great beer, decent food and good service. we had a great night out at st augustine's last night. we came because we'd heard the beermenuwas good and were thoroughly impressed with the range. if you find 40 beers a little bewildering ask your server to pick a good selection.

contrary to a couple of reviews here we found the staff to be really good. the woman who served us (tall with glasses) was great, really helpful with some of our beer noobs and friendly through-out. i definitely didn't begrudge giving her a decent tip.

the food was nice; my wife had the pulled pork sandwich and looked very happy while scoffing it.

the food here is a little better than standard pub fair but their drinksmenuis vast. this is one of my favourite places to go to try craft beer and have a casual bite. this place, alibi room and craft beer market come to mind as some of my faves of these types of places.

super friendly staff. casual service but very attentive. we enjoyed lunch and we're pleased to see they offer lots of gf options. we sat ourselves and we're offered a high chair for our kiddo. the food was all really good. themenuhad a good variety of pub style food. would definitely go back!

bad waitress. i’m a beer drinker and usually like this place, but after last night i won’t be going back. my girlfriend and i go and it’s too busy to get a table. i live close so we stand at the bar and get take out. there is a single seat so i sit down as i’m looking at themenuand we order. since there is only one seat available, and for some reason, we can only order one drink because ‘that’s the law’. i order food and while we wait i order a beer. the waitress proceeds to make fun of me and encourage my girlfriend that i’m a jerk for not buying her a drink instead, while we wait for ten minutes. i’m a beer guy and don’t get to go to this place often. i guess blowing $65 on take out isn’t good enough of a jester for the waitress and somehow i’m a bad guy for wanting to try a beer. i tipped 18% and felt dirty about it. won’t be going back any time soon, there are other great beer joints on the strip to grab a drink and buy over priced food.

great craft beer. if you're into local and/or craft beers, you have to go to this place. their beermenuis easily three times as long as their food menu. and of course, there's the sampler option so you don't have to settle on just one. oh, and the food's pretty good too. i love their chicken burger. it's quite busy on the weekends though so be prepared for some noise.

food is so-so. overpriced. we ordered the calamari & beermisu. they are just so-so. but paid $11 for the 10 tiny calamari and extra $1 for the calamari dip. never heard extra charge for just a tiny dish of dip. the server normenuever mentioned about extra charge for dip. will never return.

stopped in today hoping to get breakfast, ended up leaving after having a tea and checking out their menu. their so called brunchmenuis quite limited and way overpriced!

not for picky eaters. i went here with a large group of friends (9 of us total). upon sitting down, we were handed numbers, and were to tell the waitress our number before every order. i understand that this keeps things more organized for her and makes sorting out the bill at the end of the night easier, but i wish she had done this herself. saying "number 2" then my order made me feel like just a number, rather than a guest at the restaurant. everyone else at the table loved their food, but unfortunately i didn't. i ordered the veggie burger which was described as "spiced'. i can handle spiced, but when i received it, it was quite spicy. way more than i could handle. i didn't want to return it or waste the meal, so i took the patty out and ate the bun and fries. the patty with a single bite out of it sat on my empty plate for 20 minutes, until i had to ask for the plate to be taken away. i wouldn't say this is a bad restaurant at all, but if you're a picky or sensitive eater, don't rely on themenudescriptions alone, and be prepared for less than stellar service if it's busy or you're in a large group.

great beer - mediocre food.. i have been to this place quite a few times- amazing beer list that is always rotating. which is great but they always seem to rotate my favorite ones rather quickly.
a few of my friends are not beer drinkers and their wine list is not amazing in the slightest - so when i go out with them we tend to not come here.

i also just need to vent about their menu. while pub food is pub food - and natchos and wings are easy and great on certain days - i just have to say that theirmenuis not very inventive and does not really change much. i have a lot of friends with different dietary restrictions - which in this day and age are abundant and should already be accounted for on menus - and it is nearly impossible for them to get a decent meal at this establishment. there are literally no gluten free options - even their salads have deep fried breaded objects - which sure you can get without but then your salad consists of lettuce. my friend said "this is not acceptable for a popular place on commercial drive" and i agree. i eat everything - but it's nice to have some healthy and interestingmenuitems and options - which this place clearly does not have.

all in all it is a great pub, great servers - i have had lots of laughs with some of the girls but they desperately need some newmenuitems. until then we will eat somewhere nicer then come for the beer - unless of course we are wanting greasy pub food.

themenuconsisted of the usual pub food, nothing fancy - until we got our gigantic nachos! i kid you not the plate shook our table when it hit the wood. i would recommend ordering this as a main or to be shared between 4 people if your considering it as an appetizer. another recommendation is: stop being stingy and pay the extra few bucks for the addition of pulled pork! so worth it.

i've been to this temple of barley and hops in many contexts now: lunch with friends, game night with a group, on a date, and even for a volunteer envelope stuffing event. a live beermenulisting their rotating selection of forty taps is on the website, and on screens in the pub itself.

cool commercial drive bar, one of the better ones. has a bunch of tvs which was awesome for the fights. themenucoild be deemed a bit simple but the chicken wings and sicilian pizza were great. tomato sauce, prosciuto, and seasonings were awesome on the pizza, and being a beer lover.... i cant complain with the 40+ beers on tap

good beer selection. i had the absolute worst service here. the waitress was inattentive and downright rude. i had planned to spend the evening there for my birthday celebration but ended up leaving quite early (after 2 beer). the server even removed everymenufrom the table after we had all ordered our second round. i was incredibly unimpressed. i'll go back for the beer selection, though.

awesome once again!!. so i went again for lunch this time and thought i would try the turkey club and a coffee.... wow themenuis true to its word about homemade daily roasted turkey for the sandwich and fresh ingredients, that really does make a difference on the palate .i had a side salad with it and it was so refreshing to have strawberries on it and a nice light vineagarette .even the coffee i ordered was very good.. how coffee should taste. also once again the service was friendly and the food came very quickly. i will be going back!!!!

great food,, awesome beer!!!. i love this place and go often... the food is awesome with good size portions.every time i go there i am greeted with friendly staff and served right away.also the beer selection they have is exellent,i have almost made my way through all twenty beers on tap.i have also chatted with one of the owners on many occasions and i find him to be honest and accomadating.i live on the drive and i would definalty reccomend to anyone to go and eat here and to also try one of thier special brews on tap.

beer anyone?. this is one of the true gems on the drive. big area, lots of flat screens, and a lot of beer! i think there were twenty taps (some double taps) of micro, specialty, and house brews. themenuwas great, not overbearing, with fair prices. quality of the food was outstanding. i had the chicken thai soup and the club sandwich. portion size was excellent. i wanted to try their deep fried tortilla wrapped cheese cake, but couldn't eat another bite after the soup & sandwich. owners seem like good guys, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. all-in-all, one of the best on commercial street, and anywhere else for that matter.
