one hot mama's american grill

this is abbqrestaurant with smoking wood stacked outside. this is the best way to judge abbqrestaurant you have not visited before. the ribs, pulled pork and brisket we had was all good. tasty cole slaw, smashed potatoes and fried okra. the service was excellent as well.

still licking fingers. where to begin its all amazing the server was quick attentive and knew the menu inside and out from both a what's what perspective and the more important personal knowledge of how each dish tasted. the decore was nice, very vibrant and bold, hard to place exactly how it feels but it works wonderfully. from the management perspective it was easy to see who was running the place, its fantastic to see the effort to help that i saw tonight planing how flow was to go and keeping communication active to all the servers.

now for the most important part the food, presentation wasn't fancy which was good it felt like a good, overflowing plate of good food which it was. the table had chicken ribs and a shrimp taco. the ribs were soft enough that when i tried to cut the first one to pick it up the fork come out with a chunk of beautifully cooked pork. a nice thin crust provided the smoky and richbbqflavour lying in wait under a sweatbbqsauce. the chicken was what i always imagined southern fried chicken, i cant explain how good this is other than i was picking at the coating for 10 min after i was "full". the taco was great, spicy with a little sweet twist and was very fresh.

i will recommend this openly to friends relatives and complete strangers while im down here. i will be in this area for the next month, i might actually try and finish this menu before i leave.

this place is a must go. i ordered thebbqsampler. excellant! the fried oakra i had as a side was probably the best ive ever had.

we actually came here twice, the first time was for their brunch buffet which was just a teaser of good things to come.  i’ll focus on our dinner for this writing. originally we wanted to order 2 of the bestbbqcombos and try each of the pulled pork, sliced beef brisket, rib tips, and smoked fried chicken.  unfortunately they were out of the rib tips, which is a popular item, so we got the pulled pork and brisket together and an order of the baby back ribs with the smoked fried chi

great food. i have never heard ofbbqfried chicken however it was great and so was the fried shrimp. the service kinda lacked though.

enjoyed the food, we hadbbqchicken, fried chicken (unique flavor b/c they smoke it 1st), brisket & some sides. very good mac n cheese! was looking forward to some carolina stylebbqsauce since my husband & i are not from here, but honestly the sauce was like pure vinegar & runny. the mustard base sauce was the same, just mustard & runny. we did enjoy the sweet sauce though. would go back if on another vaca here.

i live in a town with not alot of options for real bbq. i was excited to have some at ohm. i was not disappointed. i had thebbqhalf chicken. it was fall off the none tender and perfectly seasoned. the sauce was so good i bought some to take home.

hot is right. the hot crab dip is amazing. the mama' special cobb salad is my favorite! thebbqis off the chain. this restaurant is hot and is a must for a meal sometime!!!

our waitress, ashley, is without question the best at ohm. and the food here is fabulous. you will not get betterbbqribs anywhere! thanks ohm and thanks ashley for making this evening a very good one. hope to see you next time.

good bbq. we go to one hot mama’s for lunch occasionally. ohm is located in the “barmuda” triangle with reilleys, the lodge, and the brew pub. at lunch time, the area is fine for families but it is very different at night and often exuberant bar goers make headlines in the local news! i usually have bbq. theirbbqsauce is very good! there is plenty of outdoor seating, which we like because we can bring our dog.

excellent service and value. possibly best smokedbbqchicken i've ever had.

very good food - not so good service. great lunch specials. the restaurant was very reasonable. this is one of those places that most of the menu looks amazing. while there, i tried three differentbbqsauces. i preferred the mustard based. the one thing i will say is that the service was not good. if the owner/manager reads this post (i would read all spoon posts of my restaurant) they should get their staff in order. they spent a good deal of the time i was there hanging out and chatting and not helping the patrons. usually, i do not give an experience with poor service a good review. but since the food was so good, i decided to go ahead anyway. yum!

good points and bad points. i tried the chocolatebbqribs on a whim, and while i enjoyed the dimension that chocolate added to the sauce, i felt it tasted rather flat. not overwhelmingly chocolatey, not like i had hershey's syrup poured over the ribs, but just missing that usual spicy or vinegary punch most good ribs have. my citrus pecan salad was abysmal- lettuce was wilted and blackening on the edges, strawberries were overripe bordering on spoiled, and the dressing was waaay too sweet. i did enjoy the jalapeno honey corn bread- wasn't very spicy or too big, which was nice. the slaw was pretty much shredded cabbage and carrots- very little flavor or dressing to hold it together. i'm sure kids like it, so probably a good choice for families, but i could steer clear next time and not be upset.

very flavorful food!. made 2 trips here during our week stay. anxious to try more items on the menu! we have tried the wings. the hot asian are the best me and my wife have ever ate!! and we are both big wing fans. we also tried the brisket. outstanding!! and last but not least , the ribs .... ohhhhh the ribs. mouthwatering!! and the flavor of thebbqsauce is perfect! this will be a definite stop from now on every trip to hh from now on! and the prices are very reasonable!
