the food here is great! the jalapeño cornbread & rib sampler (hot asian, chocolate & regular)baby back ribs are a must! the homemade keylime pie just tipped it all off.

great place. texas style brisket that has that good red smoke ring. thin red vinegar sauce is supreme. platter comes with fries and coleslaw and cornbread. coleslaw is sweet and creamy. cornbread is moist and slightly sweet. fried fish/shrimp platter is substantial with 1 piece of fish but 10 medium shrimp. flavor good. onion stack was fantastic; not greasy at all and with a great dipping sauce. only odd thing was for happy hour priced cocktails, you had to order at the bar. very strange.

chocolate ribs, cornbread, haystack burger. the chocolate ribs sound weird but they're good! it's a nice switch up from bbq. definitely worth a try. i'm not sure it's more like a cocoa rub.... but innovative! everyone loved them. the cornbread was decided to be the "best everyone had ever had". and the haystack burger keeps me coming back whenever we're in hhi. also, my brother stated it is "definitely one of the best burgers i've had in my life". no one wanted to go with me and everyone loved it.

long wait; great food. this is was one of the better restaurants we encountered while in hilton head, but don't be tempted to order the steak. it was okay, but every one who had burgers, bbq, and ribs raved about their meal for days -- this is a restaurant where they excel in this sort of thing, not steak.

the service was awesome.

good not great. this was our first visit and it was ok. the kids had the ribs which they thought were good. even the half rack is a lot to finish. the pulled pork is good and the shrimp taco app was very good. we sat outside which was a challenge with all the flies but the weather was good and preferable to the inside which was dark and over-air conditioned. not sure we would come back but might try another rib place on our next visit.

disappointed in this food network star's grille. this grille lacks any real sense of style and direction. most importantly the food is less than average. we were very disappointed to say the least. service was slow and uninformed about the beer offerings and the menu. the pork sandwich, their #1 seller, was bland (even with the signature sauces). it had no smoke flavor at all and the bread was hard and "store bought". the fries tasted like they came from a bag. nothing seemed fresh here. we will say the shrimp was good, although it looked like a chicken nugget. and, the beer was cold. thank goodness it wasn't expensive!

great. we had to wait almost an hour, but the food was well worth it!

food was, "okay". waiter was great. kids are welcome and were treated well.

one of the best lunch values on the island. pulled pork is lean with lots of flavor, sides tast homemade. friendly servers and a food network star in the making!

avoid this place. we were attracted to this place because of the menu offerings. we arrived at 6pm on a thurs night with 6 adults and a 2 year old. we put our name on the list and were told there was a 30 min wait. we waited in the courtyard as the weather was wonderful and there was no space to wait inside. we were seated after 40 min. they put us in a booth. 3 adults on each side and a high chair at the end. we were cramped to say the least. we did not get any silverware. the waitress appeared 10 min later and advised there was no pulled pork. ok, so we all ordered brisket (sliders, plate, and sandwich). 45 min after that the waitress came back and advised they only had enough brisket for some of our order. now i was on my 3rd choice - pulled chicken. the food was mediocre at best. it was cold on top of that. the fries were awful. the manager did stop by but never apologized. we received half off our bill but that was it. 2 hours in a horrible restaurant really dampened our vacation. please do not waste your time here. the employees are rude and it is not well managed. you simply cannot run out of your most popular item before 7pm!!!

good food, kid friendly. if your looking for a good meal check it out. they do get busy so try to make it early, but it is worth the wait.

fun, great, kid friendly place- thats definitely not for uptight, no-scence of humor people. my new love!!!!!!! this place is sort of small but with a great menu thats has soo much to offer,fun-casual atmosphere, great fun-funny service and outstanding food!! and not only bbq.. despite all other reviews we went there for lunch and absolutely had to go back for dinner.. the food was delicious.. fall off the bone ribs, moist- great tasting pulled pork and very tender brisket with a great juice to it!!! all of there sides are home made with a great taste of the south.. for the quality and portions of there food the price was almost unbelievable.. dinner time prices range any where from $9-22($22 being the most expensive plate on the dinner menu) there lunch prices range any where from $5.99-$13.. this place is a definite must try without a doubt.. we visited this restaurant at least 4 times a week out of our two week stay and practically became "regulars".. due to there awesome dinner specials and the capacity of this place, waits are expected but definitely worth it.. we definitely couldn't stay away this will be a place we visit every time we vacation on hhi..
