was nice! great atmosphere, friendly staffs, crunchy pork belly and curry was awsome.
can't wait to visit thisplaceagain i want to try other menu!

good ambient, nice food. services are fast and very friendly. chicken salad that i had was full of flavors and refreshing at the same time. goodplaceto go with friends.

modern style thai, set in the trendy part of garden city. large dining area so you don't normally need to wait long for a table and it can cater for groups of various sizes. good menu selection and friendly service. timing of food and taste were also good. had the massamun lamb shank which was pretty yum. price is what you would expect for a modern style restaurant, not the cheapest. goodplaceto go if you are in the area, seeing a movie etc but not somewhere you would drive across town for. overall, would recommend.

we didn't particularly plan to go to kinn thai at westfield garden city for valentine's day but it worked out that way. they had a free dessert offer when you do a facebook check in so that's how we got our free serve of khanom chan (a steamed layer cake similar to the kueh lapis or 九层糕) to start the meal.

our food order:
* pad prik khing, $13.90 - stir fried crispy pork belly, green bean in chilli kaffir lime jam sauce served with steamed rice
* massamun curry beef, $13.90 - served with steamed rice
* satay chicken, $3

we ordered from the lunch special menu, which for some reason weren't provided until we asked for it (i knew there was one from seeing it online). it wasn't just or take either as i noticed a table next to ours who got seated halfway through our meal also had the same issue.

with the lunch menu you have the option of adding a soft drink for $2 and/or a side for $3. our satay dish had 3 smallish sticks of chicken, with one stick looking a bit more impoverished than the other two. flavour was good though, with a lovely peanuty sauce.

the two mains were similarly bang on in taste, as you'd expect from a good thai meal. i thought my pork belly could've been slightly better in the meat/veg to rice ratio department, though with the massamun curry having such a morish curry sauce i was happily loading that onto my rice.

thisplaceseems to be pretty busy on the occasions i've been past at night so i'm keen to return for dinner sometime, maybe with a group so that we can try/share more dishes 👌

really enjoyable trip to kinn thai.great atmospherea and nice and busy which is always a good sign. i had been meaning to try thisplacefor a while. 

i love how the venue looks and is perfect for a group dinner or even just a nice date. 

we got the panang curry with chicken and the beef massaman. they were both beautiful, and cooked to perfection. i would like to come back with a big group and do a banquet where we just order heaps of food and try a little bit of everything! :d perhaps over xmas.

finally got to try thisplaceafter waking by it several dozen times!
i noticed that at dinner time thisplacehas the most customers of all the restaurants in this part of garden city.

atmosphere: dark and suitable for date night. quite an intimate setting for the hordes of other diners.

service: fairly quick and unobtrusive. or meals came within ten minutes of ordering.

food: i particularly liked the black fungus salad (crunchy and gelatinous at the same time???) and the chicken satay (lightly aromatic flavour). we also had the fried tofu (tasted like it had a soft chat mochi coating), crispy pork belly and beef masaman and roti.
the pork belly was not bad; although, i would have liked crisper skin. the capsicum sauce was interesting.
masaman needed a little too mich sugar.
roti was a wierd combination of puff pastry and flatbread.

verdict: will need more information (another try). value foroney ok.

we went on a sunday night and theplacewas very busy. i have also been to the one in chermside and the food both times were absolutely amazing thai food! we had the chilli jam soft shell crab (a must), thai green curry, crispy barramundi, satay chicken and a duck curry. the food was well balanced and delicious. also loved the menu here, it was good to have plenty of pictures so you knew what you were ordering! would definitely recommend and will be going back very soon!

the food here was tasty. theplacewas very busy on a thursday night at garden city, however the service was really fast considering. i would definitely recommend the pad thai.

my favourite thaiplaceby far. kinn consistently has excellent food and service. often busy on a friday or saturday night, but the ambience and decor are lovely, the staff attentive and the food is often a unique twist on an old favourite. the pork ribs and soft shell crab are standouts on an extensive menu. it's a little pricey but not bad.

i never write reviews but i had to for this one. my favourite thaiplacein brisbane! in fact the best thai i have tried so far. cant wait to eat here again :):)

mrs kan do and i have been looking for some good thai around brisbane and unfortunately our search isn't over yet (any suggestions would be welcome!).
we ordered a prawns pad thai and prawns tom yum at kinn thai, which is very conveniently situated in the outdoor dining area of westfield garden city.
the tom yum was the better of the two dishes and rated a 3.5. i felt it was fresh and delicious, but mrs kan do pointed out there was some unnecessary sweetness.
unfortunately i also had a clumsy moment though and spilt some of it on myself and the table. it was a busy lunch period and we had an inexperienced waiter who left it to us to clean up and source serviettes as best we could.
the pad thai was also quite okay, but as we are finding is a common problem with thai restaurants in brisbane, the dish was too sweet.
not aplacewe are likely to come back to often.

went for lunch. theplaceis set out very nicely, with large tables and cushioned seats. service was great and polite, and the meals came quickly, despite theplacebeing quite busy. we had spicy noodles and chicken fried rice. both dishes tasted great, despite being more western than traditional thai. we'll be back to try dinner!

great food. thisplaceis always busy, so recommend booking. from thursday night to saturday night you can't sit back and chat, once you have finished your meal be ready to leave. this has happened to me 3 to 4 times.
