a close 2nd to new orleans po-boys. i've been eating here for over 15 years now, and when it comes to a good oyster sandwich with killer tartar sauce, this place is 2nd only to my favorite new orleans establishments of which there are dozens====but hey, we are in south texas!!!
the fish sandwich is equally enticing. for fried food, which i try to avoid, the batter is very light, and they fry it at a really high temp so it turns out crisp and not dripping of grease.
fish and chips are a great dish as well, again deep fat fried.
atmosphere is perfect for the food types, open air, no air conditioning, just like we grew up with in the good old days!!!!
