i was told very good things about this restaurant but i was highly dissatisfied with my experience. the food and staff were very average.

free noodles on your birthday. what is there not to love about that! come here, then go get your free boost afterwards to wash it down. in recent years they have been writing down your license details to prevent exploitation i guess.

when dining here any other day, it’s pretty good. like the free noodle refill you can get, and service is pretty quick. however due to the fast turn around, often many of the seats need to be cleared which is a bit delayed, or the limited seating is full. they definitely could use more seating room compared to the emptier restaurants to either side

delicious belly pork but what a broth!!

utterly delicious, i'll bring a bowl of it home next time, on its own.

service was just about the worst i've ever experienced. never expected to wait 20 minutes to get my noodles and another 40 when i asked for extra noodles. now i know what you're thinking, "they must have been busy" well there were 2 people .....2 waiting on food. what a shamazol !! ok i wrote this 20 mins ago. still waiting . it has now turned from a shamazol into just a straight up fuck fest.

best ramen in brisbane. i eat ramen at least once a weak and hakataya my favourite place to go. i always leave full, and sides are just best. and free noodle? amazing!

haven’t been to hakataya for ages, since i’m getting a free ramen today i might as well go have a free lunch. the broth tasted different from before, taste a bit watered down, and i had to ask for takana, i thought you notify them you don’t want takana, instead of the other way around. and the most disappointing dish was the gyoza, it’s either burnt on one side and the other side is not cooked, and it looked like they just pile them randomly on a plate, instead of plate them nicely. i probably can fry better gyoza at home...

this is a frequent eatery we always go to, always polite and good food. but today probably will be our last -the sunnybank one on the mains rd one has turned arrogant and rude. the person taking the order was cold, rude . i get it u want me to order and go and i had done exactly that . the blunt rude service is a real turn off . plenty of other restaurants in sunnybank .

i have ordered a spicy miso noodle, a no.1 noodle and a gyoza. just one staff at the counter and its not bussy, but my friend and me wait for a long time to order, the staff still working slowly with poker face.

today we went to try some ramen as we were in sunnybank again 3rd time this week. it was only half full bit decided to sit outside. simple menu so ordered the no.1 and 2 as wife only wanted a small bowl and extra noodles for me.

there were only 2 people on, well we could only see 1. service was very slow. i went to get a drink for the little one and food hadnt come out when i returned. maybe 10 minutes.

once the food did come out, there was plenty of meat and i shared half of mine with the little one and waited for extra noodles. the broth for some reason tasted very salty. after waiting and waiting decided to finish the rest of my meal. maybe it was a language barrier.

my friend and i came here a few times before and after we went to japan to get a taste for a good ramen. 
we have returned many times since.

i love ramen and this place is truly amazing. at other restaurants the ramen looks amazing but doesn't taste that great, but this place has everything right - visual appeal, amazing flavours that keep changing as you eat, great price and authentic - you know it's good coz it's the only place there that's fully packed, but def worth the wait. this is my new go to spot from now on! we tried no2 and no4.

below average ramen. but it does get very busy. that's brisbane diners for you. clueless about food. in japan this place would be considered an insult to ramen chefs. should change the recipe of their broth and make it more authentic.

was my to-do list, after seeing how popular this place is. very authentic feel to this place. won me over with their spicy condiments and complimentary extra noodle to add to the bowl.

my partner and i just got back from japan and have had serious ramen withdraws😊 we found this place in sunnybank and it didn't disappoint👌🏽 the food was so tasty and out to us fast, plus they offer extra noodles for free.👏🏾(we didn't get photos because we where to keen to try it)😊

food quality: very good
price: average but you can get extra noodle for free
service: i believes it always good whenever i went there. friendly staff and feel welcome
facility: look good after they refurbishment their store.
