really struggled with whether to like or not like this place, so i will just explain our experience. from lubbock, in town for the weekend. we came on a saturday night around 7:30. there was a 35 minute wait and host staff was friendly. our waiter was nice, but he had quite a few things working against him on this particular night that were outside of his control. 1) we ordered a bottle of wine. the waiter asked the bartender to ring it up and apparently he rang up a glass of wine, so initially we were sent that and it was sent back. once this was corrected, they sent the 18 year old (this was confirmed) to present and open the bottle for us. you could tell he was nervous, and he accidentally broke the cork. he took the bottle to the bar to see how to remedy the issue and apparently they sent him back with the same bottle (after retrieving the cork). however, we had cork floating in our wine, so our waiter had to fix that and bring us a new bottle. 2) my salad came out with about a teaspoon of ranch dressing on it, and we had to wait a bit for our waiter to bring more (he got distracted and forgot). once i got more though, i quickly realized the dressing was fabulous (and for all you southerners, it's buttermilk ranch). husband ordered to prime rib and i ordered the sirloin and shrimp (coconut and bbq brochette). prime rib was good, but texas roadhouses is more flavorful. i enjoyed the sirloin, but it was more fatty and tougher than what i get at texas roadhouse. we both ordered our steaks medium rare and both steaks came out as ordered. overall, our waiter did a good job trying to accommodate us, but the other staff made it a bit hard for him. i was particularly unimpressed with the bar staff. when you go to a restaurant priced like this one, you don't send a bottle of wine w a broken cork back to the table. write it off and move on.
