good beer, average food. redrockis a nice place to end a ski day. a professional beer tasting friend told me she prefers squatters but i have always found the redrockbeer to be good. the food is typical brew pub food, filling and good enough but not great. however there are some highlights, e.g. the tuna sandwich served in a pita like wrapper (a recent special).

good beer, good food, good times!!. in the endless battle over best brew pub behind the zion curtain i've long been a squatters' brew pub advocate. over time i've begun to hone my palate toward a menu of mid level sophisticated food without the air of pretentiousness.

redrockis a solid bet. from their oatmeal stout to the simple splendor of the redrockburger, all the way to mimosa's and egg's in purgatory for a sunday brunch you wont find a better brew pub in salt lake.

visiting redrockis like stepping through a portal from salt lake to seattle. a great brew pub with a solid menu and a beer line up few could match. a trip to the covered patio to enjoy to evening air, or a large party filling the rear of the restaurant with a view of the brewing process redrockis a great experience.

i had the chicken sandwich at redrockand it was fantastic. the service was good and the staff was very friendly. i also had their onion rings and my wife had the french onion soup. both of which she let me take a bite of and they were delicious. i also had their in-house root beer and i really enjoyed it. you will especially enjoy the in-house root beer if you like your root beer with a slightly stronger vanilla and sarsaparilla flavor. overall this is a fantastic date night restaurant.

decided to do a brewery night while in slc. we picked redrockdue to the reviews. upon arriving we were greeted right away. we decided to sit at the bar, no other reason than we prefer to sit there. the restaurant was lively. the bartenders were very knowledgeable about the beer and when we ordered a beer we had never had before one suggested we try it first since it apparently was a tart beer. we were glad to have tried a taste as it was not something we cared for. there were plenty of beers to choose from and we had several very good ones.

i highly recommend getting the bruschetta. i've never had a combo like red rock's but it was delicious. goat cheese, tomatoes and basil, and roasted garlic all were great on the bread alone or in various combos.

we ordered the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and the shrimp dinner with fries and slaw. both were flavorful. the portions were good size for the price.

we would definitely suggest this as a great place for beer and foods. a nice way to spend an evening in salt lake city.

fun brewpub, with tasty beer, in the heart of salt lake city. redrockhas a great menu of diverse options ranging from pizza, salads, sandwiches and pub entrées. we shared the warm cheese spread with beer bread and i devoured a refreshing spinach salad loaded with shrimp, gorgonzola, pistachios and grapefruit. the server was attentive and i enjoyed the atmosphere.

road trip. stopped in salt lake after 12 hour drive, found this nice brewery on the spoon. i had the redrockburger and it was delicious. instead of a bun it came in a a pita type bread. thought it was great because it didn't fall apart our drip everywhere. my wife had the sweet potato connolli and it was amazing along with the ipa.

a staple of the downtown salt lake city dining scene since 1994 – in local terms, redrockis an elder statesman of sorts. now comprising three locations, the original, dowotnw location is still my favorite. and one of my favorite dishes? the pictured fish and chips. a good fish and chips starts with a great batter and just look at the golden brown fish above. redrockhas never disappointed me with their explosively crunchy, beer battered battered fish – not greasy in the slightest. their fries are of the thicker cut steakhouse variety and opinion will vary. coleslaw rounds out the dish and yes, you can get malt vinegar too! the dish is also offered with cod ($14.99) or halibut ($19.99). redrockbrewing company 254 s 200 w salt lake city, ut 84101 (801) 521-7446 www.redrockbrewing.com we are rated best in slc!

common courtesy much?!. i have visited this pub many times over the past couple of years. mostly for friends large parties or to grab a beer. although i have never been impressed with the food i reluctantly called to inquire about making a reservation for a large party, i was helped by a girl who was very nice but used "um" every other word, but was assured i would hear back from a manager within one day. after three days went by i called back to see if anyone had received my message. the deep voiced dude was not only arrogant but informed me that the reason i didn't hear back was because they do not make reservations that far out. he also informed me that he should have better trained his hostess to state that from the beggining. maybe a 60 second phone call to me wouldnt have hurt the business of losing a large party to redrockbrewing down the road. always great food and service. not to mention common courtesy when it comes to customer service.

fair food, fun atmosphere. i have been to redrocka few times over the years and the food is always good, but never anything truly spectacular. the french onion soup and sandwich i ordered today for lunch were okay-- excellent toasted bread pocket but the meat was a bit dry. their entrees can get up into the high teens, and it doesn't quite seem like the quality of the food warrants such prices. especially when poplar is right next door with much more exciting food ...

redrockbrewing company has 3 locations in utah and we visited the salt lake restaurant. we went with our friends jennifer and marcel after our fun filled day{link} at boondocks. our wait time wasn't too horrible even though it was super crowded, but hey, that's a good sign, right? we were seated at a table by the door so each time it opened we were blasted with cold air. i shivered through dinner. and my chair was right below the table above us pretty much putting my hair in their food...but really, it was fine, seating just wasn't great. i think our waitress was new as she hadn't tried much on the menu and wasn't able to give us any suggestions, it happens. husband - spicy italian sausage grinder me - cod fish and chips andrew said i need more variety. i have eaten fish and chips at pretty much every restaurant we have eaten at lately, maybe it's becoming a favorite food? i had no complaints about my meal and andrew had just one: his sandwich was just a little bit dry. i really shou

redrockhas a fun ambience. but when every entree is in the double digits i expect a bit more detail to the food. i had the vegetarian roulad, and though enjoyable, lacked the spices necessary to pull off a dish like that. pepper, salt and s ton of lemon added by me made it ten times better. i could think of about six herbs that should be in any kitchen that could have made the dish. it was simply s little sloppy. the feel of the place is good though. they are open late, it was lively but not too loud for good conversation, and the servers were amiable. i would easily go again if the prices were less... or if someone else was paying.

the redrockburger is a different kind of burger. the pouch is a unique and new concept to me. it could've had a little more seasoning in the burger meat, but it still had a good taste.

really. love redrockbrewing however i have a real problem with paying $7.00 for craft mac and cheese for the kids. i don't know if they are trying to discourage kids and families from coming with their over priced kids garbage menu....love the food and brew but i can find that else where if they don't want my business they can keep this up.
