this is a bbq restaurant with smoking wood stacked outside. this is the best way to judge a bbq restaurant you have not visited before. the ribs, pulledporkand brisket we had was all good. tasty cole slaw, smashed potatoes and fried okra. the service was excellent as well.

food is amazing"!. ok so maybe the service could use some work but the food more than makes up for it. we come here every year on vacation and find ourselves sneaking in to this place 1,2,3 times in a week. it is that good. we have never tried theporkbecause the friend chicken - especially the kids - is soooooooooo good. the ribs are great and sometimes we just get the burger because it is well.....awesome! so many southern places are nothing but grease and salt, but not this. hghly recommend.

best pulledporki've had in a long time. service was good. they were very accommodating of our family of 4, especially considering we had a very, very sleepy preschooler and crabby infant. cornbread was amazing.

excellent customer service! food was delicious...ribs were outstanding, burger was delicious, andporksandwich was great! this will be a regular for us on future trips to hilton head.

came in based on a recommendation for good food, a chill atmosphere and good service. the brisket plate provided ample portions, although the slaw was so-so, but the fries were solid. the south in your mouth salad provided a great dressing, delicious bacon and pulledporkas toppers. the server was amiable and offered insight into hhi and the menu.

bring e'rybody!. just ate here for dinner and it was amazing! we had to wait an hour, but we had read the reviews and decided this is where we were going to eat. i got a combo- smoked fried chicken and smoked brisket, both of which i must say were the best i've ever eaten. the only thing that wasn't super great was the fries, but i was actually glad because i had so much to eat i couldn't eat them anyways. my wife got the pulledporkand she liked hers well. the bite i had wasn't blow-me-away like the chicken and brisket, but it was still really good. definitely going back- it sounds like their wings are also amazing.

we actually came here twice, the first time was for their brunch buffet which was just a teaser of good things to come.  i’ll focus on our dinner for this writing. originally we wanted to order 2 of the best bbq combos and try each of the pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, rib tips, and smoked fried chicken.  unfortunately they were out of the rib tips, which is a popular item, so we got the pulledporkand brisket together and an order of the baby back ribs with the smoked fried chi

went here for the sunday brunch, great all you can eat buffet for $10, omlets made to order, classic breakfast items, pulledporkwas excellent. for a different treat try the big daddy sandwhich. great pick!

been there twice, very satisfied both times with food and service. ordered pulledporkand brisket tonight, both were excellent. one of my best meals.

rib tips are delicious!. the pulledporkhas a more vinegary flavor than others we've tried in hhi, but very delicious. i've never tried rib tips before but both my husband and i loved them! nice bears on tap!

we loved every single dish we ordered. steak, fried shrimp, boneless wings, brisket, pulledpork, ribs, mac and cheese, peach cobbler, lava cake. everything was amazing. there service wasn't spectacular but it was good. and in reference to the reviewer who stated that you could watch menu urinate through a window in the men's room, this is absolutely not the case. there is a small two way mirror in the men's room that allows you to look out to the dining room but from the dining room it appears to be a mirror and you cannot see in.

great experience. ribs, wings, pulledporkand desserts were great. all three sauces were good, especially the mustard and vinegar sauces.

be sure to eat here. we have been coming to the island for ~ 15 years. we ate here for the first time tonight. the food was great. the ribs were the best we have ever eaten & we are from tn. cornbread was great, wings made me want more, shrimp taco was great, burger was great, pulledporksand was great. kettle chips were good & fried okra was very good in buttermilk batter. nice drink specials. we will be back! they are open for lunch & have daily specials. tonight it was a smoked/fried chicken. chicken is smoked for a very long time then battered in buttermilk/flour & deep fried. yummy sounding huh? it is off season so we got right in & were served promptly by a very patient/friendly waiter as i tried to decide what i really wanted to eat--there are a lot good choices. we were sent here by some trusted locals that eat there 2 x week. i am ever greatful for their direction. reilley's is right next door which sounded good but, i am glad we went in here instead. atmosphere is really relaxed & family friendly

get the pork. brisket was extremely tender, but had almost no taste. ribs were pretty good, but pulledporkwas outstanding. service was ok at best. being a texas bbq bigot, i'd come back.

good not great. this was our first visit and it was ok. the kids had the ribs which they thought were good. even the half rack is a lot to finish. the pulledporkis good and the shrimp taco app was very good. we sat outside which was a challenge with all the flies but the weather was good and preferable to the inside which was dark and over-air conditioned. not sure we would come back but might try another rib place on our next visit.
