apple cake tea room

very disappointed..my mother sister niece and i havemadeapple cake tea room a lunch stop destination every mothers day and birthday for almost 15 years now but recently (and it could be the economy or a bad day), the food was quite bland, lacking the usual high quality freshness we came to love.the servings were meager and overall stale.still, we hope it was just a bad day so we can return and enjoy the b&b country charm we knew it to be from previous visits.

worst experience i've had. .the food was ok. .but they do not like for you to bring babies. ..never offered a high chair. ..told us we couldn't place the car seat on a chair and pull it close enough to feed the baby. because it's so small and it would interfere with the next table. my daughter really wanted us to have a nice lunch today before our shopping trip. ..the baby was so good nevermadea sound while we were there. ..we feed thebaby stretching acoss the table and my daughter lost her appetite and didn't even eat. .our bill was almost 30 bucks for a scoop of tuna and chips. ....i would not recommended this place to anyone with kids. it ruined our day out.

no soup for you? here, that's a good thing!. i ordered the french onion soup as my meal and it was just short of swill. a tasteless brown broth with a few limp onions floating around maybe three croutons. there usually present cheese, at least in every other french onion soup that i have ever had in the many other states to which i have travelled, was absent. my table mates, most of whom are more accustomed to dining than i, were equally as disappointed.

to make matters worse, as i checked out, the short, blonde women who was assisting the cashiermadea rude comment quite loudly about my leaving the coinage to add to the already prearranged 20% tip that was set as we were greater than a party of 8. granted, it wasn't a great amount, however, anything over 20% is extra and comments, rude or otherwise,madeby staff should be kept to oneself and, most certainly notmadein front of customers.

i will not return. i found the menu pricey, the soup inedible, and the service (at least the lasting memory), distasteful.

apple cake. i love their apple cake. i havemadeapple cake but the cake they serve you can't find any apples. i don't understand that. it is great. maybe some of you real good cooks can explain that to me. :-)

love that spiced tea! bad service, though. i recently visited the tea room, which is a rare treat since i work and don't get to go unless i have a day off. i had the chicken salad croissant and banana bread and of course the spiced tea. i go just for the tea it's so good. the food was delicious, but i feel it is overpriced. the worst part of my visit was the waitress. she was so unfriendly i felt uncomfortable my whole visit. never once even smiled and the service was terrible. itmademe mad since i can almost never go, i'd like to be able to fully enjoy it when i can. still i love the log cabin and the tea and will go again someday. i just wish they would expand their hours to be more accommodating to those of us who work and can't get there during lunch hours.

love this charming restaurant!!. my sisters and i, and many of my friends, have enjoyed this quaint and delicious eatery for years! every time my younger sister comes to town, it's a must-have and makes top priority on our list of things to do! the food, as always, is incredible! chicken salad on a croissant with a side of the banana nut bread with cream cheese is our fav. and of course, the friendship tea~it really sums up what the apple cake tea room is all about! we are always greeted with a warm welcome and the and service is excellent. we havemademany precious memories here with friends and family over the years~celebrating birthdays, graduations & friendships. now that we have kids of our own, we enjoy bringing them to our favorite tea room and making new memories over tea and lunch!

uncaring staff. in february several ladies that i work with and i met there for lunch. there was still snow in the parking lot and an elderly lady had fallen as she was coming in to eat. thankfully one of the ladies i work with was able to help her up and come in with her. upon telling the hostess that the elderly lady had fallen in the parking lot the hostess quickly told us that "that isn't our fault..it's up to the property owner to clear the snow"....not a i'm so sorry that happened, how are you, nothing!!mademe think this was a snooty place to eat and i won't be back!!
