ted's montana grill

great fresh salads. we were spending the night in tallahassee on our way to tampa and decided to have a light dinner at ted's. i had never eaten on this restaurant and was very pleased with the quality of the dinner salads we ordered (ted's chopped and the house) and the cups of chili we had with the salads was delicious. definitely worth stopping in.

1 meal fed 2. i like my steak still mooing. my friend - medium. we're average eaters. asked ( really kidding ) if we could share a large steak dinner with our likes being met. "absolutely" the steak was perfectly prepared for both of us....added a martini and i was happy, happy! will be back!!

after seeing the popularity in tallahassee we were looking forward to our visit to teds while coming through town. the waiter was excited to tell is the bison shirt ribs were on the menu today even though it was not saturday. my wife's burger was perfectly cooked. as i tasted my mashed potato and green beans they were cold. sent back to return again not much warmer. 3 rd time was much better. by the time my meal was served my wife was finished. the waiter and manager both apologized and comped supper. however i feel like our visit could have been much better if the food was hot! don't know if i'll give them a second chance next time through town.

chop salad. even if you aren't a vegetarian, the chop salad is great. ingredients include lettuce, corn, garbanzo beans, red onion, tomato, green pepper, and more. if you're vegetarian, ask them to leave out the salami.

eat at ted's!!. this is a great restaurant. food, service, atmosphere...all top notch.

enjoyed the fresh food!. we had lunch at ted's last saturday and both ordered bison burgers. from the fresh pickles brought while we waited through the fresh french fries, onion rings, and burgers, it was a real treat. the burgers are probably an inch or more thick, cooked exactly as we'd asked, and delicious. the potatoes used for fries and onions used for rings were not previously frozen, so the textures and flavors were outstanding. we expect to cook at home for that kind of freshness, so ted's was a pleasant surprise. we will definitely eat at there again.

blah. bison is supposed to be a lean meat, but mine was very greasy. the fries are terrible, taste like cardboard. my date's ciabatta bread was stale. if a restaurant without the brand name served food this mediocre, they would not survive.

a great burger and rings. teds is a great addition to a city the size of tallahassee. the burgers and onion rings are some of the best i ever ate. this place gets busy and sometimes folks need to keep that in mind and come out on a week night if you are in a big hurry. prices are right in line if you don't go crazy.

they serve coca cola in a glass bottle and those pickles are sooo good. built like an old time building with great ambiance. you really feel like your in a destination.

bartender said we just missed seeing ted there once and his son comes in often. he does things right, his name is on the door.

the onion rings were great, my kitchen sink bison burger was great, but my wife's pecan crusted trout needed a lot of work. i would come back for the burgers.

great bison burgers!. about six years ago, i had bison burger sliders at a tapas restaurant in orlando. they were atrocious and gamey. however, when visiting friends suggested trying ted's for dinner last weekend, i decided to give bison another chance, and i'm so glad i did. i ordered the new meixco bison burger, and it was huge, moist, delicious, and well worth the price ($14) for an occasional night out. you also can choose any side you want with your burger. as another reviewer commented, i also enjoy rare/medium rare meat, and it was a nice change from the required minimum medium or medium well temperature at many chain restaurants. i also tried my friend's chili, and it's very good. in fact, i'd say it's some of the best chili i've had at a restaurant. we also ordered onion rings, which were good, but i agree with the reviewer who said they were on the salty side. all in all, it was a fun night out with really good food, and for three people's meals, beverages (two drank tea; i had one glass of wine), and an appetizer, the bill was just under $60. not too bad for a fun friday night out. i would definitely recommend ted's to any carnivorous friends. i also would recommend calling ahead when you're on your way to the restaurant - that's what we did (for a 20 minute drive), and we only waited for 8 minutes once we arrived on a very busy friday night.

awesome bison nachos and bacon cheese bison burger. will be back!

food and atmosphere were excellent. however, it's not the place to go when you are in a hurry.

yesterday we had one of their newer items, bison nachos, and they were fantastic. usually nachos are cheap fare with dried, crumbling ground beef that takes away from the flavor, but these had smooth and tender bison chili, fresh jalepenos (none of that jar stuff) and cheese that was far from the electric orange squeeze bottle stuff served on most nachos. you have to try them.

our thanksgiving dinner was delicious. i opted for salmon, and it was cooked to perfection, minimally so it was flaky and juicy.

yum!. we go there for the burgers. a little on the steep side buy always good
