kitchen no.324 - first visit - 5/5/13. sunday morning at approx. 10:35 this place is standing room only. as i was alone, was seated along the "bar" (row of seats facing street)right away. i went up to place my order and while was gone some not so nice diner took my utensils and place mat so when the young man brought me my coffee i told him what happened, pointed to my empty space, and asked him for a spoon for my coffee. he acted as if i was speaking greek! geez! he never came back! i had a heck of a time hailing down some help and finally was able to get a nice young man to bring me utensils. i wanted to dislike this place by now because of the already less thangoodservice but the food came and my order was delicious. i had poached eggs on fried green tomato and egg muffin. the sauce was amazing. i counted eight slim slices of potatoes, but figured although tiny portion, it wasgoodfor my weight. oh, and no one ever came by to offer me more coffee. i'm a pretty patient person. i will try this place again and hopefully service will be better.

a nice surprise!. we attended no. 324 after the okc memorial marathon. after looking downtown for a place to eat at while we waited for our shuttle to arrive, we came across this place.

i ordered the "green eggs and ham" and an iced mocha. i was pleasantly surprised how tasty this confection of panchetta, arugala, and poached egg on an english muffin tasted. it was wonderfully light, but i still left feeling well-fed and satisfied, as did the rest of the attendees in my party. i sampled a couple of the other choices, and they seemed very tasty as well. the food seemed to be agoodvalue for what you paid for.

as for the iced mocha i ordered, it was a tiny bit overpriced, but not any more than a starbucks coffee. however, the cold brew coffee at 324 is much better than starbucks from my experience, and i would gladly enjoy one there again.

service is a little different at this restaurant as opposed to others due to the way you order and pay for your food before it is delivered for you. think of it as a noodles & company- style of ordering. however, there is staff that goes around with coffee and water to the tables, and they were extremely attentive and polite.

overall, my experience at kitchen no. 324 was very satisfactory, and i would enjoy going back there again.

loved kitchen 324! we had to wait about 40 minutes but it was worth it! everything we tried was delicious. the location, decor, and atmosphere are all excellent. it's modern, upscale, and friendly. our service was great and we can't wait to return! i had the bacon and monterey jack strata and it was amazing! we also enjoyed a latte with hazelnut liqueur (an excellent recommendation from the server), a few pastries, and some mimosas. i love that they strive for fresh and organic ingredients. the prices aregoodand we will definitely be back!

i have mixed feelings about this place. my dining companions and i tried several different items off the brunch, lunch, and dessert menus. the farmers market brunch item was like a bento box, and the items were good. blt sandwich was okay. chorizo gravy and biscuits was too salty. chicken pot pie wasgood(traditional pot pie with a fried chicken leg sticking out of it). chicken salad made with yogurt was sweet, which wasn't expected and not preferred. their "cronut" was decent, but not like the original in nyc. the desserts were the biggest disappointment. the coconut cream pie was the better of the group, but not something i'd order again. the brown butter banana cake had way too much frosting; flavor profile was there just unbalanced by too much frosting and too little cake. the chocolate mocha was the worst. the frosting was bland, much like eating faintly flavored, very slightly sweetened shortening. should you dine here, definitely skip the desserts; they look much better than they taste.

the location and atmosphere is what really keeps me coming back. i've only visited for breakfast and always get the cathead biscuits with chorizo gravy. i was told the "cathead" part is due to the biscuits being about the size of a cat's head. this is agoodmeeting spot, although parking can be a challenge.

reallygoodbreakfast, i ordered the "open faced toast" nothing better than cutting into a perfectly cooked poached egg and seeing the silky yolk covering the dish - yum. the minimalist serene decor is also nice.

somebody's cup of tea. i would have to call this one of the trendiest brunch places i've ever been to. i think the concept is neat and the quality isgoodbut i don't like poached eggs. i wish that they prepared eggs some other way but alas they don't. there is very limited flexibility from the menu...kind of an "our way or the highway response." bacon whilegoodand flavorful but was limp (like mine crispy, especially on a blt). while i understand the appeal of this place, can't say we'd likely go back.

meh. first time we tried to go here, we were turned away because they were out of breakfast food and weren't wanting to serve lunch yet.

second time was for lunch. okay, but no better than a cafe at a hospital or mall.

last night for dinner: $5 for a piece of bread that looked like from frozen dough. no thanks jack. since no bread, could not drink wine on an empty stomach, so when i was ready for wine, the waiter was too busy sweeping the floor to ask us what we needed, even though my husband had his hand in the air for several minutes. okay. never mind. food was bland and very dry. i ate it because i was starving.

had dessert and wine at another restaurant. hubbie told me that three people looked right at him with his hand in the air and completely ignored him.

with the exception of cheevers and red, i am completely over thegoodegg group. i hear 24 isgoodfor breakfast. but i think it's just a glorified ihop.

chicken pot pie. came here at 2/11/2014 at 1:00 pm. two of us got the chicken pot pie. the pie had agoodcrust, and agoodbroth inside.the fried chicken drumstick they put in is mediocre, it had an average batter and the meat was not even warm i guess it wasn't cooked to order? another friend got the braised beef, it was good.

did anyone give this waitress training?
besides the food, our waitress was bad. cups of water was empty for a long time had to wave her down for service. she cleaned the table next to us and actually sprayed me and my friend with the table cleaner, while we're eating. she didn't even notice until i said something. so we get table cleaner on us and our food. when we were checking out my waitress failed moving my chicken drumstick with a fork back on the plate to take away, failed because she would not touch it "uhhh....i'm not touching that" word for word. so i did her job for her and picked up the bone. it was a clean bone and she was acting like there was sauce all over it. even if it was covered in sauce, it's still your job to clean up. the customer service experience the worst i've had in a long time. it felt like her attitude was she was doing us a favor by being there. we did not feel welcome.
