i was here in the morning, and felt very relaxed, enveloped by the hazy sky and soft pillows. they put a lot of thought into the ambiance and decor of this place, down to the edible green plants growing in flower boxes on either side of the stairs. i almost felt like i was out breakfasting in the country. the service was very slow though, and disjointed. as an example: the large american sunday breakfast for two came out, and then about 20 minutes later the nutella pancakes with fresh fruit arrived, and then 15 minutes after that, an order of scrambled eggs and sausage. the food was all nicely plated however, with the nutella pancakes being the standout dish, complete with a tiny bottle of milk in a glass jar, on the tray… beautiful, tasty, and completely adorable. upon request, they included real maple syrup from canada, which was delicious. theirpancakerecipe is truly amazing here. they were very fluffy, yet quite substantial and flavorful. the most impressive pancakes in istanbul, so far. the eggs that came with the american sunday were perfectly cooked, the sausage was a factory produced, flavorless cylinder, and the potatoes were tasty, but had a slight sour taste of an origin i couldn't discern. the mildly sharp cheddar cheese was outstanding.
since they advertise themselves as a place for coffee, as well as crepes, i ordered a double espresso, and imagining the worse, was pleasantly surprised by the copious amount of crema on top, and the flavor, which was excellent.
