this has got to be one of the best breakfasts / brunch / lunch spots in joburg!

the restaurant is situated on wits campus but feels like you are sitting at a beautiful restaurant in cape town. thefoodis absolutely delicious, presented beautifully and well priced !!! we came here for breakfast today and ordered the soufflé omelette and paw paw nest. both were delicious and the presentation was lovely!

what an amazing find. this is one of those best kept secrets. delicious well presented food, beautiful decor, a choice of garden or indoor with spacious comfortable seating and excellent service. a wide variety of greek menu with a twist which is very unusual as i love greekfoodbut its generally similar wherever you go. call in advance to book and as you go through the boom at wits entrance turn right immediately or youll be driving around the whole campus perimeter to get there. the setting is huge trees in a historical cape dutch house garden.

dropped by on a saturdys for a date lunch and was very impressed. amazing seating outside even on a cool winters day!foodis fablous and attention to the smallest detail is given. prawn pasta is a must!

never knew there would be such a gem that exists on wits campus ! this place is very fancy, the service is great and so is thefood! a slice of cake is a must have after your meal ! there’s a huge variety of cakes, which makes it very difficult to choose as they all look so delicious!

i was immensely disappointed with my outing at this place. i had booked my table well in advanced. after thefoodcame to our table, one of the managers loudly announced that we need to leave the table. there after the waiter had indicated that we need to move while eating our lunch. then the customer intervened that she did not mind us being seated near her seating area. on the topic of the food, it was simple utterly bland. the the avocado with pasta had black marks. more so i ordered a second drink, which the waiter conveniently forgotten. this might have been a great place once, but the service is disrespectful and the quality of theirfoodhas deteriorated.

wonderful experience, beautiful setting and amazingfoodall round. dessert is amazing, huge selection offoodand reasonably priced in comparison to other greek outlets.foodprepared to perfection. love, love, love - new favorite restaurant

this is by far one of my favourite day time spots! the garden setting is just beautiful! the staff is friendly, thefoodis really really delicious and very well presented. i love their fries! i've had their steaks, pasta, sandwiches, tramezzinis, and several beverages including smoothies. their cakes are the best! even if i'm not having cake, i still go through and look at their cake display :-)
i'd definitely recommend it.

great place with even "greater" food. call to reserve a table as it easily gets busy and you will end up on the waiting list. a takeaway option is available if you cannot wait to be seated. thefoodis great anywhere you eat it. 😊

i’ve always loved olives and plates, even the small tuck-shop is amazing! theirfoodis always fresh, and their presentation?! nothing short of wow!!!!
the staff is friendly, the ambience is welcoming...foodtastes amazing!

i might look a bit biased with the 5star rating but hey, they have never disappointed me!

my friends and i came here for brunch after an exam. almost all the tables were reserved but luckily we managed to get a table. the service was a bit slow as the staff were getting the place ready for a function. however, the waiters are all very friendly and helpful. thefoodtook a little bit of time but it was worth it. i ordered the hot cakes. the presentation was beautiful and it was delicious. i would love to come back here to try the rest of their menu as well as their well known delicious cakes.

olives and plates was my favourite place to be at wits and i was able to host a final year event there too. the range offoodis amazing, and all of it is good. they have thee best halloumi ravioli pasta, and the ricotta pancakes for breakfast are a must. the dessert menu is the greatest selling point, with the salted caramel cheesecake being the best! the staff are very accomdating and you feel transported to an old school manor.

greatfoodand ambience , but unfortunately let down by the service after attending with colleagues. waiter was condescending in a way which changed the experience from what could have been great to beyond average.foodcan be awesome but if customer service is not on par, it's not worth it.

what amazingfoodand brilliant service! manager went out of his way to make my mother happy on her birthday. fantastic food, beautiful presentation and great service!
