saltgrass steak house

pretty good for a chain.... my wife and i have been here twice mainly because it reminds us of the steak/barbecue places we liked in texas.

theplaceis usually busy, no big d though. the food is worth it and so is the beer. the prime rib is perfect and seems to come out at least 2 oz. larger than what the menu says. the ribs are also fall off the bone wonderful and has just the right amount of sauce.

the service is generally good, although i was a little off put with an older woman waitress who asked us for our drink order when we were with family and copped an attitude when nobody said anything and i told her my drink order. then she proceeded to tell me "ladys first" and when she got back around to me, acted like she forgot i had said "iced tea.". she's lucky that i wasn't paying/tipping.

otherwise, this is aplacei can see coming back here again!

want an amazing meal?! go to saltgrass steakhouse!! i had the grilled shrimp and it was to die for! my sister ordered the filet and it was just as amazing.. the service was too perfect! its a little pricey but worth every penny! i highly recommend thisplacewhen you come to ft worth!

average. after all the hype died down i think i realize thisplacehas a nice building nice staff bt only average overpriced food!! i think i'll stick with theplacenext door!!

horrible 5/26/10. just bad does not cover it my wife had prime rib she said it was the worst she ever had. i had the bone in rib eve 24 ounce (maybe on mars) greasy fat very little edible meat beer $3.75 service was less than average cost us $80 to get out of there very disappointed.also the tables are crammed so close together it is almost claustrophobic.i would say you could walk either direction and find a betterplacetoo eat. will not go back

we were vacationing from another state and asked our hotel to recommend a "true texas steak" and they didn't hesitate when they recommended thisplacefor the true texas experience. they did not steer us wrong. thank you saltgrass steakhouse for the best ribeye i've ever had! fork-tender and so flavorful. i can't even describe it except to say that i am ruined for all other steakhouses; my home state just can't compare.

i had the chicken tortilla soup as my starter and it was also exceptionally great. even the side dish was great: i got asparagus and it must have been grilled because it had a hint of smoky flavor. and now i'm truly salivating.

strongly recommend getting a reservation. thisplaceis packed even on a weeknight; the parking lot was overfull and the side street was packed on both sides of the street for at least 2 blocks down. it can be a royal pain in the butt if you don't get a reservation.

last time we went there was the last time we went there.  had been there several times.  we live one city to the west.  so it is a drive for us and a walk after you find a parking spot, which is a block or more away.  all was well and we had enjoyed and we had taken guests.  but this time it was just us and my husband had driven so i did not have my id with me.  we ordered cocktails and browsed the menu and the server said she had to see our id's.  so my husband showed his id and i said mine was at home. we are in our 50's and would you believe the girl said she could not serve me without an id.  i said i am over 21, anyone can see that.  she said sorry, those are the rules.  we got up and left and i called the next day and asked about it and they said you might be undercover officers checking on us and i said no otherplacedoes this to a person obviously over 40.  so, they lost us for good.  we will never be back to eat their fatty prime rib or their frozen french fries.  plenty of other places a lot closer.  good luck.  and bye.

thisplacehas the best steak for a chain. i'm not a fan of outback or texas roadhouse but don't mind saltgrass. our family eats at thisplaceat least once a month. my fave is a petite fillet with red wine and pepper reduction. good side choices!! you can't skip the rattlesnake bites!

greatplaceto eat. this is one of the best restaurants my husband and i have been to, the chicken fried steak was cooked just right, and they have great drinks also. 5 stars!!

overall 2 thumbs down. slow service, stale chips, flat soft drinks and took an hour to get our drink order from the bar. the rating for this location is deceiving. we will not visit thisplaceagain.

service was great! friendly and attentive. food was very good and the portions were huge - plenty to share!! restaurant was clean and well tended. definitely a goodplacefor dinner!!

my wife and i came to saltgrass this past saturday night, and as expected, they were swamped! the hostess was friendly and the door was opened for us upon our entry. but where thisplaceshined was with the wait staff and food. colby was our waiter and was an absolute delight! he was so friendly and professional, he explained his features item to perfection! he sold both of us on our drinks, appetizers, and entrees! this is an amazing restaurant with even better staff and unbelievable food! i recommend thisplaceto anyone at any time! if the rest of the staff is anything like our server, thisplaceis going somewhere! we cannot thank saltgrass in bossier city enough!

felt like i was being hosted at someone's home!!!!. visited this restaurant with my husband and two of his co-workers for friday happy hour! our server lynette was fantastic. her service made me feel like i was being hosted at her home. she was extremely attentive even though she was serving other tables at the same time. the food and drinks were also on point, i had a tuna salad entrée, and some orgasmic chocolate for dessert. so with all of those elements combined, it was definitely a happy hour! i can recommend thisplaceeasily to anyone!

greatplaceto hang out and the food is very fresh and tasty. ask for cody... steaks were very good. will recommend.

my hubby and i recently ate there for the first time..food was great, service was amazing, and pricing was very fair. the only suggestion i have is to maybe update the carpet? overall, it's a greatplacefor an enjoyable dinner!
