delicious, inventive, fresh, healthful food. high on comfort, low on guilt. great way to start a saturday. (busy on the weekends, but definitely worth the wait!)

great cafe in a beautiful location - very busy on a sunday morning as expected and as most cafes in the area are. beautifully presented meals - we were a bit disappointed that the menu online was different than the menu in store. we came specifically for their highly praised porridge, which was no longer on the actual menu. we tried their poached pear-apple crumble - which was a fancy deconstructed version of a homely dessert meal. probably too fancy and sweet for breakfast. we also had amazing pork & bean and a poached egg (shakshuka-like) dish - this one was a winner!
their meals were a generous serving and we'll be back to try their pancakes and standard-breaky-eggs meals ... and hopefully they'll bring back their porridge next winter!

what a find! we heard from friends about this new spot that has recently opened on the new development on the kingston foreshore. we came in for breakfast on a sunday morning and it was full with no spare seats, upon entering a waiter asked if we were looking for a seat and told us to hold tight while he organised a table. i thought this was extremely courteous and professional as they were busy yet he took the time to arrange a table for us. we ordered the green breaky plate and pea pancake and 2 of their cold pressed juices, we were given a run down on the whole foods aspect of this cafe and the method of juicing they use which was a very nice touch. the food was outstanding! being a self proclaimed foodie i have never really quite ate a dish like the greens breaky plate and was a little sceptical but was amazed at the quality and freshness also the balance of flavours was spot on! we had coffee and a chocolate brownie after our meals and was a very nice way to finish up a great experience. if you haven't been yet make sure you check it out! definitely my new weekend hang out.

i have been there 4 times and for the last 3 times the staff have left us waiting by the railing for a table whilst they continue to seat other guests. poor service!

delicious whole foods! i had a berry and dragonfruit smoothie with seeds while i read my book. was delicious and lasted a good while with good views of the lake and people watching as i drank. returned for breakfast one morning to have the waffles - extremely tasty and filling, would definitely recommend! the waffles seemed to be made of almost an orange and poppy seed muffin texture that went perfectly with the fresh fruit. service was also quick and friendly. couldn't recommend more highly!

❤️ this local cafe of ours! we're fortunate enough to live close by & frequent this place who successfully serves up great food, ambience & a crew of professional & über friendly staff. breakies & lunches are deviously healthy & hearty. even my lil' one looks forward to the treats & cuddles from jamie...

new favourite. after only a week on the canberra cafe scene this little gem on the kingston foreshore has made a big impact. focussing on whole foods and cold pressed juices, local press hits all the right notes for me. coffee was smooth and i love that they use bonsoy. the daily green juice was perfect, not too sweet and a great balance of flavours. and then come the babagounsh on sourdough, a great combination of flavours and at $12.50 it is fantastic value. so nice to see a place that is passionate about providing customers with quality food at reasonable prices. the interior is perfect and i can definitely see myself coming here a lot.

it was good, i had the minestrone soup of day which was nice and flavourful. a nice bit of chilli was served on the side which was a great addition.

good food. bit of a queue. but i guess the quality dictates the queue. good size portions. a good twist of the breakfast classics! recommend the 'cornish' sausage.

i’m not sure how the rating is so high or if it’s mainly because of their dine in food. but i didn’t get the chance to try since i only grabbed a coffee and pastry to go.
1. oat latte - the coffee was not hot and it tastes very washed out. coffee taste was not strong and the milk was way too flat
2. iced latte - not bad but also too milky
3. almond croissant - for a busy cafe you’d think the pastry was fresh. this one was stale and you can tell that it’s at least 2-3 days old.
4. the pumpkin spice muffin - holy mother of god i can’t emphasise this one enough… i took a bite and i literally gagged and almost threw up i am not even exaggerating. holy of all bad words contained for this one. when you take the first bite, it is all not bad and then it starts to settle and it’s bitter and there’s a stench that comes along with it i can’t even describe.

maybe i need to try the actual food but the takeaways are a def no go for me.

best cafe i’ve ever been to. food is very fresh, delicious and creative. never tried such combination. 100% recommended!

came from melbourne to here for a day trip and found this place from zomato. i have to say everything is perfect, the stuffs are very friendly and the food is surprisingly good and healthy. i love pink juice. i will come again next time visiting canberra.

anyone else feel like country music is slowly squeezing into today’s music scene? i’m pretty happy about it as i’m a big country music fan. had the bacon and egg bagel with a long black for breakfast this morning. danny also had the same thing except he got a flat white instead of a long black. we reckon we will go back tomorrow cause we liked it. great water view too. coffee 7.7/10

nice, cheerful place/space; good large coffees; cornish pan was tasty, as was generous bacon & egg piadina. may have to return before we head back to melbourne!!!
