apple cake tea room

today the meal was great but i ordered some to take home for breakfast and i looked at it and noticed it was not like what they serve with your meal. the bananabreadthey serve is real dense and moist (does not crumble). what they substitute is a lighter bananabreadlike the one i bake at home. i am so disappointed in this restaurant, it really changed my feelings about going there. it was like they tried to pull something over on you. my daughter is suppose to come down in the morning and enjoy it with me but i have to call her now and tell her not to drive here it’s not worth it.

the food is good. the chicken salad is good. i love the bananabreadis awesome! i like going there by myself and take a book. the staff however is a different story. i don't find them to be friendly at all.

chicken salad, fruit, bananabreadand chips. everything was very spot on. great ambiance.

i found great place to eat. i found the tea room by accident but totally fell in love with look of place and the food and staff were pure bliss. great place to just relax and enjoy food. must try at least once will be return customer for life.

small portions for too much. took a friend there for her birthday. i had been before one time and thought i would try again. it's a quaint place and i like the atmosphere although at busy times it gets a bit noisy. mostly women. haha. we both ordered the chicken salad with the banana bread, fruit and chips. the chicken salad is a small ice cream scoop portion on a piece of the lettuce. the bananabreadare two tiny mice sized pieces. the chips are a handful which i felt did'nt compliment the meal. the fruit was a decent bowl size and delicious. the chicken salad is good but i've had better. it is pulverized chicken with no grapes, or celery in it. nothing identifiable in it but chicken. and a tiny sprinkle of pecan chips on top. the price was $8.75. the friendship tea they serve cold or hot. i got cold. it was served in a skinny glass and seemed to need more sweetener. it was $2.50 with free refills. the service was friendly. parking was at a premium at peak noon time. the pineapple and chicken salad with grapes looked like a better option as i saw as they passed by with them for other customers.

love that spiced tea! bad service, though. i recently visited the tea room, which is a rare treat since i work and don't get to go unless i have a day off. i had the chicken salad croissant and bananabreadand of course the spiced tea. i go just for the tea it's so good. the food was delicious, but i feel it is overpriced. the worst part of my visit was the waitress. she was so unfriendly i felt uncomfortable my whole visit. never once even smiled and the service was terrible. it made me mad since i can almost never go, i'd like to be able to fully enjoy it when i can. still i love the log cabin and the tea and will go again someday. i just wish they would expand their hours to be more accommodating to those of us who work and can't get there during lunch hours.

i am very picky, the ck salad is great! the banannabreadis really good also. i have always just had carry out, so not sure on the service while eating there. carry out is good though

love this charming restaurant!!. my sisters and i, and many of my friends, have enjoyed this quaint and delicious eatery for years! every time my younger sister comes to town, it's a must-have and makes top priority on our list of things to do! the food, as always, is incredible! chicken salad on a croissant with a side of the banana nutbreadwith cream cheese is our fav. and of course, the friendship tea~it really sums up what the apple cake tea room is all about! we are always greeted with a warm welcome and the and service is excellent. we have made many precious memories here with friends and family over the years~celebrating birthdays, graduations & friendships. now that we have kids of our own, we enjoy bringing them to our favorite tea room and making new memories over tea and lunch!

excellent. the best chicken salad in the world. and the bananabreadis great. definitely recommend you give it a try. yes, guys eat there too.
