as this is on so many must try lists in melbourne it was somewhere we had to go. it’s so popular there’s usually a line to get in, always a good sign. we didn’t have to wait very long for a table, the menu and ordering is through an app which is convenient. varied menu with lots of different options from traditional to more creative choices. the chilli crab scramble something i’d heard was a must try and did not disappoint, my partner got the big breakfast which other than the bread which was very hard as it had been toasted, everything was delicious. i didn’t enjoy the iced thai milk tea but i like everything very sweet so that may just be my personal taste. definitely somewhere to try if you’re in melbourne!

i remember visiting here a few years ago. this is probably one of the only places that has maintained its quality post-covid-19. i’m usually not a breakfast person because most places just do sourdough and eggs, but the menu items here are creative enough to stray away from typical breakfast options that it makes it a must visit.

great brunch place. huge portions. lovely interior and ambiance. be prepared for a long queue (at least 30 minutes waiting time). try to avoid lunch time peak hour. try it if you're in melbourne.

we arrived on a saturday afternoon, around 12 and the line was massive. round 6-7 groups were waiting before us. it took around 20min for us to get a table, which is still quick for me considering the long line.
blue is the main color for the shop, looks really fresh and modern. items in menu are fusion asian. we ordered crab scrambled egg and french toast forever. the serving was huge and the decoration is really impressive.

scrambled egg was creamy and delicious, well-combined with siracha mayo. crossant is my favorite so cant go wrong with that.

french toast is stuffed with cream cheese, served with generous amount of fresh fruit: fig, berries, banana and grapes.

we were so full that we couldnt finish the toast but it was a really good brunch, totally worth it.
the only drawback is the long wait, the line was the same after we finished which was around 2. if you dont mind the long wait, i highly recommend this place

came with my mum and two friends yesterday. just a heads up that if you wish to avoid the queue, come early! we arrived at 11:20 and but waited for an hour to get inside. but food here sas super amazing! we ordered 4 dishes, 4 lattes and a matcha bingsu. the portions were huge! we almost didn’t finish the bingsu because we were so full. the food was instagrammable and delicious, which stands out from other competitors. definitely will come back!

my friend visited me from overseas, i took her to here!!! the cafe decoration is very innovative! love their feature walls. food is pretty good too.

nice place with nice food. im from indonesia, humble rays one of favorite and famous brunch when in melbourne. aand one of favorite place for asian people.

staff were quick, efficient and polite. they got us seated quickly, and attentive to get our order soon after.

i had the matcha latte which was silky and not too sweet, and balanced with the bitterness of matcha.

i also ordered the crab meat scramble. i enjoyed the scrambled eggs on croissant with the hints of chilli. however, i couldn't really see the crab meat or taste much of it. overall, still an enjoyable dish.

i would still be interested to try the other dishes.

humble rays is one of best brunch spots in melbourne. come here early as the line outside can get pretty long after 11am on weekends. would highly recommend dining inside the gorgeous glow of eggshell blue and mint for the full experience. some of my personal favourites are french toast forever, belly dancing, crab meat scramble and egg benny. portion sizes here reflects chef tinee's goal in making sure everyone leaves well fed and very well priced considering the quality. hats off to the recruiter for always seem to be hiring quality staffs that served us with a smile no matter how busy it gets here.

customer service really depends on the person. one was nice, one hardly acknowledged my existence and i didn't know whether he heard me cos he wouldn't answer a single yes or ok. still did his work tho, so guess it's not terrible.

had an amazing breakfast here. shame that they don’t have avocado in the menu ... a bit strange for a melbourne cafe not to have it. service is very attentive. food came out in no time and are a delight for the eyes and stomach.

first time i find something strange like 粥 in this breakfast restaurant...i think the taste is just soso but..such a high rank! so many people! why...

this is the only photo i have because we were so hungry lol we ordered belly dancing, crab meat scramble, pulled beef burger and monkey business for dessert. huge servings!

they serve an amazing asian infused menu and their popular dishes are the egg waffle and scramble egg croissant. we really enjoyed their matcha and hojicha latte here as well

loved how their brunch options are different and they are unique. would love to be back for their dessert range

a really good brunch spot that has really got the fusion aspect down pat to differentiate itself from the numerous other brunch places around melbourne. food was yummy and aesthetic.
