snoopy's pier

huge disappointment.... never again. i ordered the boiled shrimp thinking that the word "boiled" implied a warm entrée. the shrimp were cold and tasted old and chewy. i will give the restaurant kudos for their grilled veggies and hush puppies. those were delicious. cole slaw, fried platter, and shrimp...not so much. doc's was better. as for the cleanliness of the place, it smelled gross and the bathrooms were sub-par. i will not return ir recommend.

snoopy's pier. we have heard that snoopy's was a restaurant we needed to experience. after dinner here on saturday night, i am not sure that snoopy's lives up to the hype. the food was good, but we had been led to expect more.

if you do not like fried foods, then you may as well not stop and eat here. if you like fried foods every so often, then you will enjoy this. we rarely eat anything fried, but this was an exception.

the atmosphere is coastal marsh wharf shack style. looks like a dump, but having grown up along the coast, i know places such as this can be great dining experiences - if you like most everything fried.

my partner and i ordered two combo dinners. these included 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, 4 fish, and fries. he got the stuffed jalapenos and cole slaw. i got the fried okra and hush puppies. we were both quite stuffed.

snoopy's is a nice little local place with coastal flair and good waterway views. service is fast and friendly, even when busy. it was a good evening for us, and we enjoyed snoopy's. we shall return in a few months.

outstanding!!!. i though the food and the atmosphere were outstanding!!!! i had the combo plate and it was the best fish, shrimp and oysters that i have had in a very long time. don't miss this gem!!!!!

snoopy's is the greatest. we live an hour away from snoopy's, but we've made it a point to go there every week. i love it!! the food is great. take a bite of the fish and it just melts in your mouth--so good. the prices are good too. the atmosphere is so nice and relaxing, watching the boats go by and the birds flying in the air. and the people who work there go out of their way to make you feel welcome. i always walk away with a big smile on my face. can't wait for my next visit.

i grew up on this place, what happened???. they used to serve amberjack or mahi mahi for the fish and chips, but today they served covina which is drum....ugh! it was fatty and greasy....the greasy wasn't from the frying. i came home to visit from alexandria va. because i grew up on snoopy's seafood. what happened? so disappointed.
i will defintely call when i come back to town and question the fish before i make the effort to drive out there.

it is what it is. the food isn't great, but it isn't bad. the portions are the perfect size so that you aren't hungry but you aren't full. it is the view you go for. corpus needs lots more places that take advantage of the coastal location. plus, you can go next door for dessert and coffee afterwards.

amazing fresh fish. the fish and chips was possibly the best that i have ever had. the breading was very lite and had a perfect crunch. so good. the coleslaw was vinegar which i prefer over mayonnaise based. the atmosphere is on the docks and its entertaining to watch all the boats and fisherman. it was the best meal that i had while in corpus christie. will go again before i leave.

small selection, everything fried, birds throwing #2 on the plates and table. will never go back...

best of the best. food is not expensive. for those that say it is then you're cheap. beggers can't be choosers. next time check your wallet before walking inside; snoopy's pier is simply too good for those that complain.

cash only? so what?! for those that complain: you're just lazy to walk to the atm that literally less than ten steps to the left of the main entrance.

food greasy? it's fried, what did you expect? and take a good look at you: i'm sure you're way past greasy yourself.

snoopy's pier is the place to eat seafood in corpus christi, texas. the fish is caught, skinned, cut, and fried all in one day. no fish is old, no fries are old, no grease is old, everything is fresh.

and what's best: snoopy's pier recipes are family recipes and absolutely secret. what does this mean?

that you will not find fish like snoopy's fish anywhere else in the world. seriously, it's just amazing.

my favorite dish: fish and chips. simplicity is best. regardless, i'm never disappointed.

the best. the main reason we go to corpus christie is for snoopy's use to be the beach years ago, but having been to cancun, grand cayman, ect...dirty water doesn't do anything for me now. but snoopy's is the best and i will continue to take a couple trips a year worth the 4 hour drive and a weekend getaway, will eat there at least 4 times in a weekend. love it!

great location.... the location is great. right on the water. definitely not pretentious. food was okay. pretty much everything is fried.

limited selection, almost everything fried! very pricey for french fries, fried shrimp and 2 hushpuppies! shrimp was fresh but paid for the outdoor dining!

cash only is ghetto, anything you order that's not fried is very very blah. cheap plastic chairs and a not so clean dining area - skip and go to doc's trust me!!!!
