do not have the chicken snitzel, (gravy very lumpy ) and overpriced for a pub meal. we thought we would have gorgeous views, just overgrown with weedy hills. wont be visiting again in a hurry.

overhyped, overpriced, understaffed.. could not be more disappointed with our sundaylunchexperience here.
took a while to be seated in a less than quarter-full restaurant. 3 times we tried to order drinks in one way or another and failed (forgetful staff, unattended bar). the food was barely above fast food quality. their signature burger tasted like nothing but cheap sausage mince. with supermarket tomato sauce as the 'accompanyment'. the mixed seafood platter was edible, but didn't seem fresh and had negligible flavour, likewise not worth the price paid.
the setting is nice, but not amazing just a view of a rural weedy hillside. if you want to brave the cigarette smoke you can sit outside in the chain-smoking section where the view is best.

this is the only time i have eaten out somewhere and insisted we stop somewhere else on the way home to get the taste of their food out of my mouth.
so dodgy!

very disappointing - don't bother!. we booked a table for the set menu on fathers' day and confirmed our booking in the preceding week. there were 5 fathers in our group. when we arrived, someone had deleted our booking, although there was evidence of it with a line through it. we were eventually given a table in the corner of the parlour, not set up forlunchas the other tables were. $40 bought us soup, bread and a choice of three mains. the soup and bread arrived promptly, however we had to wait almost 2 hours for our mains. the chicken was dry, the fish barely cooked and the person who had lamb shanks sent them back twice as they were 'stone cold'. he still reported the potatoes were cold even after the second time his meal was returned. i sent an email to the hotel on the same evening. they have not even bothered to respond.
