the “spicy” dishes are not spicy enough since it is thai but the flavours are there.

i have tried the curries, soft shell crab and barramundi. all taste great, good portion size, lots of flavour.

great ambience and service as well,food quality and quantity is also good.nice place for thai food lovers or to have date with partner.

we didn't particularly plan to go to kinn thai at westfield garden city for valentine's day but it worked out that way. they had a free dessert offer when you do a facebook check in so that's how we got our free serve of khanom chan (a steamed layer cake similar to the kueh lapis or 九层糕) to start the meal.

our food order:
* pad prik khing, $13.90 - stir fried crispy pork belly, green bean in chilli kaffir lime jam sauce served with steamed rice
* massamun curry beef, $13.90 - served with steamed rice
* satay chicken, $3

we ordered from the lunch special menu, which for some reason weren't provided until we asked for it (i knew there was one from seeing it online). it wasn't just or take either as i noticed a table next to ours who got seated halfway through our meal also had the same issue.

with the lunch menu you have the option of adding a soft drink for $2 and/or a side for $3. our satay dish had 3 smallish sticks of chicken, with one stick looking a bit more impoverished than the other two. flavour was good though, with a lovely peanuty sauce.

the two mains were similarly bang on in taste, as you'd expect from a good thai meal. i thought my pork belly could've been slightly better in the meat/veg to rice ratio department, though with the massamun curry having such a morish curry sauce i was happily loading that onto my rice.

this place seems to be pretty busy on the occasions i've been past at night so i'm keen to return for dinner sometime, maybe with a group so that we can try/share more dishes 👌

i’ve been here twice for group dinners and both times have been a good experience. all the food we had was excellent and the service was pretty fast considering it was completely packed. the portions are small for some of the dishes compared to the price per meal but the flavour is great and with rice it’s filling too. their drinks menu is extensive too and adds to the experience.

love this place! myself and my wife go all the time! it’s her favourite place so i bring her here when i’ve pissed her off so it cheers her up pretty quick 😂 marriage saver

went there at lunch time, didn’t notice that they have a lunch special menu. sat down and only got the dinner full priced menu, ordered two meals and saw the other tables all got the lunch special menu. told them at the cashier, got blamed by the staff as they think it’s their customer’s fault to not ask for the lunch menu. one of the staff even said ‘we are busy today, not everyone get the lunch menu, if you want it you should ask for it.’ how can we ask for it when we don’t even know the special menu exist? not a single sorry or any kinds of apologies. very disappointed with their customer service, will not visit again.

kinn thai westfield garden city is a very popular restaurant - packed within an hour of its opening on a saturday night! and for good reason - this bustling restaurant provides efficient, timely and friendly service; as well as impeccable food. we ordered around 16 dishes and all were very well cooked, presented nicely and had amazing flavours. definitely worth the price. the 7 drinks we ordered were also well made, the virgin piña colada in particular was delicious! highly recommend kinn thai for those who have not tried it!! but i would advise booking a table in advance.

best thai food in brisbane!!!

this is my go-to thai place. everything is delicious. the ice cream and iced thai milk tea are so good. the only downside is the price, but it is understandable that the costs of running such a big restaurant with such number of staff and a big menu are inevitably high. i would say that it's worth what you pay for!

this was my favourite restaurant until today. we found a piece of softshell crab with gills! gills made crabs taste disgusting. when we quiried it, according to the chef, they never cut gills off all their softshell crabs. this is how they serve all their softshell crabs. i have never heard of any restaurant serve softshell crabs with gills on. its sad to see how their service dropped the ball now they are busy.

kinn’s food is always fresh and delicious. the service is good. while they accept bookings for large groups, i find the restaurant is too loud to really converse effectively. cocktails are ok but nothing special and are quite expensive.

beautifully decorated restaurant with little touches of thai cultural statues. very intimate setting where you can have a nice meal out.

the waitresses and waiters were readily available if you needed anything.
heaters outside as it was quite chilly.
the menu had alot of variety.

i ordered the spicy noodle with beef dish. ive had this dish many times with fond memories- made by friends, made by family, made by a boss lady in the organised chaotic city of bangkok, thailand.

unfortunately, this dish didnt take me anywhere. admittedly, it took me to disappointment city and a stop over at regretsville.
the flavours were too overwhelming and didnt give the slices of beef justice. there was too much sauce that was too sweet. disappointingly the traditional and well balanced thai combination of sour, sweet, salty and chilli flavour was lost.
i ended up skipping on dessert as i already had my sugar hit.
would i go again? yes. however, i wouldn't be a regular. it reminded me of chinese food being too westernised and confusing the heck out of my tastebuds.
authenticity is key. and authentic thai at its finest, is unbeatable and never disappointing.

food was great but the customer service was extremely disgusting. my friend and i waited at the front of the restaurant for a table. the staff did not acknowledge us and were enjoying their conversations when there were plenty of empty tables at the back of the restaurant. when we wanted to order, numerous staff saw our "waves" but decided to walk pass us and ignore. i have noticed this thai restaurant is extremely welcoming to white/caucasian customers but super rude to asian customer. not going to visit again. over priced for the awful service we have received.
