ted's montana grill

my burger was a monster that took up half of the plate. the other side was occupied by a pile of perfectly golden fries. i was unsure if the combination of bacon, egg, jalapeños, blackberry jam, and cheese would work, but this was quickly erased by the first bite.

good place!. found this using the urbanspoon slot machine thingie looking for a good place for some steaks. decided to give this a try as they serve bison, and i like bison. was not disappointed whatsoever. the place was quiet (it was a rainy tuesday) and slow, just as i like it. service was attentive but not bothersome, as it sometimes can be when slow.

had the bison strip cooked meduim-well and the steak came out the perfect tempurature, nicely seared and juicy in the center. the sides were just fine, as you expect at a steakhouse of this type, and thankfully, they were included with the dinner, not a la carte.

lots of great looking bisony stuff on the menu that i will have to try on future visits. i will be back.

great food!. two words: bison meatloaf. it will knock your socks off, especially if you like sweeter barbeque sauces. and i don't know what they cook their fries in, but it is heavenly. my husband enjoyed the bison burger...we thought it was a great dinner at not a bad price!

the best prime rib i've had. salmon was very very good too

pretty good. at least for tallahassee. not even close compared to quality restaurants, overall impressed but not the best. would still go back though. just wished they would learn the different between rare and medium.

bad service; good food. we have had many good experiences at tmg but tonight was the exception. we were seated promptly and then things went down hill. first our server (ben) failed to bring the "signature ice box pickles" - when we asked he stated that he had forgotten but that he would bring them right back - he never brought them. we ordered our appetizer which ben delivered to the table promptly - that was the last time he came to our table until after we had finished our meal. he was at the next table talking about the 'glycemic index and other prattle' for over 15 minutes. at one point he kind of peeked around but did not ask if we needed anything. i got tired of waiting and went to the bar to ask for an iced tea - ben either didn't see or didn't care. our food was delivered by runners and plates cleared buy the same but, they did not ask if we needed anything. there was a man in a blue shirt (the manager???) but i never saw him go to any tables. when ben finally decided to grace us with his presence we told him the service was extremely poor and to just bring our check. (my husband had wanted another drink and we were considering dessert but decided just to pay and leave). i cannot remember ever not leaving a tip but, this service was so poor we did not. oh, he did bring the pickles "to go" but it was a day late and a dollar short in my opinion.

a sure thing. ted's is a "chain" in the sense that there are multiple restaurants but the food is far beyond "chain" quality. it is all freshly made and you can certainly tell. the bison burgers and meatloaf are awesome. the salmon is amazing. even the little pickles that they put on the table are great. ted's is one of the few places in town that i can go to and be certain that i'm going to have a good meal. it's not cheap but the atmosphere is still casual. the servers are some of the best in town. i don't mind paying a little extra for the quality food. love this place.

service was great. wait staff was very pleasant.

food was really really good. i was not disappointed in anything. it was a bit more expensive than an applebees type restraunt, but worth it.

my dining partener commented that it was the best sweet tea he ever had. the fries were amazing. i had never had bison before but it was excellent.

but i am not sold on the paper straws.

nice place. i had a feeling that ted's might be a bit upscale for the way i was dressed, but it was right off the interstate, and given limited nearby choices seemed compelled to try.

the space seemed as formal as an old ny or hollywood steakhouse, but none of the other diners were dressed to the nines. i had never seen a chain with such a nice buildout, but loved the atmosphere.

i don't know if there are enough locations to technically be a chain, but for all intensive purposes it is chain fare. chain fare that is done done well. i can't swear that the caesar dressing was homemade, but it had a taste of fresh lemon that just can't come from a bottle. the burger was actually cooked mid rare to temp, and cheese was melted. the burger is not an all time favorite, but this place is hands and feet above other chains.

the food was awful! i ordered my hamburger medium well and it was medium raw. also, the bison burger was very gamey... good thing is the manager did not charge us for the raw burger.

ate there for the first time today. had the blue creek burger. it was good, but a little overpriced.

actually not too expensive if you get beef. this is a 4-5 times a year stapple for me living so close to the forum. solid food, good service, comfortable dinning atmosphere, and doesn't break the bank for a friday night meal.

bison! bison! bison! awesome bison pot roast! definitely worth a trip to have! the wait staff was very knowledgeable of the foods and were overly accomodating to serve! thumbs up x 10!!

very good service. our wait staff was excellent but the food was not stellar. we ordered the bison nachos. very bland and stale chips. the short ribs were on the small side. the sides were good. had the onion rings and asparagus.
