i read a lot of reviews that were not so great especially in regards to the service but our waitress was wonderful. melissa was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. we got our food in a timely manner, i got the sirloin and my husband got the prime rib. the sirloin is the better choice mine was a nice thick cut of meat andcookedcorrectly. the prime rib was thin and served on a piece of bread. prime rib may be a thin he has never ordered one before. prices were about average for a steakhouse.

totally yummy. my wife and i had a great meal at saltgrass steakhouse. appetizers and our main course tasted great and werecookedexactly like we asked for them. at the end of the meal we even bought gift cards to give out for father's day so that the rest of our family would have an excuse to have a great meal.

we came in before the dinner crowd so service was pretty fast. we had a ribeye and filet. both werecookedwell and tasted great but both were very thin cuts, seriously like half the thickness i'm used to.

the visit started a little maddening but that feeling disappeared with the service and quality of food. the reservation was for 15 but increased to 18, adding 40 minutes to our wait time. however, when the waiter arrived the goodness began. his methodology in serving drinks, to serving appetizers to order taking taking and serving the meal, was so well coordinated and timed perfectly. he did this all on his own and i didn't hear one complaint. i had one bacon-wrapped quail leg, 1/2 jalapeno pepper and some artichoke/spinach dip. my main course was western ground beef. allcookedto perfection. the setting was my image of typical texas.

excellent.! my ribeye had an great flavor and wascookedto perfection. hayden was an excellent server and made great recommendations. chocolate cake was very good.

one of my favorite steak houses in amarillo. love the cheese fries as an app. usually get a dinner salad with good bleu cheese dressing. the bread & butter is yummy! i've eaten the sirloin & filet. always seasoned well &cookedat correct temperature. love this place!

great place to eat. this is one of the best restaurants my husband and i have been to, the chicken fried steak wascookedjust right, and they have great drinks also. 5 stars!!

excellent steaks and shrimp platter.. i had the smothered steak, ordered medium well, andcookedto perfection. melt in your mouth good.
my wife had the shrimp platter, and again with sauces made in house. she said the cocktail sauce was very, very, good. also i tried the bacon wrapped, cream cheese stuffed shrimp, basted with a barbecue sauce, and it was dilectible.
overall, great food, great atmosphere, and great service. i highly recomend this restaurant.

aweful experience!. been to a few and it's been great all around, good fast service, extra tender, juicy,cookedexactly as ordered but the one in shreveport boardwalk had the worse service by far from anywhere i've been to. the waitress was rude and unnatending. my food was delicious but it did not compensate having to eat it without a drink, no forks until we asked a passing by waitress, no steak sauce, and i dare to say when we tried to get her attention she totally ignored us. the manager was made aware and although i believe in paying for what you consume i think he took it lightly.. i am a supervisor myself and i believe the waitress attitude is a consequence of poor managment. will not be going back i do not care how good the food is if i am being charge for everything i defently expect to have everything!!!

undercookedsteak. i was not pleased with my first time to salt grass in amarillo. the service was prompt but the steak was not cooked. i ordered medium rare, and started eating but as i got to the center i realized i have been struggling because this steak was on the grill for seconds not minutes. this was not even rare, shows a lazy cook and no quality control. the cook served this a runner to it to the bar and bartender served and not one person looked at what they served. i am just as quilty to have noticed halfway into the steak.

really really good. had eaten at the one in beaumont & enjoyed it so decided to try this one while visiting the boardwalk. for a "chain" steakhouse it was good & had some interesting menu choices. i had a sirloin with an herb butter topping with 4 grilled shrimp, it was a good piece of sirloincookedperfectly med rare. husband had the 1/2 rack of ribs with 5 stuffed shrimp & the ribs were succulent & the shrimp were delicious. there homemade salad dressings are top notch & the mac & cheese is some of the best anywhere. lots of chain restaurants in the area & this is probably the only one i'd go back to.

we ate there for lunch, and i have to admit i was excited about a chain steakhouse. i ordered the fillet, rare. our server was attentive but not spectacular. he was probably new. i was completely surprised when the fillet wascookedas it should be and tasted amazing! i will definitely return. additionally, the mac n cheese was delicious.

disappointed. you know, i don't know what's going on there but the food is not as good as it used to be, the lettuce is wilted, old, the food notcookedto what i wanted, 6 people in our party and the food wascookedwrong for each plate, i don't blame the waiter i do blame the cook, also the commented on a cheesecake i didn't care for that they had, and the manager chose to argue with me that everyone loves it, obviously not, because i don't the pumpkin cheesecake is gross. hopefully someone from higher up will find out whats going on there, because this is not the saltgrass it used to be

great food as always!. we were in the mood for some tasty food so we headed on out to saltgrass on friday. i ordered my usual (a grilled chicken salad) and my hubby ordered a rib-eye medium rare. the food came quick enough considering how many folks were there.
our server was very attentive and would bring us our drinks when they were half full which was to say a lot since she seemed pretty busy. our food came and it was as always, delicious. my chicken salad was moist and super flavorful and their homemade thousand island is a great touch! my hubby said his steak wascookedperfectly.
overall, if you're in the mood for some good food and an extensive menu, go to saltgrass.
