worth the line up. the noodles are probably the best japanese noodles in town. the food comes out quickly and staff are efficient.

cant get enough of their noodles! so so delicious. always a big line up but definitely worth the wait.

we were (*drums please*) lucky enough to get a table. as i have mentioned before hakataya ramen is best known for their tonkotsu ramen thanks to their 'almost-legendary' broth.

long line up outside so ended up getting take away. nagahama ramen was recommmended by the lady and was superb, broth was full of flavour, not too heavy yet satisfying. ramen was fresh, light and you could tell skillfully made. miso spicy-men and gyoza were also excellent. worth the wait and free noodle refill was a nice touch. coming back for sure!

genuine ramen! great flavours. it's exactly the same ramen you get in japan.

not as good as taro's ramen bar in the city but for a cheaper option, it definitely delivers. the soup is just as good but sadly the noodles dont taste freshy made like taros and where was the egg???!!! many customers may enjoy the extra noodle but to be honest they give you less to begin with. overall, if i was in the southside and wanted ramen, this is the best place to go. if i want a true japanese ramen and happyto pay a bit more, i'd go to taros

i love this place! the noodles are always at the right texture, never over or undercooked and the soup is just divine. if you love ramen, this is your place!

there appears to be no end to my adventure in japanese cuisine. continuing on with japanese food and me, we have got hakataya ramen today. with hakataya, the events leading to this lunch was very much an adventure of its own. we wanted to try this place but twice we were put off by the long queue and decided to eat elsewhere. on the third attempt, we decided we will pop by on a friday early night only to find out it was sold out! finally in our fourth attempt, we braved through the queue and was finally rewarded a bowl of ramen. despite the long queue, their system is simple but very logical. you queue up and you will be served once there are empty seats available. you put your order, pay up and wait patiently for a mere 5 minutes before you are rewarded. for aud 13, you get a bowl of ramen with the richest pork stock one can get with melt in your mouth pork belly (char siew). according to the flyer, the stock is cooked over 39 hours, meaning somewhere somehow, a container of stock is

slurpppp your noodles upppp!. this is a winner for sure, if you're not sure what you want to eat on a late saturday lunch or when you drop by sunnybank plaza for a stroll and some shopping.

food: tasty as can be. for those who don't take msg to well you might want to skip this one. the soup is authentic, flavoursome plus you get additional noodles for free upon request. this is a winner for those who have bottomless stomachs. for variety. you can have more meat or less; or spicy or non spicy. plus some sides!

table space can be a problem tho. small dining area can mean a bit of a wait when they go through their busy periods.

great noodles, average service, long wait (very busy) even on a weekday at 2pm!

hakataya noodle shop offers no more than six menu options and is located in the row of shops opposite landmark. the set up is mostly designed for take away but the few available tables are neat and clean. the image above is my brother's miso spicy men with extra char siu pork. i recommend adding extra noodles for $1.80 and extra char siu as the pork has been slow cooked to melt in your mouth.

woo!. this ramen is a full couple of steps above the other ramen i've had in brisbane. do yourself a favour and get out there.

great ramen. my husband loves it and has been trying to convince me for ages to try so recently did and now addicted. service fast and food fresh - worth the line-up wait.

highly addictive!. best tonkotsu ramen in brisbane. the soup is full of flavour and beautiful! a little oily though, always ask for no extra oil...long queue for ordering but turnover is fast!
