one of the loveliest places in bangalore, i absolutely love the ambience. thai food is my favorite and this restaurant does great justice to it. i don’t quite remember the name of the dish but the fried chicken is wrapped in a leaf, that is one of the best things i’ve ever eaten. the thai green curry with rice again is delicious. perfect place for a romantic dinner!

tldr- best thai restaurant in bangalore!

rim naam is as close as it gets to authentic thai food in bangalore.

they claim to import most of their ingredients from thailand and that is clearly evident in the dishes since you get a clear taste of kafir lime, thai basil, galangal, lemon grass and thai chillis.

curries, pad thai, papaya salad, tom kha soup all spot on 10/10

service and ambience 10/10

i loved the experience at this place. truly one of the best thai / asian restaurants. lovely ambience , with an artificial lake around, this place is a quaint find within the oberoi hotel as well. staff is courteous and accommodating! two cheers to the manager who accommodated with us on change in meat for our main course and served us complementary ice cream on our visit. loved the food here , specially the raw papaya salad.

will definitely visit again! must haves : raw papaya salad , prawns in oyester sauce , coconut ice cream.

if you are looking for a place with great ambience, service and want to try some thai food, it is rim naam. it’s beautiful place for a date, romantic dinner with light music. the service is definitely up to the oberoi standards.

i would say one of the places to try in mg road. do try the som tam, a raw papaya salad which is a authentic thai salad

outstanding ambience with a open to the sides gazebo style setting in the middle of a water body. the service was very good, up to the oberoi standards. we started with cocktails, and their rim naam cocktails are really innovative ... we loved them. for starters we had the crispy potatoes and black pepper chicken. both dishes were rich in flavours and ver satisfying. for main course we just had pad thai which was also very nice. overall a very pleasant experience.

one of the most romantic places i have ever visited. their ambiance is spot on. after all it's the oberois. i had visited this place with my wife on my birthday so it was a special night. coming to food, we had ordered a 2 course meal as for dessert we were offered a complimentary cake for the occasion. in drinks we ordered some red wine and sangria. for starters we ordered poh taek (seafood clear soup) & veg tom yam soup. we absolutely loved our soups. coming to main course we ordered veg pad thai noodles & thai red pork curry with jasmine rice. the food was great however i do have a complain with the the quantity of the pork in the curry. for a meat lover, its kind of a turn down. nonetheless we both had a great dining experience and an absolutely great night.

well, this is overall a good experience, nice ambience, the artifical cave (a very small walk through it though) can add to the excitement.
the food is overall okay, not the best of thai that you can find anywhere in thailand, the freshness of the ingredients is missing (along with maybe some ingredients too, like kafir lime leaves were not used in the tom yam soup)this place is expensive, for the two of us it was 7500 for a tom yam, one stir fried prawns, steamed snapper, jasmine rice, one bira and one glass of chandon rose...
i would still rate the local thai food better in taste....
but the service is amazing, thanks for the guys serving us and also additional effort from the cook, it was a memorable evening....

it's the best place, very romantic and beautiful. we had gone there to celebrate my wife's birthday. we had made the reservation at 9 but had to wait some time for our table but it's worth the wait.
staff's were courteous and friendly and the food was amazing.
they even suprised us with the birthday cake.
they even complimented us with two glass of sparkling wine for making us wait.
overall we enjoyed every bit of the evening.

thank you rim naam.

when lots of options wavering your mind around mg road, this is something you should hop into, rimnaam.
the name itself gives vibes of something great. if you want to have a romantic date, you should be here. if you want to cherish your special day forever, you should be here. if you love to enjoy calmness, you should be here. if you want to feel each moment, you should be here.
being pure vegetarian i have tried
som tam, tom kha, tao hoo phad krapao and few to name. for non vegetarians (as per my friend's recommendations) 'kaeng phed pad yang' is something to try out. it's as spicy as you love, it's as aromatic as you feel the white beauty into red curry.
i must say rim naam is oberoi's one of the best signature class creation!

a legendary address in bangalore, rim naam has certainly stood the test of time thanks to good food, good service and great ambiance. once you are seated here, it's like you are shut off from the chaos that's trinity circle/mg road right outside!

my latest meal comprised of tom yam soup, kuey teow kai ro moo ro tofu soup, som tam salad, phad kee mao noodles & kao phad fried rice. authentic thai/east asian cuisine is admittedly not my favourite, but this restaurant manages to wow me. the phad kee mao was the best of the lot, marred a bit by too much black pepper (for me). the som tam was good as well, spicy, sweet and tangy at the same time.

ultimately, a meal at rim naam is more than just the food. the ambiance makes it a perfect place to spend the evening with loved ones, or a lazy afternoon indulging in some delicious food. the service is very courteous, but slow when the tables start to fill. the phone is not answered on a few occassions as well. maybe more wait staff could address this. this is nitpicking at best, for rim naam is a signature bangalore experience that fans of luxury dining, nature and oriental cuisine just cannot miss!

rim naam is one of my favorite restaurants. everything is excellent, be it food, ambiance or service. being vegetarian i cannot comment about sea food & other non-veg dishes. but veg dishes that i have had here have been excellent, be it potato samros or sauteed mashrooms. but my favorite dish is tom kha soup [veg].. as most of the ingredients are sourced from thailand. the fare is quite expensive. but the experience is really worth every dime..

what an amazing experience for lunch. there is so many trees and small pond of water where you will have fishes and then somewhere in between you will have this restaurant. absolutely gem of view . food was amazing, and worth it . amazing fried rice. wish i could spent little more time but by being there means your pocket will loose some money, on an expensive side and i really feel that if it is little less expensive i will go there more than occasionally 🥂 :) 4.5 out of 5
