excellent food, presentation of the food my word extraordinary. you wouldn't expect to find this gem in the middle of a campus. next time i'm going for the cake too.

olive and plates has been my home and go to snack bar for nearly 2 years. their service and atmosphere is always exciting. their coffee delicious and strong. their light snacks always welcoming and their bouffet is hard to resist. it changes every day. if you are in the area defs give it a try and why not look at some art at the same time at the wits art museum.

hidden little gem this! the wits club or otherwise known as olives and plates has got to be one of jozi's greatest low key restaurants. food here is exceptional and service is always slick. it's casual yet classy as the same time. i have eaten here a few times but in this review we were a table on 14 and all food was delivered together, on time, hot and presented well; what more could you ask for? it's also seriously affordable.

***a must try is their homemade baklava - probably the best i've ever had!
***also if you're a group order a few meze platters.

what a pleasant surprise! set amidst the dreary wits campus, olives and plates offers a comforting dining experience. food is great and portions are true value for money. lovely place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even private functions. superb selection of freshly baked cakes on offer too. be sure to try the baklava - it's the best i've had.
