rim naam - the oberoi

4* star rating as the prices are a tad higher. i understand it's a high-end restaurant but have been to other such places and prices are relatively lower. had been there for my birthday. it has lovely ambience with cottage like structure above the water. the plants and trees surround the area with fishes in the water and it's beautiful. coming to food :
bangkok veg platter - 4.5/5. it had mock fish (soybean), garlic steamed tofu and king oyster mushroom's. the sauces for the mushroom was nice. everything else was decent
phad kee mao - 5/5 . beware, it's spicy but with good amount of veggies. taste was good
coconut influence - 4/5. a coconut based desert, 4* because of price vs portion.
the chutneys and sauces in the side were also good
also, it was my birthday so they provided a complimentary pastry which was good :).

the service, food, ambience - everything about rim naam is perfect. the portion sizes are good and the menu has options to choose from. all in all, the experience they provide is worth the money spent :)

rim nam is a beautiful place with soothing environment and calm music
their food was delicious and their portion size was very good too
their staff gave us the best service
i talked to the staff before i reach the place and said them that i was celebrating a special occasion
and i reminded them about it after reaching there too
they had promised to give a cake but apparently they forgot to do so.
that was the only sad part.

other than that i had a lovely experience and would love to visit again

this is a great place to have a quiet lunch on weekday. the service is exceptionally good and food is amazing. would definitely recommend.

extremely underwhelming. flavours were hardly authentic. all dishes lacked balance. anyone who has been to thailand will attest to the fact that the food doesn’t match even the local eateries there. while the setting is fantastic and service is warm, it can’t be great place to dine if the flavours are not up to the mark. typical oberoi experience - opulent yet hollow.

we had initially reached the bar 6pm and had asked the staff there to make a reservation in rim naam for 7.15pm. we had an infant with us. the staff at the bar confirmed the reservation and then we went to rim naam to dine there and to our surprise they informed us that the restaurant was full and our name was not listed in the reservation. we told them that we had informed the bar staff and they had confirmed it. all of this was happening while we could clearly see that half the restaurant was empty. then we had to go back running to the bar and catch hold of the waiter and make him speak to the restaurant staff and the whole ordeal took us 30 extra minutes. now we were tired waiting with the baby. after our meal we paid in cash and were due to receive rs.670 in change. however the waiter returned 500 saying that there was no change available. does this the behavior suit a 5 star chain ? it utter disdain we left the restaurant and vowed to never return again

garden restaurant with very good ambience.

definitely the best home made ginger ale i’ve ever had anywhere in the world!!

the red wine sangria is okayish - not that good actually.

tom kha soup - really good, but it has mushrooms so ask for it without the mushrooms if you don’t care for them.

papaya salad - pretty good.
jasmine rice and thai green curry chicken - decent, but i’ve had better.

extremely disappointing this time around! food was way too sweet, even for thai cuisine...inspite of repeatedly asking for food to be prepared with little sweetness it was below standards.

right about the time india celebrates its various avatars of sangkranti, thailand celebrates songkran. songkran is a harvest festival marking the beginning of the traditional thai new year. and as is the case with most festivals, feasts come as a synonymous part of the celebrations. we were invited to rim naam, at the oberoi bengaluru by pinky, to experience the songkran menu curated by none other than award winning chef tam.

the food was lovely and so was the service. i was slightly disappointed that i had reserved and requested for a table by the water for three people as it was my mom's birthday but i failed to get one.
the food and the complimentary pastry was phenomenal.

ok so this place scores really high on it's ambience and amongst-nature feel as already raved about. what was pretty impressive as well was the portion they serve. unlike most 5-star and fine dining places, they do serve good quantity along with the quality. polite staff and delectable asian and thai flavored cuisine make this place a must try one.

if you like thai food is a must... yummy seafood, pad thai, curries etc. and the atmosphere amazing... beautiful surroundings and so nice service. my to go place for celebrating important moments...

excellent ambience and service!

this heaven has its own charm due to its super romantic and beautiful ambience. however it is little gloomy and it's real beauty is little suppressed in the night but is still quite pleasant. on request we got a nice corner from where we were able to see lotus plantation and decor of the entire restaurant. we ordered clear soup, mushroom salad, rice noodles and green curry with thai chili paste and all of it was amazingly presented and cooked. last but not least their service was noteworthy where they were giving us our personal space but at the same time always available when required. i will surely recommend it to everyone :))

well, i went to this place on a date. little late to provide a review, but better late than never. the seating is amidst the nature and the ambiance is quiet romantic. the staff is extremely courteous. the quantity is just right unlike the usual high end places. its away from the hustle bustle of the city and quiet pleasant to spend the evening with family or a date.
