go for seafood, but order the soup!. hands'down favorite when visiting hilton head - this place is a dive, but the food is about the best in area. daily specials are usually the way to go, but don't forget to order soup! she-crab, lobster bisque, clam chowder....these folks can really throw down on some seafood-based bowls of love! again, not a place to be missed when visiting hilton head!

the wait is really long to get in but for a good reason. the food is amazing and very reasonably priced. they have crushed ice and the best sides. it may not be pretty, but the food is worth the wait.

unpretentious tasty food that is good for your soul. the blackened oysters are delicious.

no frills, very good beach seafood.. went a couple times and really no wait, but we were off-season.

no frills here. big board inside the door with specials. in the end the fish is the star with the sides being passable but not great. have options of fried, grilled, blackened and sometimes yerk so you can probably find what you want.

worth mentioning the drill, stand in line, place your order, then grab a table inside or out. if you grab a table first, nobody is happy, particularly the people who just placed their orders and looking for a place to sit.

finally, should mention the price. really, count on $10-$15 per sandwich or entree. not cheap, but certainly not expensive for the neighborhood and what you get.

first off, the pictures that are posted don't show the true look of this place. this a hole in the wall. the lady that took our order was short and rude. barely enough seats to hold maybe 15 people. i did notice that the group i was with got a lot of "strange" looks once we walked in(read into it however you want to). the food: total garbage!!! over cooked, dry, and not something i will be recommending for anyone.

great food. worth the wait good food for the price you can get anything done 3 ways blackened,grilled or fried definitely should try

definitely a no frills kind of place. the service is a little surly and the menu is a bit confusing and pricey if you try to do anything outside of their presets. that being said, the food was great and this is the only place on the island that i found to get she-crab soup that isn't just a cup of heavy cream. enjoy!

food is good, but the wait is not. not sure that it is worth the line. they need to improve their timing of orders and open up a takeout window.

information. well i will say we were not satisfied we were visiting from pa where we bought a condo and a realtor friend told us about the place my husband and son was sitting at a table outside my son is autistic and a lady from the restaurant came up and was rude to my husband saying why are you sitting there he proceeded to tell her my wife is ordering the food

we spent over 60.00 and got this cold treatment the waitress who brought the food out was very nice the food was okay

if she was the owner she needs to apologize to us
then we left cleaned up our mess where others did not do so and it so happened the same lady who gave my husband problems also cleaned the table

i am planning to move to hilton head and i will not be there for a while at the restaurant i did tell the realtor who goes there alot about it also

i have being coming to hilton head island since 2000 and lived in the area for five years now. a co worker had talked about the sea shack and said it was amazing. he had heard about it per the rachel ray show. well today i went with my co workers and this restaurant is totally amazing. amazing is putting it mildly. upon entering we were made feel very welcome and we were not rushed at all when looking at the amazing menu posted on the wall when you walk in. i am from dublin, ireland originally and traveled all over the world. i certainly know a great sea food restaurant. well the sea shack is both amazing and great. i had the shrimp bisque and the fish and chips. we also shared the gator bites!!! a must try when you visit. the soup was amazing and honestly brought back memory's to 1980's ireland where i experienced amazing sea food soups. now here is what really made my day. the fish&chips were amazing. i know my fish&chips again from my days in ireland and my travels all over the world. i applaud everyone that is involved in this operation. everyone from the management team, kitchen staff and wait staff were outstanding. i certainly will be returning here very soon. also my co workers had the same experience. the sea shack certainly rates five stars and more. very clean, great service, great food and outstanding customer service. well what are you waiting for. a must visit if you are living or visiting the hilton head island, bluffton, beaufort, savannah and charleston area.
looking forward to my next visit and the sea shack is now on my list of favorite restaurants.

i heard all the buzz about the sea shack. followed the tips on when to come and what to order. so my time finally came as i've been wanting to try this place so badly.
the service was was great. the restaurant itself, well its dumpy. that's not a bad thing, just fits into the category of a "dive"
i was expecting to be blown away, based on the reviews.
the food was good. i finished my entire meal, but it was just good, not great. my wife loved her lobster roll. i should have ordered that as well.
i will still suggest this to others that ask, maybe they will absolutely love it.

get there way before they open or you’ll be waiting for an hour. the food is worth the wait though. fish and chips was the best ever! the menu isn’t up to date on this site and the prices are higher. the shark attack was great too. pass on their deserts.

fried sea food in a small restaurant with quick service and long lines for lunch and dinner. just take your time and relax, chose your sandwich or plate and enjoy! i had the shrimp poor boy and collards mmmm.

hole in the wall. they take credit cards now but gave me a discount because i wasn't a line slower and paid in cash. how did you find out about this place among the rich snobs that frequent hilton head in their bmw's trying to kill every bike rider to get to their tee time? zomato! the guys who fix your pool wait in line to get lunch here. why? because the food is fresh, fantastic, and they have crazy rules! locals bring their friends here and explain that they can't come here in the busy season because the lines are too long! there are 100 seafood places within a mile of this place. if you wear a popped collar with a sweater tied around your neck as a saturday outfit...spend 10 times as much to get half as good seafood down the block. you don't get it. this place rocks!
