bland. monday night dinner for 2. ordered the linguini chicken pasta and meatball pizza.

food was bland - nothing that set it apart from any other pizza place. same for the pasta. given the rating and the hype, left disappointed.

amazing quality for what you pay! my husband had the goat cheese and pear salad to start with the fusili bolognaise as a main and creme brûlée for dessert. i had the grilled calamari to start, the fettucini carbonara as a main and the tieramisu for dessert. the portions are huge and we probably could have shared if we could have decided on anything we both wanted, lol. everything was well seasoned, well cooked. the staff was on top of our drinks and bread, took away used plates promptly. i can't say enough good about this restaurant!

my husband & i dined at ii terrazzo on a recent weekend trip to victoria. we found the experience wonderful. great location close to the harbor, government street, and royal bc museum. the food was well prepared and included fresh bread...i had the frutti di mare. my scallops and mussels were cooked perfectly and it was a good portion of protein. my husband had a butternut squash cannelloni with an amazing curry flavor. also the wine list was extensive. the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. i would definitely recommend reservations in advance, we stopped in the day before to ask and were able to snag an early dinner spot at 5 pm...so plan ahead! would definitely return if we are ever again in the area.

disappointed. i went to this restaurant because my family had a gift card to it and my brother likes this restaurant alot. however, boy was the food crummy. the service was extremely quick, however, i was left dissatisfied when the entree i got was underwhelming. by the way i got the chicken marco polo. additionally, my girlfriend got a pretty good entree with a delicious white wine reduction but for the price this place turned out to be rather over rated.

brilliant all around!. visiting my sister in victoria who lives in the building connected to il terrazzo, passing and smelling the aromas from the kitchen. i was eager to taste the food from this highly recommended restaurant. the reviews recommended the filletto d'halibut and i can honestly say this is the best halibut i have ever had. baked with cambozola cheese and a blackberry, green peppercorn, aged balsamic vinegar reduction on top of 3 cheese pasta. the food here was so good, instead of finishing our meal we decided to save the rest for our after drinking late night snack. the service was friendly, funny and informative. top notch. the ambiance and feel of the restaurant made for warm and enjoyable evening.

i highly recommend this restaurant. sometimes you can believe the hype! thanks il terrazzo. i will come visit victoria more often for you alone. a++

always enjoyable. we brought our friends to il terrazzo as they are looking for a fine dining experience with amazing atmosphere and ambiance. we all liked the fantastic atmosphere, even though it was packed on a saturday evening. our server was great as he was friendly, and suggested lots of good choices for my friends who are coming to il terrazzo for the first time. the cozze (steam mussels) was great as usual, and the ingredients blend in nicely. in general, the food was not as good as before; perhaps the kitchen had a busy night. the rack of lamb (carre d'agnello) does not have enough flavor, and lacks presentation. the seafood pasta is decent, with generous and fresh ingredients. the grilled chicken breast and halibut (filletto d'halibut) were grilled nicely, though the taste were also average. i do not like the three cheese sauce on the pasta as it does not taste good and go well with the halibut. although my friends are too full for dessert, i always save my stomach for the tiramisu, which is the star of the dessert menu. overall, we had an enjoyable evening as a result of the fantastic atmosphere, and attentive service. i think the quality of the food has declined a little bit, and the quality and the presentation of the food might not fit into the fine dining category.

nice romantic spot, excellent food and service. although i have read some poor reviews about the food and service of il terrazzo, i felt the service was always excellent everytime i go there. the server was very friendly, and it is the second time that he served us. last night was no different, the sevice was great on a busy friday evening; the food has some ups and downs.

we had the cozze (steam mussels with banana peppers and sundried tomatoes), and tasted great as usual. my gf had the linguine con frutti di mare (seafood pasta), and the seafood had good flavors and blended in nicely with spices. however, i had the pollo appolonia (chicken breast with seafood and fusili pasta), and the three cheese sauce on the pasta was so salty!! for dessert, i had the tiramisu as i always do. the best place of the restaurant is the patio, and it was packed on a cold evening.

overall, this place is a great place for a date, family dinner, or any anniversary occasion. the food and service were great despite some setbacks on the food quality on a typical busy evening. the portion was big as we could barely finish our main dishes. however, i do agree with other reviews that some bottle wines seem to be overpriced. we only had 2 glasses of wine and 1 glass of cocktail, so this issue didnt bother me much. although this high-end italian restaurant is not as good as the middle high end italian restaurants of hong kong, this is the place to go if you want to enjoy a romantic atmosphere with great service.

italian in victoria. have visited victoria a couple times lately both times had dinner at il terrazo. fantastic food and atmosphere. i will go there every time i visit victoria. willies bakery for breakfast and il terrazo for dinner.

terrazzo love. i love this restaurant. i've been eating here for years and never been disappointed. sometimes i wish they had a few traditional italian choices, but everything i've tried has been delicious. expect the wallet to be hit hard.

always dependable. i have my anniversary here every year... and every time, i leave there satisfied. to start off they put a nice warm basket of bread at your table. bread was good, but the tapenade put it over the top. i've had many varieties of tapenade and they are usually overpowering. but they got it just right, it complemented the bread perfectly. i would go back just for the bread.
my one complaint would have to be that they serve a different kind of "cola"? i love my rum & coke. thats one aspect that most restaurants seem to skip out on. they take pride in using the highest quality ingredients, except when it comes to drinks? i never understood this logic. people usually say that "people don't even notice the difference" , i would beg to differ....

outstanding!!!. to start, we received fresh, warm baked bread with olive tapenade - yum! i was so elated to see that our calamari antipasti was not deep fried. we received four large tubes of beautifully grilled squid stuffed with a herb dressing and nestled among fresh tomato sauce - excellent! my mom's entree consisted of perfectly cooked arborio rice incorporated with large chopped pieces of prawn accompanied by julienned cucumber, slices of mushrooms and thin strips of marinated seaweed. all of these fresh items were enveloped in a white wine and chicken stalk sauce topped with crispy pan fried squid. absolutely delectable!!! i ordered the cannelloni stuffed with pulled braised pork loin and gruyere cheese baked with sauteed apples and napa cabbage - amazing flavor combination. the atmosphere took me back to italy - warm, inviting, and rustic chic. the portions are huge, so make sure you show up very hungry!!! five stars!

canalian food?. this is not italian food, this is over priced americanized food. at which point, i'd much prefer to go to pagliaci's (new york italian) where the food is a world of better and the prices are reasonable. nuf said.
