bestsushiin buffalo. this is by far the most amazingsushiin buffalo. very extensive selection of speciality rolls, all of which are very unique and taste amazing. service is wonderful and everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. can't say enough good things about this place.

seriously?!. i sat at the bar for a quick bite. i was ignored by the bartender until i finally asked if i could have a menu. she begrudgingly tossed one at me then went back to talking to her friends. i asked her how the saki was there... she replied "hot or cold" good to see that the staff is trained. at that point i should have left, but i had heard good things so i opted to stay. i decided to order a bowl of udon, being that i really like udon noodles. before i describe them let me mention i was given nothing to eat my food with, a person down the bar from me tossed me a roll of utensils and a napkin. all this took place in front of the manager who was sitting at the bar drinking. the noodles themselves were what i'd expect, the rest... pretty bad. the broth had no flavor other than bell peppers which was about the only thing in there other than my noodles. there were a couple slices of uncooked mushrooms tossed in there. by far some of the worst udon i have ever had. thesushii got was forgettable and possibly not so fresh. bad food and terrible service has assured i will not be returning here. i will stick with other smallersushiplaces in the area.

good but they are talkitive..sushimen in sakura are very talkitive. i dont know what language they are speaking, i am think japanese, they are talking and laughing. sensitive people like me i feel very offended.

food is amazing, servers are doing best. yet, sushimen. they have to learn how to speak quietly or not to talk at all.

sakura has been a staple for me and many others in hattiesburg for years. they have always been consistent and never let me down. you can certainly get cheapersushiaround here, but you get what you pay for. the miso soup is great, the miso salad dressing is wonderful. both are consistent in my experience.

i only ever getsushiand occasionally steamed gyoza. sakura is honestly some of the bestsushii have ever had excluding maybe one or two places around the country, but it is still close. i'm nosushiconnoisseur, but i do know that sakura is the place to go forsushiin hattiesburg.

the service is great. tommy was a wonderful waiter back in the day, and now we have danny. he is a young vietnamese guy who came here speaking no english. he supports his family with this waiting job and he is a damn good server, so take good care of him!

clean establishment, very friendly service. i sat and drank tea until i realized that i was late for an appointment, had to leave, and they didn't even charge me for the tea. upon my return, i had the chicken teriyaki andsushicombo. boy, what a lot of food! i couldn't eat everything, but i did finish the delicious california roll. a full roll, and the chicken for $8?? what a bargain!

first time here. it was my first time at this spot and it was pretty good. i had thesushilunch that consisted of salmon, red tuna, white tuna, octopus, crab, and shrimp rolls. i ordered the cajun roll as well. service was ok due to a miscommunication of what i asked for and what was really ordered. i would come back

bestsushiin buffalo. i swear there's always someone complaining. don't pay any attention to the comment about the quality going down at sakura. i have been ordering from them since they opened and their food has been consistently fantastic. anything made with their spicy sauce is just that, spicy and not for the faint of heart. i've tried all the other places in buffalo; fuji, kumo, shogun and nothing compares to sakura.

used to be my favorite..... now, not so much. sakura used to be one of my favorite, if not the favorite, sushiplaces around, but after about a year of not going there, i was not impressed. i felt the quality of the food has gone down. i ordered the chicken teriyaki, and it said that it came with 'tempura vegetables'...it came with 2 pieces of tempura asparagus, an egg roll, and a friend hashbrown..you know, like you get at mcdonald's! not exactly what i was anticipating. also, there was only ginger ale or water as options for my 2 year old son. they should defintely look into a few more options.

unfortunately, i probably won't go back, and will continue to go to thesushirestaurant closer to my house. which is a shame, since i used to rave about them, and tell everyone to go there.

everything at sakurasushiwas incredible. the spicy kani tempura, the goyza (not vegetarian or pescetarian), the cheektowaga roll, philadelphia roll, yellow tuna roll, coppa mascarpone, and dream bomba was all absolutely amazing and out of this world. this local restaurant week experience is exactly what i love about this event: i found an incredible place, tried some amazing food i wouldn’t normally order, and enjoyed every little thing about it! the ambiance is perfect, the service was amazing, the food was fantastic, and i found 8 vegetarian rolls to come back and try.

bestsushiin hattiesburg. i have lived in hattiesburg for 19 years, but had never been to sakura until about a year ago. i will confess that previously i had never been a huge fan ofsushior sashimi, i didn't dislike, but i never had a craving for sushi. maybe i just pretended liked it because it was something relatively new to the south for most of my early years. recently, while back in town for a few weeks between semesters at um, my girlfriend and i were more or less forced into coming here by a friend, a friend to whom i now owe a thank you note. the food has been outstanding every single time. the soups taste fresh and homemade, a perfect combination of flavors that are perfect for beginning the meal. thesushimenu is extensive, and they have many options that are unfamiliar to the typical southerner, but the staff is knowledgeable and eager to guide you through the menu. my favorite is thesushidinner, the salmon roe is powerfully flavorful and mouth-filling but not overwhelming. the white fish is simple and fresh, an excellent way to begin your foray into raw fish. the yellow tail is my personal favorite, but the entire selection is outstanding. the tempura is also a favorite, especially since they incorporate some uncommon vegetables such as japanese pumpkin (they have a small garden out back). a bit pricey, but well worth it. give it a try.

still our favorite. took in a late lunch with the wife at sakura. we had not been in a long time and i am not even sure why...but we made up for it today. sakura was the first japanese restaurant in hattiesburg and it's still one of the best. thesushiand sashimi rolls are always fresh and well prepared. the tempura is consistent and done well. i've never had a disappointing meal at sukura and from what we had today, it's as good as ever.

ate their for lunch on a weekday. not very impressed, mediocre at best compared to othersushiplaces in town. menu for lunch was not adjustable in any way for me to add to or take away. waiter seemed to be in a hurry to do other things than serve me. the california roll was tiny compared to most i've had and the sashimi was 90% rice..... their are better places to eatsushiin hattiesburg honestly.
