only 3-star. on our first visit to the eatery, i had the sock-eye salmon with
quinoa. salmon came out with a slightly strong smell. favor was okay - i've had better. quinoa with dried fruit and nuts was tasty - it was chilled. heirloom tomatoes were beautiful, but tasteless. requested some olive oil to drizzle over, but the oil that came out was definitely not evoo - absolutely tasteless. definitely not impressed with the paddle appetizer. overall, only a 3 star experience. disappointed. service was good, although slow to start out.

our first time here was very impressive! we each got a cocktail suggested by our server, the gin's up and the strawberry smash. they were both delicious! we also shared a pizza (it was big enough to split), the latin fire pizza was amazing! overall, great food and service! a little pricey, but definately worth it!

unimpressed with the trumac dish. i had high hopes for the trumac, the restaurant's signature adult mac and cheese.
the sauce is more cheese than cream and butternut which combined with the vat of melted cheese on top tastes more like noodles and melted cheese than a flavorful sauce.
service was okay, not bad but not the-above-average-service competing restaurants offer.
they do have a signature dish avocado salad (chopped avocado chunks with tomato and pita bread) which my sister likes.
ambiance is dark wood and darkly lit, but does have patio seating.

we had high hopes for trufire, yet were not impressed. atmosphere was great. the wait staff was great, yet the food was too spicy and overall simple and mediocre. the menu selection was limited yet with a little of everything.

we ordered two pasta plates (seafood and meatball) and the spiciness dominated all other flavors to the point we couldn't finish the plates.

the cocktail drinks were very small (whisky pear and whisky apricot) and packed full of ice and in a few sips they were gone. for $12+ for a cocktail, i definitely feel that it was very little drink and flavor for the money.

i doubt we'll be going back to trufire. there are too many better options in the area.

naked avocado salad is a must! we always order it as an appetizer for the table with pita bread. the bolognese is delicious and the diablo pizza as well!

here's another example of a restaurant that is not exactly geared for kids, but you can still make it work. they do have a kid's menu; you just have to ask for it.  then, the server will tell you what you can eat - things like pizza and pasta and mac and cheese. i suggest you order a side of meatballs if you order the kid's pasta. your kid might be hungry otherwise.

we had walked by numerous time always noticing a good crowd this time we stopped in and were seated immediately . the menu is impressive while not overdone. the offering unique yet familiar. the presentation was exquisite the taste simply put amazing. the service didn't disappoint either. truly a must go. we stopped in on a whim and it set the tone for a wonderful evening.

tucked away at the corner of lebanon and the tollway, this is a great restaurant with a decent selection of wine. try the pizza but get pepperoni and meatball. i'm a sucker for their grilled flatbreads. my wife would tell you get the ahi tuna salad.
good atmosphere. give it a run.

castle decor with good food. trufire has great curb appeal. the heavy oak wood door with banded steel starts the decor. inside there are heavy rustic wood tables. the stained cement floor is plain. the archways have stone accents that give the restaurant a castle feel. it's very pleasant. they do keep it dark in there, and the cement floor does increase the sound volume.

i think the service is better than the food. the two hosts will open the door for your. they smile bright and say welcome. they are so polite and nice. then a very happy smiling servers appears. she is upbeat and knows her menu. she's very attentive.

the food is good not great. we tried trumac, napa chicken, pan seared sockeye (salmon), texas pecan & fig salad, spicy chicken noodles, blue lemon, philly brouchette, and two side salads. everything was good. i enjoyed my meal. i think i would rank the service first, decor second, and food third, but all of it good.
