eh...would have had better food cooking at home. the whole place needs a makeover. like the idea but it just falls very flat. it's pretty much like going to any middle of the road chain restaurant (food, service, and atmosphere). better off skipping it.

salt life food shack jacksonville beach florida. i am a golf professional in jacksonville/ponte vedra beach for 25 years. i have a background in cca restaurant management. i enjoy great food and great service on my short time off. i take all of my customers to salt life food shack for lunch. i've enjoyed the blackened wings since harry's. also, i recommend the poke bowl. before you and yours sit down, make sure casey, "the bartender," is working! he makes the best margarita i have tasted. you must sit at bar to experience his excellent customer skills. he knows the menu and can' recommend the perfect item on menu for even the plantation at ponte vedra members or jax beach municiple golfers. i could go on and on, but, i have to go teach children how to play golf. bucklowrygolf@yahoo.com

everything is great except the food. calamari wasn't good, shrimp skewers w pineapple wasnt good, chicken sandwich no good! so disappointed!

one of the best. this legend is one of the best restaurants in the jax beach area, seafood or otherwise. the food is fresh and very taste, prices aren't bad, drinks, especially the bloody marys, are great. the decor is perfect for a beach restaurant... beachy with a surf theme, but very clean. plus the waitstaff are really cute and so, so pleasant. when people visit from out of town, we always make sure to take them here and they always love it.

really good food....really good service. we ate here for the first time on our second visit to jacksonville. we did have to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but it was because we wanted a regular table not a high top. they were very busy but our server scott was awesome! he was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great suggestions. food came out fast and was very hot and very yummy. the food was fresh fresh fresh. we will definitely be eating here again.

no service. after 25 minutes and nothing but a menu its time to leave and not ever go back. all the young ladies were nice but busy walking back and forth and waiting on local they called by name. after the second couple came in and were given their drinks gave their food order.....never again......

going down hill. they started so strong. great idea- great location- great food- however over the past year every time we go its a little worse to now we are done. potatoes still raw, portions smaller, just overall quality they once held has slipped. hope they can rekindle

for starters i have salt life stickers on the front and back of my car because it defines my lifestyle so it should go without saying that i love this restaurant. the soft shell crab and bacon sandwich is a fav fav. i usually tell then to double up the crab cause living salt life lifestyle you can go big or go home. there sushi rolls are also grate! watch out for the one with fresh jalapeño pickles on the top of it because it will burn going in and out. lol! always great times here.

great place, everything from the variety of foods on the menu, presentation, and taste was amazing. service was great. the decor was amazing as well. we had another couple from mobile alabama with us and they said they would make the drive again just to eat there. i will return.

anyone who don't like this place obviously ain't local and don't know good food. this place is boss and the food isn't cheap but it is serious grind and the chicks that work there are all tens and it is a good place to catch a buzz and meet hot beach chicks. lots of
fine ass tattooed babes in the bar area if you go in the evenings. scored here multiple times.

good food, great service. went here on recommendation from hotel clerk. good advise! i got fried shrimp which was very good. my wife got the crab leg boil. she was very happy with it. the service was fantastic. no complaints, not even when the bill came.

the best at the beach!. absolutely love the food here! the nachos are to die for! pricing is good for the portions, but good luck finding parking at anytime ever. i literally drove around the beach for 20 minutes one time just to eat there. i parked almost 4 blocks away!
