overpriced. we came here several years ago buying shrimp at this place and now it's overpriced and looks like a low budget dive. i would go elsewhere at these prices.

great food. one of those off the main road treasures. bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp is amazing. will definitely come back.

it seems to me the prices have gone up in the past few years since i first visited dewey destin's, but my wife and i keep coming back. the food is tasty and the setting on the dock jutting out into the bay can't be beat. since it's off the beaten track (i.e., highway 98) it seems to attract more locals than tourists. it's a small place, so it can fill up fast. but, it's a favorite place to grab fresh local seafood.

one of best places ever!. had the boiled shrimp with corn and potatoes. it was sooooo good. dolphins beside seadoos in the bay were great entertainment while eating. i love the old shack atmosphere right on the water. locals said there was none like it and i believe them. the people sitting next to us had fried fish and they were raving also.

must try the jack scallops!. stopped here on vacation. we got 2 appetizers, the fried crab claws and the jack scallops.both were really good but the jack scallops really stood out. these are a must order if you enjoy scallops.they are cooked in a white wine, butter and garlic sauce then topped with monterrey jack cheese and broiled. we got the lunch specials which run on weekends as well. i had the grilled shrimp skewer which was very good. the shrimp were well seasoned and the remaining sauce went well with the potatoes. my guests had the fried shrimp and the popcorn shrimp which were good as well.

not worth it. was not impressed. the ambience was eh - just ok. polite service i must admit but the food was nothing special. i ordered the seared scallops with the spicy option. the scallops were perfectly seared - just enough but not too chewy or hard. but along with the dish were three new potatoes just thrown on the plate with half a corn on the cob. no thought or creativity put into the dish or the presentation. for $18 for an entree, i expect much more. there are plenty of other seafood restaurants in destin that put more effort into the presentation and experience than dewey destins does.

definately a hole in the wall but they had some of the best grilled shrimp and hushpuppies i have ever had! can't wait to go back!!

we did this the past two years while on vac in destin i just ok to me but i don't like seafood i got grilled chicken it was good/ok but the other 4 ppl that like sea good not the best but good

we just had the best lunch at dewey's. our family sat out on the deck overlooking the harbor and ate some delicious, fresh seafood while watching the boats come and go. this isn't a fancy place so don't come expecting high dining, but it is casual, tasty and has great views. fresh fish right off the boat? doesn't get better than this and it was a great last stop before heading home from vacation. also, the service was great and prompt. we will definitely stop here if ever in destin again.

love dewey's.. we have been to the original dewey's many times and it never fails to deliver. when you go to this location you could be put off by the appearance of the place but don't turn around. great food!! we have been to the newest location once and the food and service were good there as well. love the original one for the" picnic feel" and the sunsets.

so far so bad. 2 hour wait for a party of 4. we ordered the crab dip app while waiting in the courtyard area. had to flag down the server, just to clean the table and order. the table next to us ordered twice before we received our app. still waiting to be set. but from our experience so far i will not be returning.
