rim nam is a beautifulplacewith soothing environment and calm music
their food was delicious and their portion size was very good too
their staff gave us the best service
i talked to the staff before i reach theplaceand said them that i was celebrating a special occasion
and i reminded them about it after reaching there too
they had promised to give a cake but apparently they forgot to do so.
that was the only sad part.

other than that i had a lovely experience and would love to visit again

extremely underwhelming. flavours were hardly authentic. all dishes lacked balance. anyone who has been to thailand will attest to the fact that the food doesn’t match even the local eateries there. while the setting is fantastic and service is warm, it can’t be greatplaceto dine if the flavours are not up to the mark. typical oberoi experience - opulent yet hollow.

ok so thisplacescores really high on it's ambience and amongst-nature feel as already raved about. what was pretty impressive as well was the portion they serve. unlike most 5-star and fine dining places, they do serve good quantity along with the quality. polite staff and delectable asian and thai flavored cuisine make thisplacea must try one.

well, i went to thisplaceon a date. little late to provide a review, but better late than never. the seating is amidst the nature and the ambiance is quiet romantic. the staff is extremely courteous. the quantity is just right unlike the usual high end places. its away from the hustle bustle of the city and quiet pleasant to spend the evening with family or a date.

rim naam - a hidden gem within the oberoi hotel bangalore. when i say gem i am seriously only talking about its location, decor and ambience. beautifully set up within the gardens that have an artificial pond with fish, bamboo trees, palm trees et al. one certainly must make a booking before dropping by as theplaceis decently busy both with inhouse and visiting guests.

when you walk into such aplaceyou expect old world hospitality which has always boasted of immaculate ambience, best of service and outstanding food. but unfortunately we experienced run down ambience, slow and unattentive service and very average food,

so as we walk in we were seated to a very nice table. the table was so wobbly that everytime i picked my glass up to drink water it would come up like a sea saw.. the table was not yet set up after the previous guests had left. so we were given the cutlery and glassware after we sat down. and this is when only about 20% of the restaurant was occupied. the glasses that were brought for us had lint - which tells me the cloth used to polish the glassware is really old and must be retired. it even had water marks .the cutlery was not even polished properly and is obviously old and run down full of scratches. we literally had to wave our hands to attract attention of a server for water. after about 10 mins we finally got water that was at ambient temperature. this happened all night long. we must have carried our own water. couple of times we also got cold water but the consentation on the jug was dripping all over theplacewhile the waiter was pouring. whatever happened to our old friend - the waiter's cloth.

tom yum soup and tom kha soup had oil floating on top and were pretty avg. no distinct flavour of galangal or lemon grass and a typical kick of thai chillies definitely lacked in tom yum.

for main course we had phad med mamung i.e. stir fried chicken with dry red chilly and cashew nuts and
koong phad prik horm sab i.e. deep fried prawns with chilly onion garlic in tamarind sauce, chicken pad thai
chicken pineapple rice. i am a firm beliver that you experience a meal with your eyes first and then the taste comes into picture. well they lost the plot in the visuals itself. both prawns and chicken looked exactly the same. they were so alike that even the server served prawns to the entire table saying its chicken. plus all four dishes were brought from the kitchen on the same plates as the dinner plates given to guests. just like a road side dhaba you eat and get served on the same plates. in today's evolved dining scene i don't think that acceptable. the chicken lacked the flavour of dry red chillies and the prawns were just bad. chicken pineapple rice was exact same fried rice with garam masala that we toss in our home kitchens out of leftover steamed rice for evening snacks. pad thai are traditionally road side noodles but don't think that they mean indian-chinese road side noodles. the food i am sorry but was a total disaster.

the saving grace was complimentary waterchestnut in cream. seemed like fruit cream with all exotic fruits from thailand. i think the manager relaized the shortcomings hence gave us complimentary desserts.

its only because this restaurant is sheltered by the oberoi name that it enjoys such gentry flocking it. if only thisplacewas located outside the hotel where the competition is stiff they would have realized the difference in them and an actual good restaurant.

this is one of the best places in bangalore to have authentic thai food. the wholeplacegives off thai village vibes with the wooden roofs and flooring, the fountain in the backdrop, the beautiful gardens and the cave-way entrance is just so thrilling. theplaceis beautiful beyond words and the food is drool-worthy. we had some classic thai dishes like phad thai, som tam, some jasmine rice and duck roast. it was a beautiful experience and totally worth the cost. thankyou rim naam.

thisplaceserves some of the best food in the city. it's a must visit if you don't mind spending double or more of what you would at any other fine dine restaurant. i ordered the thai corn cakes which were excellent. for mains, it was thai flat noodles with some veg stir fry that was customised to my taste. both were excellent. the dessert that made with water chestnut and coconut milk was not to my liking but they got us cheesecake with some ice cream which was good. great ambience too.

i would definitely recommend thisplacefor some authentic thai food .but don’t forget to mention that you want it for a regular indian palette otherwise the food will end being very spicy .the pad mee noodles is something i would recommend and some thai green curry .

totally ruined my birthday with the poor reservation management.
we took the reservation 4 days back for 4th december, however on the day when we called to confirm the exact time, we were told the reservation doesn't exist and they can't arrange for a table inside the restaurant. we couldn't find any decentplacein such short notice and the evening was completely wasted.
it's so pathetic that these guys can't even manage to take the reservation properly. and even if the reservation was messed up, the least you could have done was accommodate because it was no fault of ours and i ended up wasting my evening, which i were so excited for.

i went to rim naam on 6th november 2021 on a dinner date with my wife and it was totally worth it.

this restaurant not only lives upto its ratings and hype but it exceeds it. the service provided was flawless, the view was breathtaking and the food was delicious.

we mostly had chicken based dishes that included of couple of starters and then flat noodles alongside chicken in thai curry and jasmine rice. we finished with the rim naam mandarin dessert.
everything was lip smacking, however, if i have to be extra critical, the virgin mojito could have been a little better.

also, special kudos to mr. sidharth who made our visit extra special and his service and recommendations were just amazing.

overall, if anyplaceis worth paying the extra bucks for, its rim naam.

we went to rim naam on a saturday night and theplacewas quite full. we had made a prior reservation. to start off we had the pastry wrapped prawns and tom yum soup. the pastry wrapped prawns were excellent and unique. the prawns were fresh. the tom yum soup was a warm bowl of comfort food that one would seek on a rainy day in bangalore. for main course, we tried the thai chicken green curry and pork belly. the thai curry used all the right ingredients (including thai eggplant). the pork belly was very well cooked. for dessert, we had rim naam mandarin which was the best dessert i have eaten in a very long time. a bite into it created a whole explosion of flavours in my mouth. beautiful tempered chocolate enclosed a filling of dark chocolate mousse with a centre of orange pulp. theplacehas a beautiful ambience. this is definitely one of the best thai places in bangalore and worth the price. portion sizes are good enough for 2 people. a must visitplacefor all thai food lovers
