great beer, decent food and good service. we had a great night out at st augustine's last night. we came because we'd heard the beer menu was good and were thoroughly impressed with the range. if you find 40beersa little bewildering ask your server to pick a good selection.

contrary to a couple of reviews here we found the staff to be really good. the woman who served us (tall with glasses) was great, really helpful with some of our beer noobs and friendly through-out. i definitely didn't begrudge giving her a decent tip.

the food was nice; my wife had the pulled pork sandwich and looked very happy while scoffing it.

we'll be back

my boyfriend's coworker had a birthday party at st. augustine's bar. the bar is located on commercial dr. nearby commercial boardway skytrain station. it is a great place to go for the birthday party. people can eat dinner and watch the game at the same time. we've ordered nachos, chicken wings and the 4beersflights since lots of people ordered them. it's a great thing to try all the popular food in this bar.

amazing section of craft beer that changes every week. every time i go there are many newbeersi have never heard of. the food is decent, i have only had burgers and pizza, but have never been disappointed. on sundays the pizzas are $12, which is a complete steal. the nachos look amazing, but i am yet to order them. one of my favorite spots in vancouver.

wanting to do some day drinking, we chose “st. augustine” as our destination. a decision based on having heard great food reviews and knowing they had an extensive selection ofbeersin bottles and plenty more on tap. it is located within walking distance from the broadway connecting skytrain station, which makes it a great drinking stop. on the street corner with new black awnings and a striking logo it’s hard not to miss. an imagine of their namesake saint with a beer rim for a halo. the staff wore the same logo and the same name across their shirts and hoodies as part of their dress code.

being next to a busy skytrain station usually means st. augustine’s is always busy. how does the pub fare hold up through constant busy hours? read on to find out. food: team mini together ordered a couple of identical pizzas and somebeerson tap. sundays have a $9 special on pizzas (reg. price ~$15) and so we got two smoked sausage pizzas. topped with caramelized fennel, serrano (!) peppers, onions, provolone cheese, and basil, this was a treat to have with the deal. it’s a pretty spicy dish and writing about it makes my mouth salivate. be sure to have something to drink to accompany this dish. speaking of the highlight of any pub, i tried a seasonal tricycle radler from parallel 49 which is the lightest beer on the menu. i was expecting an overly sour experience as i usually have with citrusbeersbut this was quite refreshing. being only 3.5% alcohol also helped add to its fizzy taste. i had no problems downing this and was satisfied enough to order another beer. features: this pla

i find this pub to have an amazing atmosphere and love to watch sports there!

recently was told by the server they served gf beer on tap along with gf cider. i was very excited only to become very disappointed as they do not designate a line for gf beer or gf cider. was told by the server that there is a risk of cross contamination so having celiac disease i didn't risk it!
it's awesome to see the gf choices in vancouver and some places will designate lines specifically for gf so that there is minimum risk for cross contamination.
i realize they switch theirbeersover often and only hope they will consider designated at least one line for gf beer and cider. there are so many businesses making an effort to be gf and make every effort to prevent cross contamination and not just cashing in on the gf trend. i love this pub and think it's awesome they have so many gf choices on tap but fall short on designated a line to support the people who don't have a choice.....

go for the beer, skip the food. avoid friday and saturday nights for an excellent relaxing experience with the best selection ofbeersin vancouver. rotating taps beat all other bars in town, check the website to 'know before you go' on the live beer menu. i prefer it to the alibi room - but you will starve if you stay at st. aug's for food, and your wine/hiball friends will not appreciate it, either. the dip trio is ok, if you order extra bread - everything else has been a rip off or substandard.

great time, as always.. went there on saturday night and had a good time, as always, once we'd refused to be seated around the corner where you can't see anyone or anything.maybe i have low expectations or standards , but i've always had good service, good food and good beer here.my pizza was tasty and hot.my wifes beef stew likewise. they had the amazing parallel 49 n2 nitro stout so i ordered 2, one to drink while the other warmed up to the correct (room) temperature. the waitress was friendly and efficient and the whole evening went by very pleasantly.craft beer market has a bigger selection ofbeersbut their food and drink prices are ridiculous and the staff and clientele at st. augustine's are much nicer. i'll keep coming back!!

this seemed like a regular neighbourhood bar, but actually this craft brew house has over 40 (!)beerson tap that are continuously changing. that's pretty amazing. and they have a live beer menu! that's so cool. they offer paddles of four beers, each of 4oz for $8.50.

brilliant. a fantastic selection of west coastbeerson tap, including lovely seasonal rotations, one of the best veggie burgers in the city, and cheery, knowledgeable, good service. i love it here; it's up there with alibi, biercraft and the whip.

dont be fooled. there's nothing fresh about this place. get your beer gaggles cleaned. over priced
s hole. plenty of great places on the drive.this is' not one of them !!! . you will thank me later. your welcome. p.s. they write their own reviews. and the washrooms still stink.

a real dissapointment. commercial drive is known for it's great food and trendy places. this is not one of them, to the owners of this place people are wallets. i happened to comment to the staff and owners, that i was dissatisfied with one of their caskbeersdue to sediment in the beer. rather than trying to make me happy and offer me something else i was asked to leave. $12.00 was a cheap price to pay. p.s. the washrooms stink like the service.

cool commercial drive bar, one of the better ones. has a bunch of tvs which was awesome for the fights. the menu coild be deemed a bit simple but the chicken wings and sicilian pizza were great. tomato sauce, prosciuto, and seasonings were awesome on the pizza, and being a beer lover.... i cant complain with the 40+beerson tap
