awesome job all the way around! great food, seated fast, and fantastic service (thanks, colby!).

look at me for crying out loud,lol. food was great (as always at saltgrass), but the staff was so...no the hostess seemed so displeased, "blah" and lackadaisical. i understand being in a off mood at work, but you've gotta watch when you let that show to customers (they may love to write factual reviews on urban spoon) especially as a sever, i think it's fine to be pissed in the kitchen,its hot back there. a smile and a little eye contact will go a long way ;-). my server however was great,too bad i didn't get any names last week.

i ran across the saltgrass as i got into town this evening. they are pretty reliable, so i stopped. it was a bit of a disappointment in some ways. i ordered a t-bone (medium), with a bowl of baked potato soup. it took about 10 min to get any attention, and it turned out to be a manager. between the manager and the servers, i had four people at my table over the course of the meal. it took a while, but my soup arrived; it was pretty good as i would expect from a saltgrass. my steak arrived five minutes later. so now i had a lot of food on the table. the steak was more to the rare side. i let it sit for a good 10 minutes while i ate soup; it eventually got to between medium rare and medium. it was pretty tasty, though. the second side was a baked potato that needed a bit more time in the oven baking. the iced tea was excellent. service seemed rushed and less than attentive. it was not the saltgrass experience that i expected. i hope that they were having a problem compensating for some i

really really good. had eaten at the one in beaumont & enjoyed it so decided to try this one while visiting the boardwalk. for a "chain" steakhouse it was good & had some interesting menu choices. i had a sirloin with an herb butter topping with 4 grilled shrimp, it was a good piece of sirloin cooked perfectly med rare. husband had the 1/2 rack of ribs with 5 stuffed shrimp & the ribs were succulent & the shrimp were delicious. there homemade salad dressings are top notch & the mac & cheese is some of the best anywhere. lots of chain restaurants in the area & this is probably the only one i'd go back to.

fast and friendly when being seated. prompt server colin was friendly helpful and very nice. food was really great. had ribeye and husband had prime rib.

our server was annoying and didn't know the menu, but the food was good and delivered quickly. we would go back and just sit in another section.

my wife and i came to saltgrass this past saturday night, and as expected, they were swamped! the hostess was friendly and the door was opened for us upon our entry. but where this place shined was with the wait staff and food. colby was our waiter and was an absolute delight! he was so friendly and professional, he explained his features item to perfection! he sold both of us on our drinks, appetizers, and entrees! this is an amazing restaurant with even better staff and unbelievable food! i recommend this place to anyone at any time! if the rest of the staff is anything like our server, this place is going somewhere! we cannot thank saltgrass in bossier city enough!

food is okay. the free bread was off. a few people look like they are bitter wolfing here.

we ate there for lunch, and i have to admit i was excited about a chain steakhouse. i ordered the fillet, rare. our server was attentive but not spectacular. he was probably new. i was completely surprised when the fillet was cooked as it should be and tasted amazing! i will definitely return. additionally, the mac n cheese was delicious.

$3.00 side salad really. waitng on bill for fork and spoon too. not going back .

not known for the best steaks. i live near this restaurant and visit it often. the thing to know about the rockwall saltgrass is that it is not popular because it has the best steaks. it is popular because it has a great atmosphere, a nice variety of food and good service.

people know that the ribeyes are average at best. they are usually lean and a little on the tough side - but not bad.

anyway, it's a great restaurant but it's best to know going in that the steaks are average.

disappointed. you know, i don't know what's going on there but the food is not as good as it used to be, the lettuce is wilted, old, the food not cooked to what i wanted, 6 people in our party and the food was cooked wrong for each plate, i don't blame the waiter i do blame the cook, also the commented on a cheesecake i didn't care for that they had, and the manager chose to argue with me that everyone loves it, obviously not, because i don't the pumpkin cheesecake is gross. hopefully someone from higher up will find out whats going on there, because this is not the saltgrass it used to be

this was mediocre at best. we ordered a bottle of wine and were told 25 mins later they were out of that bottle. they were also out of the 2nd bottle w!e ordered. we finally got the 3rd bottle we ordered,but only after our meal arrived. steak was fatty. not that great. we wont be returning.

decent steak house. our first time here was pretty good. we started with crab cakes and texas 2 step cocktail;crab cakes were delicious and fresh and the cocktail was okay. the drink supposed to have vodka in it, but i barely tasted the vodka. i should have ordered a regular fruit drink instead. the house and garden salads were ordinary. my husband had a new york strip with baked potato, and i ordered chicken laredo with scampi rice. his steak was better than the steak at outback, and my food wasn’t outstanding: normal grilled chicken with greasy rice. the service was fast and our server was polite. it is a good and decent steak house for a chain restaurant.
