food was way over priced, very greasy, and it's cash only. my husband and i got two combo plates and a can of soda for $36. it was three fried oysters, three fried shrimp, two fried fish chunks, and a bunch of nasty fries. if i wanted that i would have gone to long john silvers!!! we are never going back. oh and there are no refils you have to buy another can of soda, fyi two canned sodas cost $3.30...

i wasn't prepared for no a/c and pretty much only fried food. i had the fish basket and it was alright. my husband had broiled mahi mahi. neither one of us was impressed. been there. done that. no need to return.

casual and comfy. this is one of my favorite places to simply relax and enjoy a drink. the outdoor seating is beautiful and unique as you can actually pull up on your boat or jetski.

the fish is always enjoyable and fairly affordable.

this place is a favorite for locals and tourists alike.

if you want fried fish, it's good. the hush puppies were flavorless. there were few non-fried options and most of those were served with rice. that being said, we got what we paid for and the location on the pier was enjoyable.

we come to padre island nearly every month from austin for two reasons, the beach and snoopy's!! they have the best boiled shrimp i've ever tasted, plump, wonderful goodness! the fried mahi mahi and shrimp is equally great!!! this place is a must try! do not miss it if you come down here to vacation! we go several times, sometimes lunch and dinner!!! :)

good but not great. i thought the food was good but pricy for what we got. the sides were expecially high. i like they have a broiled and fried fish option. my broiled mahi mahi was good but a little bland - the veggies in chatt sauce made it much butter. the vinegar slaw was tasty as well as the rice that came with the fish.

overpriced long john silvers. go for the catch of the day only. also a little known addition called scoopy's next doors has the best cupcake icecream brownie on the planet. it is completely worth the visit.

love it. snoopy's is a wonderful rustic seafood "shack". see may/june 2011 coastal living magazine for quick read about them.
we eat out at least 5 times a week and have frequented snoopy's for years. they are consistently great. the food is fresh and never grease laden. it is what it is. not a health food place! the fried oysters are to die for and the bucolic setting relaxing. start with crab stuffed jalapenos and a dressed carona. we always order "family" style and share!

stx tradition. if you're in the area, it's a must to stop here and grab something to eat.
yes, yes, yes....we all know - cash only. some people make this out to be a bigger deal than it should be. personally, i don't blame them. restaurants have to pay fees everytime they charge someone's credit card and checks bounce way too much. that isn't the establishments problem.
the food is amazing. super fresh seafood. yes, you can't get a meal for under $10, but it's fresh seafood!
go to joe's crabshack and you will pay more money for frozen stuff.
great atmosphere - you can walk in your swimsuit and relax outside while you wait for your food.

cash only?. this place doesn't except credit cards, no kidding, what does that tell you. i guess you need to stop at an atm before you go out? appeared to be low grade from what we seen from the front door. the menu wasn't cheap enough for pocket change so don't waste your time stopping.

a close 2nd to new orleans po-boys. i've been eating here for over 15 years now, and when it comes to a good oyster sandwich with killer tartar sauce, this place is 2nd only to my favorite new orleans establishments of which there are dozens====but hey, we are in south texas!!!

the fish sandwich is equally enticing. for fried food, which i try to avoid, the batter is very light, and they fry it at a really high temp so it turns out crisp and not dripping of grease.

fish and chips are a great dish as well, again deep fat fried.
atmosphere is perfect for the food types, open air, no air conditioning, just like we grew up with in the good old days!!!!
