the food and entertainment for the evening was wonderful. the lack of 4 stars is due to the fact that they do not inform you of the fact that a table can only pay with only 5 card machines at a time. it caused a major headache and will cause more trouble in the future. especially when one books a table for 13 people.

managers do something!

i came here with a friend on a recent trip to durban... it seemed quite busy... but we managed to score a table outside... its much smaller than the pretoria one... but i enjoyed the tartufo more than i did the mac and cheese i had in the pretoria branch...

my mate chose to eat from the deli... the portion size was quite impressive...

amazing ambiance.. tasty breads.. dolce vita coffee.. almond crossaint was delicious.. definitely a place to visit again.. a something for everyone in that store 😊

i love the interior, deli and ambiance - went for lunch twice in the past month - first time disappointed as the lasagne was “out of stock” my husband then ordered ravioli and was served “zio’s pasta” he decided to eat what was served! the beef carpaccio was delicious and the waitress friendly.
the next time the lasagne was available but not at all juicy and cheesy as italians serve it, in fact it was tasty but dry.
our waitress - memory was attentive and friendly.
missing in this italian restaurant is the presence of a real italian waiter or manager - haven’t seen anyone looking italian!
i will go back - even if only for the carpaccio and ambiance!

a simple escape in time and space..

old town italy offers the abundance, the comfort and the pure joy that only italian food can render..

from its simple custom deli platters to its flavorful pastas and pizzas old town italy allowed us a night of great conversation with awesome friends and amazing food...only to be outdone by the gelato (the perfect night cap)

veni vidi amavi..we came..we saw..we loved!!

i'd have rated this a little more, but the service needs a bit of work. lovely deli style place with seating indoors and out. focus on some really healthy options - i had the jolly green juice (celery, broccoli, cucumber - nicer than it sounds!). lunch options were calamari, melanzane, mushroom pasta and chicken - all very very yummy. followed by a great cappuccino. nice find!!!!

first time visiting the restaurant. atmosphere is good, music a little too loud.

food was excellent, well portioned and tasted fresh and well cooked. huge selection of wines, of which many are very high priced.

staff were very friendly and helpful and a mistake on my order was quickly rectified and the chef/manager (not sure) came to apologise himself.

i enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back to try the other options on the menu.

seems like it could have been a nice place to eat and shop, but the service was so bad we paid for our drinks and left. pity, cause the butchery and pastas looked great.

amazing food and platters. large variety of quality cheeses, meats, wines and cocktails for every pallet. ambience and atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing.
great, friendly, service and overall well priced.
excellent music as well.

lovely place and quite a popular spot. food is good but as only one of two customers in the store for breakfast i would have expected more attentive service.

friendly staff, beautiful restaurant with imported products. their food is homestyle italian filling good quality for money food. their gelato...... i have no words. best i've had. i would definately go back for more.

decided to try this joint that i,ve been passing for months with my cousin.

1.getting our sits was so easy and we were ushered by a friendly waiter, who didnt mind coming after every five minutes to ask whether we were ready to order or not ( we were so undecided, the menu is straight to the point and exciting)

2 the food came in the amount of time promised 💥

3normally when i have my pasta, it must be creamy and their angelo did not dissapoint 💥

4 as a lover of drinks , i told our waiter to surprise and oh boy was i blown away by the gin and tonic infused with a flower, which refreshed my throat with every sip💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥lol

5 cannot wait to come back

had the greatest brunch here - it was a public holiday so the place was packed. nevertheless i was starving so we just decided to eat at the bar. loved the vibe - staff were friendly and efficient.
the pasta was just enough to keep you full but not make you feel like you over indulged and needless to say i’m a sucker for a wood oven pizza. this was great could taste every topping. i left with a huge box of desserts and to ming jars. completely content.

went with friends as they wanted to try out the place. the place was really busy, but while the hosted found a table we could peruse the deserts so it didn't feel like a long wait. food tasted as expected.

bathroom facilities had a rustic feel to it.
