only 3-star. on our first visit to the eatery, i had the sock-eye salmon with
quinoa. salmon came out with a slightly strong smell. favor was okay - i've had better. quinoa with dried fruit and nuts was tasty - it was chilled. heirloom tomatoes were beautiful, but tasteless. requested some olive oil to drizzle over, but the oil that came out was definitely not evoo - absolutely tasteless. definitely not impressed with the paddle appetizer. overall, only a 3 star experience. disappointed.servicewas good, although slow to start out.

we had walked by numerous time always noticing a good crowd this time we stopped in and were seated immediately . the menu is impressive while not overdone. the offering unique yet familiar. the presentation was exquisite the taste simply put amazing. theservicedidn't disappoint either. truly a must go. we stopped in on a whim and it set the tone for a wonderful evening.

castle decor with good food. trufire has great curb appeal. the heavy oak wood door with banded steel starts the decor. inside there are heavy rustic wood tables. the stained cement floor is plain. the archways have stone accents that give the restaurant a castle feel. it's very pleasant. they do keep it dark in there, and the cement floor does increase the sound volume.

i think theserviceis better than the food. the two hosts will open the door for your. they smile bright and say welcome. they are so polite and nice. then a very happy smiling servers appears. she is upbeat and knows her menu. she's very attentive.

the food is good not great. we tried trumac, napa chicken, pan seared sockeye (salmon), texas pecan & fig salad, spicy chicken noodles, blue lemon, philly brouchette, and two side salads. everything was good. i enjoyed my meal. i think i would rank theservicefirst, decor second, and food third, but all of it good.

amazing food & service!!!. this is one of the best restaurants in frisco, texas. remember to make a reservation as they are very busy, especially on saturday nights. i made a reservation for four at 6:30 pm on this saturday night. they were already crowded when we arrived, but we did not have to wait. my daughter split a large panzerella and a steak with vegetables. i ordered the large avocado salad that had feta cheese, tomatoes and was accompanied by pita bread. we also had hummus with vegetables and pita bread for an appetizer. my husband ordered the burger with garlic fries. everything was delicious and ourservicewas superb. i can't wait to go back and try their pizza. they have a very nice patio, but on this night it was too cold. i will definitely go back for a return visit.

i received poorservicefrom the hostess and manager.. i called in advance for a 7p reservation on saturday night, i was told that was not an option but they had a 7:30p we received. i accepted. we all arrive about 5 minutes to 7:30p. the 1st issue was the hostess did not speak or acknowledge us as we walked in she spoke to the couple that walked in right after us and seated them immediately. as i stood at the hostess counter it was another couple minutes as another hostess who was holder the door letting all customers in greets me and states it will be a couple minutes before we will be seated. after about 6 minutes we are told the table is being cleaned off. after about 15 we are told the table is not ready and she needs to speak to the manager on how to handle our reservation. she returns and states we are trying to find you a seat or will ask the current seated people to move. from the bar we can see there is a table that will sit 8 that will accommodate our party of 5 but it was not offered to us, but i'll come back to that later. it not 17 minutes after our reservation and i refuse to leave, we will be served. i start wondering if they are treating us like this because we are the only blacks in the building being serviced. but i don’t play the race card, i keep it professional. the hostess and the manager tell me they called me to change my reservation but i didn’t have a missed call or voice mail. the manager tells me i must have given them the wrong number or it was taken down properly. well i don't get why you would call and tell someone you are moving them to an early reservation seems kind of weird to me but i shall move on. the finally sit us 20 minutes after our reservation and it’s at a round table for 4 and we are a group of 5 the table is set for 4 and she has to go find us a 5th chair so we all can be seated. then manager offers us an appetizer for the confusion. oh i remember that table of 8 a group of 6 came in after us and we seated at the table 5 minutes after they squeezed us in the table of 4, as arsenio hall would say “things that make you go hmmm”. the entire time i feel like the manager is watching the table and of course she came at the end to let me know she confirmed her hostesses called me and told me to come earlier and i was mistaken. so i am not sure if this night was a series of unfortunate events or it was about the color of our skin, but the waiter was excellent and everyone enjoyed the food.
i hope mgmt takes time to read this message and makes necessary adjustments so no one else has the experience i received.

absolutely fabulous! the crab dip was awesome! we had fabulousserviceand they even brought us free dessert because we mentioned it was our first time to eat there. we will definitely return!!!

long wait so arrive early or try week nights. interesting menu. apps were great and small portions left room for the meal. poorserviceand misinformation given on food content caused major allergy/medical issue. waiter assured us no vitamin k. we even asked twice about specific ingridents and were assured it was a non issue. dish arrived and a few bites in i discovered the problem. waiter did not appologize or offer to remake or reorder. i watched others eat and took medicine to avoid a serious interaction. servers it is okay to say you don't know or we can't modify an item. i could have selected something else. i won't be coming back.

atmosphere, food &servicewas great. try the mussels! the barservicewas inconsistant.
