best restaurant in buffalo. friends and i are addicted and have gone weekly for over a year now.lunchspecial with the joey (deep fried spicy tuna with lobster and avocado) appetizer and one of they're killer fusion rolls is a great deal. nothing compares.

hubby and i hadlunchhere a few days ago (on a week day). service was slow because there just wasn't enough employees for the number of customers in there. the gyoza soup was good but had no vegetables in it (my favorite japanese place puts vegetables in theirs and it's so much better). my green tea was not hot enough to brew properly, but the teapot was pretty lol! hubby had the teriyaki chickenlunchand i tasted the chicken - it was delicious! his meal was good overall from what he said.

first time here. it was my first time at this spot and it was pretty good. i had the sushilunchthat consisted of salmon, red tuna, white tuna, octopus, crab, and shrimp rolls. i ordered the cajun roll as well. service was ok due to a miscommunication of what i asked for and what was really ordered. i would come back

still our favorite. took in a latelunchwith the wife at sakura. we had not been in a long time and i am not even sure why...but we made up for it today. sakura was the first japanese restaurant in hattiesburg and it's still one of the best. the sushi and sashimi rolls are always fresh and well prepared. the tempura is consistent and done well. i've never had a disappointing meal at sukura and from what we had today, it's as good as ever.

ate their forlunchon a weekday. not very impressed, mediocre at best compared to other sushi places in town. menu forlunchwas not adjustable in any way for me to add to or take away. waiter seemed to be in a hurry to do other things than serve me. the california roll was tiny compared to most i've had and the sashimi was 90% rice..... their are better places to eat sushi in hattiesburg honestly.

first sushi place in town. this has always been my favorite place for sushi during college. i haven't been in about 6 months, so i gotlunchthere today. i can tell the quality has gone down some, but it was still overall good.
dynamite roll - this was always the best, but today it was ok.
baked salmon roll - the flavor was good and the size was more than enough.
squid salad - very good!

not my favorite sushi place in hattiesburg. i went there forlunchon a weekday and the service was pretty slow because of thelunchrush. seems like they need to hire more help. i got a sushi and gyozalunchbox which comes with orange slices, a few veggies, a bowl of white rice and a choice of salad or miso soup. the california roll was just ok, they must have been low on crab because they doubled up on the avacado and there was hardly any crabmeat. gyoza dumplings were great though. overall this place is ok, i don't really get what all the hype is about, ambiance is lacking. lighting is way too dark! i have given it 2 or 3 tries and am just not impressed. i still prefer sake cafe forlunchbox or little tokyo for sushi dinner.

my favorite restaurant ever. if you come here on half off sushi night expect a 45 min. wait..sorry,that is just the way it is!!! i promise if you order the dynamite sushi roll it is worth the wait!! it is by far the best sushi roll in town!!! i come here all the time,not only for hibachi, but also for lunch, just to sit in the beautiful tatami area (the only one i know of in toledo correct me if i am wrong) and to order a bento box(i like the beef teriyaki including soup salad and a california roll.) filled with yummy food. my boyfriend and i get a wonderfullunchhere for only 42 dollars including tip and tax w/a dynamite roll. if you love japan, and want a little taste of it,come here, ask for the tatami area, order a bento w/ green tea....i promise if you live in toledo its the best you are going to get!!!!

lunch. box.. sakura is my favorite japanese place hands down. it might be one of those "it feels like home" sort of things, or the fact that it's where my husband and i first went out to eat together.... but it is my favorite.

i'm not living in hattiesburg right now, and my goodness, i miss sakura. sundays are made for one of theirlunchboxes-- steamed gyoza and beef teriyaki... mmmm... glass of light plum wine. not to mention the sushi! the cindy roll is huge and ridiculous and delicious, and the dynamite roll is the stuff i dream of.

my family was one of the first customers at sakura years ago. having spent a few years in nyc and being exposed to some of the finest sushi restuaruants in the world i was deathly afraid to try any sushi in buffalo. i wasn't even sure the restuaraunts here even knew what sushi grade fish even was. we noticed the sign before they opened for business and went forlunchopening day. while i'm sure they were poised to make a good impression at the start, since that time many repeat visits... and other local sushi restuaraunts later... i've still confirmed that sakura maintains a friendly, well priced, upbeat, pleasant and relaxing atmosphere with the absolute best sushi available anywhere in western new york. in food quality sakuri rivals many of the finer straight sushi (non japanese fusion) establishments in nyc. the staff provides excellent service. the hostess is worderful with kids, my son loves sakura.. and he was made to feel very special by the hostess and staff at his birthday dinner here. food suggestions would include the marvelous mango roll, the sakura roll, and of course their addictive california rolls. i don't care how close or far away you are... if you want awesome sushi sakura cannot be outdone. hands down, bar none, the best sushi place in western new york.

love this place. huge portions of sushi, you will not leave hungry. bento boxes are also a greatlunchdeal. i've eaten here countless times and the food is consistently fresh and delicious.
