so gabby and i have been talking about going for sushi for a couple of days, but we were a bit hesitant about trying out the gigantic windowless white box across the street. turns out you shouldn't judge a book by its cover!!
for dinner we had prosecco, oysters, chefs special s & s, some salad with with marinated sashimi, microgreens and taco chips, and i think something else but i can't remember what... it was all really good.
we did not order the lamb chop or the lamb chops because because they each cost $8 and i thought that was kind of a suspicious price. fortunately, i saw that the boys at the table next to us (who are moving to thailand) were eating lamb chop (lamb chops?). i said, hey dudes, how are the $8 lamb chop (lamb chops?). they were like great, can we buy you girls some?? we replied, sure.
anyways, soon the stereo started playing this great new song, which turned out to be the fire alarm. that did not stop everybody in the (packed)restaurantfrom singing along and dancing.
as we were enjoying our dessert of more prosecco and more oysters, several firemen marched in and checked out the kitchen. our bill was presented with an apology (and probably like us you're asking for what??). they then gave us an unopened package of bread sticks with icing on them, 10% off our bill, and a coupon for 10% off our next bill.
as we left, gabby and i agreed that this would be where we would eat dinner every night for the rest of our lives.
