best ramen, very authentic.

seating is on two long benches - although it is crowded, it adds to the authentic ramen bar style.

the ramen tastes much more traditional than other restaurants i have tried.

we don't mind what people say, we love hakataya ramen. i think the price is actually quite great for what you get, and most importantly, the soup base for the ramen is deeeeliiiicious. obviously some may argue it is not "as authentic" as other ramen competitors... but for me personally, i am a fan!

appalling service. the staff just looked at us but ignored us for several minutes, even though we were the only customers. eventually we walked out.

been here to dine in for several times before, but due to covid-19, i had to do takeaways. the staff kindly packed the noodles and the soup in separate containers. the staff processed my orders quickly and in safe manners.

ordered the chashu men (menu number 2). the tasty broth was always slightly salty to my preferences but matches well with the plain, bland noodle. the meat given was also perfectly seasoned, thinly sliced, tender and easy to chew.

would love to get another bowl of the ramen in the future.

a simple bowl of noodles in broth may seem like a poor man’s feed; and indeed historically it is.  but one should not underestimate the complexity of drawing textures and flavours from the simplest of ingredients.

ramen anyone?. with only 6 things on the menu, it does all 6 things wonderfully. but be quick as the ramen and soup are made fresh daily and once its run out, its run out and the store closes. the ramen is delicious and if you still have soup in your bowl and no ramen left, they give you another serve of ramen at no extra cost. how wonderful is that?

amazing! the meat flakes in our mouth. always a very long line outside-but worth every minute of waiting! the noodles are hand made and are the best i've tried so far. highly recommend char siu-men (flaky pork noodle soup with extra pork).

yummy ramen. very tasty street food style noodles and broth. i like the option for extra free noodles, have never walked away hungry. will coming here more during winter.

not a fan!. definately do not rate hakataya for ramen. its amazing to see how popular this noodle shop is being so sub par to other ramen places. we ordered the spicy ramen and get literally 3 slices of pork and a little handful of noodle. yes, i understand you can order more noodle free, but that doesnt counteract the overly oily broth and the disappointing combination of flavours. im not going to compare this ramen shop to others in sydney and melbourne, because theyre on a totally different level. but i much prefer ajisen ramen in brisbane cbd over this noodle shop anyday!

for those who don't know real ramen is. i really don't know why people like this place. their ramen doesn't even have anything other soup, noodle and a piece of thin meat. i guess they don't know what the real ramen is like. i heard that there will be another ramen place in sunny park which just across the road from sunnybank plaza and sunnybank square. i'm hoping that the new one will be better than hakataya.

rather popular in brisbane, perhaps my expectations were a bit high. the ramen was okay, decent broth, good noodles. for the price, you'd expect half an egg and better presentation. there's nothing wrong with this place, it's just not for me.

phuong tran and i decide on a ramen lunch just before the lunchtime rush. we order a karaka men and miso spicy men. our steaming bowls are served in 15 minutes. the ramen is al dente and the broths are delicious. thank you guys!

due to the new measures from government, it is enforced to have take away only from all eateries so i have no choice but revisit this raman dan for a quick lunch.
ordered the nagahama ramen and it only took couple of ministries to have the whole bag of noodles and soup to take away.
back to my office and put the ramen on my table. well, noodles started to stick together and took a while to soften it by the soup. texture is no good at all. soup base is rich but i have not had such thin cha siu for a long time that nearly melted in my mouth without any effort of chewing them.
overall, i can say that it is a satisfied lunch but what can i expect on take-away food? right?
