thisplaceneeds some updates, not talking about the place, it's interesting with collections of everything. the food was kind of s&s cafeteria like. stuck in the past. that's fine for the decor but what was a special menu 30 years ago not so much today. the potato soup was delicious and creamy but you better like celery. the fruit is not fresh. the "glaze" is pie filling, so of course the seven-year-old loved it. the chicken salad was very plain nothing special about it. the chips were just plain wavy potato chips out of the bag. the complimentary bran muffin that was brought in the beginning was a really nice touch but i expected something apple since its in the name.

worst experience i've had. .the food was ok. .but they do not like for you to bring babies. ..never offered a high chair. ..told us we couldn'tplacethe car seat on a chair and pull it close enough to feed the baby. because it's so small and it would interfere with the next table. my daughter really wanted us to have a nice lunch today before our shopping trip. ..the baby was so good never made a sound while we were there. ..we feed thebaby stretching acoss the table and my daughter lost her appetite and didn't even eat. .our bill was almost 30 bucks for a scoop of tuna and chips. ....i would not recommended thisplaceto anyone with kids. it ruined our day out.

apple cake tea room sounded like my kindaplacewhen i read the reviews and saw a few pictures...and i wasn't disappointed. we took dave's little sister with us for an afternoon of shopping and ended up here. it's this adorable restaurant inside a log cabin looking building, decorated like an adorable antique shop with quilts on the walls and dim lighting...

not going, ever!. i searched this restaurant after hearing the name and thinking it sounded like a niceplaceto go for lunch. after reading about the lack of common courtesy and consideration on the part of this owner and her employees, i will not be going after all. i am honestly appalled to read that a business owner is so unappreciative of customers to go to the extent of charging parents for their children just to be in her restaurant even if they do not order food because they might make a mess and to show no concern for a customer who has fallen. there are plenty of other good restaurants in town, we will not be going to this one.

small portions for too much. took a friend there for her birthday. i had been before one time and thought i would try again. it's a quaintplaceand i like the atmosphere although at busy times it gets a bit noisy. mostly women. haha. we both ordered the chicken salad with the banana bread, fruit and chips. the chicken salad is a small ice cream scoop portion on a piece of the lettuce. the banana bread are two tiny mice sized pieces. the chips are a handful which i felt did'nt compliment the meal. the fruit was a decent bowl size and delicious. the chicken salad is good but i've had better. it is pulverized chicken with no grapes, or celery in it. nothing identifiable in it but chicken. and a tiny sprinkle of pecan chips on top. the price was $8.75. the friendship tea they serve cold or hot. i got cold. it was served in a skinny glass and seemed to need more sweetener. it was $2.50 with free refills. the service was friendly. parking was at a premium at peak noon time. the pineapple and chicken salad with grapes looked like a better option as i saw as they passed by with them for other customers.

uncaring staff. in february several ladies that i work with and i met there for lunch. there was still snow in the parking lot and an elderly lady had fallen as she was coming in to eat. thankfully one of the ladies i work with was able to help her up and come in with her. upon telling the hostess that the elderly lady had fallen in the parking lot the hostess quickly told us that "that isn't our fault..it's up to the property owner to clear the snow"....not a i'm so sorry that happened, how are you, nothing!! made me think this was a snootyplaceto eat and i won't be back!!
