this has got to be one of the best breakfasts / brunch / lunch spots in joburg!

the restaurant is situated on wits campus but feels like you are sitting at a beautiful restaurant in cape town. the food is absolutely delicious, presented beautifully and well priced !!! we came here for breakfast today and ordered the soufflé omelette and paw paw nest. both were delicious and the presentation was lovely!

what an amazing find. this is one of those best kept secrets. delicious well presented food, beautiful decor, a choice of garden or indoor with spacious comfortable seating and excellent service. a wide variety of greek menu with a twist which is very unusual as i love greek food but its generally similar wherever you go. call in advance to book and as you go through the boom at wits entrance turn right immediately or youll be driving around the whole campus perimeter to get there. the setting is huge trees in a historical cape dutch house garden.

dropped by on a saturdys for a date lunch and was very impressed. amazing seating outside even on a cool winters day! food is fablous and attention to the smallest detail is given. prawn pasta is a must!

when i was a student here last year, this place used to be the place we used to celebrate end of exams. this restaurant is based in the university, but we used to share one plate for all 5 of us, cause we were all students and it was super pricey. but it was worth it. especially their deserts- yummy!

never knew there would be such a gem that exists on wits campus ! this place is very fancy, the service is great and so is the food ! a slice of cake is a must have after your meal ! there’s a huge variety of cakes, which makes it very difficult to choose as they all look so delicious!

olives & plates is a little gem at wits in braamfontein. their menu has a variety of interesting dishes for breakfast and lunch. the food is nicely presented and very tasty!

i was immensely disappointed with my outing at this place. i had booked my table well in advanced. after the food came to our table, one of the managers loudly announced that we need to leave the table. there after the waiter had indicated that we need to move while eating our lunch. then the customer intervened that she did not mind us being seated near her seating area. on the topic of the food, it was simple utterly bland. the the avocado with pasta had black marks. more so i ordered a second drink, which the waiter conveniently forgotten. this might have been a great place once, but the service is disrespectful and the quality of their food has deteriorated.

wonderful experience, beautiful setting and amazing food all round. dessert is amazing, huge selection of food and reasonably priced in comparison to other greek outlets. food prepared to perfection. love, love, love - new favorite restaurant

we had an incredible experience here this morning. the service was prompt and friendly , our waiter gabriel was lovely and attentive. all our meals we excellent , and surpassed all expectations. we will definitely be back to try lunch.

a lovely outdoor venue with a delicious selection of light meals. the salads come in huge portions and are beautifully presented. they have a very tempting cake selection and it's very difficult to decide on just one! it's definitely a draw card.
a great spot for breakfast /brunch.

this is by far one of my favourite day time spots! the garden setting is just beautiful! the staff is friendly, the food is really really delicious and very well presented. i love their fries! i've had their steaks, pasta, sandwiches, tramezzinis, and several beverages including smoothies. their cakes are the best! even if i'm not having cake, i still go through and look at their cake display :-)
i'd definitely recommend it.

i have a sweet tooth and olives and plates is my go to when it comes to cake. they have a wonderful array of cakes. my all time favorite is the baklava cheesecake, however on this occasion i shared a slice of pecan pie and a hazelnut chocolate cake which was absolutely divine. the service was amazing and the staff were friendly. perfect place for brunch. i’m counting down the days till my next visit :)

great place with even "greater" food. call to reserve a table as it easily gets busy and you will end up on the waiting list. a takeaway option is available if you cannot wait to be seated. the food is great anywhere you eat it. 😊

i’ve always loved olives and plates, even the small tuck-shop is amazing! their food is always fresh, and their presentation?! nothing short of wow!!!!
the staff is friendly, the ambience is welcoming... food tastes amazing!

i might look a bit biased with the 5star rating but hey, they have never disappointed me!
